We are on the eve of NVIDIA's next-gen GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card being unleashed, but that hasn't stopped the weekend leak game from continuing to tease GPUs that we, unfortunately, won't see this year.

NVIDIA's beasty new GeForce RTX 4090 is a powerhouse you'll find out about shortly, but earlier this year we heard crazy rumors of the full Ada Lovelace GPU and its next-gen power with an 800W or even 900W+ insane card that would be known as the new TITAN... and hopefully, TITAN Ada.

Well, Moore's Law is Dead pumped another video out over the weekend with one of his trusted sources giving us an update on TITAN Ada... and yeah... what an update. Tom at MLID explains: "this comes from somebody that over about 6 months they have proven to me they are more than legit, based on the pictures and information they've fed me before things have been made official. This person tells me that as of now, TITAN Ada is cancelled. It's just too much for now".

Microsoft's cloud gaming plan is accelerating and will help the nascent market mature on a mass market level.

Xbox's cloud gaming platform is evolving. Today Microsoft revealed two key developments that will help push cloud adoption, reach, and access to new levels. One announcement was actually a tease--Xbox boss Phil Spencer showed what appears to be an unannounced Xbox device, which is believed to be the often-rumored Xbox streaming box aimed at delivering console-free gaming through cloud gaming.

The other development seems small but is actually pretty big. Microsoft has added the ability to launch cloud games from its search engine Bing. If a game is offered on Xbox cloud streaming, searching for the game will bring up a dedicated play button that opens up a streaming link on the Xbox mainsite. Within two clicks, Game Pass Ultimate can jump right into a game via the browser.

Phil Spencer's shelf is something of a celebrity in itself. At first glance, the shelf looks innocuous enough with gaming curios--there's a controller, a sword, other mementos--award plaques, and various devices. There's often secrets in the pictures, though. If the Xbox gaming boss shares a picture of the shelf then it's worth a second glance.

A closer look at the shelf shows what appears to be new Xbox system of some sort. It's too small to be a Series S, which is also pictured on the shelf. Speculation says that the device is the often-rumored Xbox streaming-only device that would allow gamers to access Xbox games entirely through the cloud, delivering instant console-free access.

Twitch streamers are getting seriously injured after jumping into a foam pit at TwitchCon San Diego

Multiple people have been harmed after jumping into a foam pit at the latest TwitchCon. One streamer, former adult film star Adriana Chechik, was severely injured after performing a high split jump into the foam pit. Chechik broke her back in two places and the injury is so severe that it requires surgery to implant a metal rod into her back.

"Well, I broke my back in two places and am getting surgery to put a metal rod in for support today. Send your support. When it rains it pours and I am definitely feeling the rain right now," Chechik said on Twitter.

The Sun is much larger than people may expect and constantly affects Earth with blasts of charged particles streaming from its surface in various forms.

Our local star has a diameter of 864,000 miles, which may be hard to visualize, but being the largest object in our solar system, that isn't surprising. Notably, approximately 1.3 million Earths can fit inside the Sun, and due to its immense size and power, its presence directly affects Earth. An example of how the Sun can affect us is seen above in an incredible video captured by Miguel Claro, who writes on Space.com that on July 10, 2022, the Sun released a gigantic solar prominence that resulted in a coronal mass ejection (CME) being launched into space.

Claro explains in his article that as soon as he realized that a solar prominence was visible, he began taking photos, with the astrophotographer snapping pics of our star from 5:37 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. local time (Alqueva, Portugal). The final results are absolutely stunning, and as Claro explains, the short video is comprised of approximately one-hour images that shows the prominence swirling like a tornado over time. Plasma releases such as the one seen in the above video, when directed at Earth, can result in charged solar particles impacting Earth's magnetic field.

A group of scientists has condensed 1 billion years of tectonic plate activity into one short 40-second video showing how drastically the planet has changed over time.

In 2021 a group of scientists created one of the most complete models of Earth's tectonic plate movements ever. The video was published on YouTube in February last year and showcases how these incredibly large pieces of irregularly shaped solid rock have moved over the course of millions of years, revealing how locations we know today were in completely different spots on the planet a millennia ago.

An example of this is Antarctica, which is a place known for its extreme freezing temperatures, but at one stage during Earth's evolution, it was warm as it was positioned at the planet's equator. To humans, tectonic plates only move a few centimeters every year, but over large periods of time, they have moved drastically. Creating models such as the one above will enable scientists to learn more about tectonic plate movement patterns and, in turn, will allow for scientists to predict where they will end up in the future.

A YouTuber has posted a video where he built the entire universe inside of Minecraft in what may be the biggest effort ever made inside the game.

The YouTuber ChrisDaCow posted the video on October 4 titled "How I Built the Entire Universe in Minecraft" to Reddit, where it quickly went viral, gaining hundreds of awards and multiple supportive comments on the effort that was made. This isn't the first time ChrisDaCow has challenged himself inside of Minecraft, as the YouTuber has previously recreated Middle Earth, dragons, Van Gogh's Starry Night, factories, and much more.

However, recreating the entire universe is the biggest challenge ChrisDaCow has ever made, and the results are absolutely phenomenal. Chris explains during the video that there was quite a lot of planning involved and that he used Minecraft mods such as WorldEdit to speed up the development of the process as well as painting large selections of blocks. Despite the fact that mods were used to create the project, the effort that was made is still gargantuan.

A group of researchers has claimed they've discovered what they believe to be the secret ingredients to the building blocks of life.

A new paper published in the scientific journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences details a discovery made by researchers from Purdue University. The researchers behind the study describe the discovery as "dramatic" as they believe that the "secret ingredient for building life" has been found.

According to Graham Cooks, a chemistry professor at Purdue University and lead author on the newly published paper, the discovery is "essentially the chemistry behind the origin of life" and that this is the first demonstration of "primordial molecules, simple amino acids, spontaneously form peptides, the building blocks of life, in droplets of pure water".

Neil deGrasse Tyson and Elon Musk have taken to Twitter to debunk the physics seen throughout Tom Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick.

The latest installment into the Top Gun series saw the return of Tom Cruise playing the fan-favorite character Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell for the highly anticipated sequel, and while the movie was certainly a success at the box office, scientists such as Neil deGrasse Tyson have broken down the physics that were displayed throughout a specific scene in the movie. As with most movies, what viewers witness on the big screen isn't necessarily possible in real life, and Maverick's achievement of reaching Mach 10.5 seems to be one of those instances.

deGrasse Tyson took to Twitter to explain that when Maverick was traveling at Mach 10.5 and was forced to eject from his aircraft due to a malfunction, he was moving at 7,000 mph, which gave him 400 million joules of kinetic energy, or the explosive power of 100 kg (220 pounds) of TNT. deGrasse Tyson added that the human body is incapable of surviving this much kinetic energy and that Maverick would have certainly died in the real-world.

Elon Musk announced last week that he was going to follow through with purchasing the world's second-largest social media platform - Twitter.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO reversed on his three-month-long fight to try to back out of the $44 billion acquisition where he cited that Twitter didn't reveal the "true" number of bot accounts on its platform - an important factor that would drastically impact the total valuation of the company. Back peddling on his push to be released from the acquisition without paying the $1 billion exit fee, Musk is now moving forward with the deal and has said that he will follow through on his original offer of purchasing every share at $54.20 ($44 billion total).

Additionally, the billionaire canceled negotiations to reduce the price of Twitter by $10 billion from the initially agreed upon $44 billion price tag, and his legal team, in a letter sent to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), says that Musk will complete the purchase of the platform if the Delaware Chancery Court will "adjourn the trial and all other proceedings related" to the ongoing lawsuit, which was scheduled to take place on October 17. Twitter hasn't dropped its lawsuit against Musk in a move to force the Tesla CEO to complete the deal.

Elon Musk's SpaceX recently launched a groundbreaking mission to the International Space Station (ISS) with its workhorse Falcon 9 rocket.

NASA's SpaceX Crew-5 mission launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on October 5 to the International Space Station (ISS) with the Falcon 9 rocket carrying four astronauts aboard the Dragon capsule. The launch marked the fifth crew rotation mission of the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft, and after an approximately 29-hour flight to the floating laboratory, the four astronauts successfully docked and entered the ISS on October 6.

As with all of SpaceX's launches, the mission liftoff was livestreamed via its social channels as well as NASA's own livestream. The four astronauts aboard the Dragon capsule and now members of the ISS crew are: NASA's Nicole Mann and Josh Cassada, Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata and cosmonaut Anna Kikina. Notably, the presence of NASA's Nicole Mann marks the very first time a Native American woman has reached the final frontier, with an additional milestone being reached with cosmonaut Anna Kikina being the first Russian to fly on a private American spacecraft.

Right now multiple worldwide regulators are sifting through tons of games industry data. The massive Microsoft-Activision merger is looming and regulators have collected libraries of data, figures, testimonials, and expert opinions as they try to determine if the mega-merger is good for consumers and the $198 billion video games market as a whole.

Sony is tackling its live service games the proper way by releasing them across multiple platforms at once.

Sony wants to release 12 live games on the market by the year 2025. It's a big undertaking that will require experimentation, growing pains, and probably failure and eventual adaptation. Despite the risks, Sony wants to try and capture the lucrative live gaming market that generated over $7.5 billion for PlayStation last year.

A big part of this live games plan is releasing the titles across multiple platforms. Sony confirms that it will release its live games simultaneously on both PC and PlayStation consoles, which is a requirement in order to reach as many players as possible. Live service games live and die based on playerbase numbers and it is critical that they are made available on multiple storefronts, platforms, and mediums whenever possible.

PlayStation games will have a 1 year lead time on consoles over PC, and PS5 games are expected to stay on consoles for at least 1 year before coming to the PC market.

Sony is going all-in on PC and is bringing its once carefully-guarded PlayStation exclusives to Steam and the Epic Games Store. Before now Sony hadn't outlined its exact cadence pattern for bringing PlayStation games to PC; the new venture felt sporadic as older games like Days Gone, Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, and Spider-Man all crossing over to PC years after release.

Now as Sony starts ramping up its PC ports with four more releases on the horizon, PlayStation Worldwide Studios boss Hermen Hulst confirms that we should start seeing more PlayStation 5 exclusives jump over to PC. Sony's consoles will now instead have timed-exclusivity on some of its first-party games--a business model that Sony formerly used against competitors, but is now using to help widen availability of its products.

It's official: Actress Elle Fanning will star in Hideo Kojima's new game...but we don't know which one it is.

A bit ago during Tokyo Game Show, Kojima Productions put out teaser images of a shadowy headshot to promote his new project. The woman in teaser image was identified fairly quickly by internet sleuths as Elle Fanning, the sister of actress Dakota Fanning who starred in films like Super 8 and Maleficent.

Now Hideo Kojima has officially confirmed that Elle Fanning will indeed be a main character in his next game. We just don't know which game it is.

God of War Ragnarok is the latest high-production AAA PlayStation game to be coordinated by nearly a dozen game developers, studios, and motion capture groups.

PlayStation games command some of the biggest budgets in gaming and represent significant co-operation between lots of teams. The latest God of War game is no exception and actually had quite a few teams working together on the project.

Sony recently confirmed God of War Ragnarok went gold, meaning it is entirely finished and ready to meet its November 9 release date. Nestled in the announcement is a look at how many studios and teams worked on the new Norse fantasy game; Including Sony Santa Monica, who handled principle development, nine studios, groups, and companies helped make Ragnarok a reality.

Uber and Motional have entered a 10-year partnership for the IONIQ 5 electric vehicle robotaxis to hit the streets, ferrying UberX and Uber Comfort Electric passengers.

Ideally, these robotaxis will help Uber reduce vehicle downtime while improving customer satisfaction as wait times and fees are both lowered. Public launch is expected to start before the end of 2022, and expand to cities across the United States on a wider scale moving forward.

Data-driven insights will be shared from Uber to Motional to maximize passenger satisfaction while riding in these autonomous vehicles. Both companies worked together in 2022 for autonomous food deliveries using the rideshare's Uber Eats service for select customers in California.

Volvo's upcoming EX90 has great potential with its bi-directional charging that allows a flow from the vehicle back to the energy grid.

The Volvo EX90 uses bi-directional charging and may have the ability for owners to make energy utilization cheaper, more efficient, and more sustainable. The bi-directional charging would make it possible for an EX90 owner to power a house if there is a blackout or some other issue that occurs.

Ideally, many other EVs could be used to create a "virtual powerplant" that would be able to ease the strain of an overloaded electric grid.
