Intel is providing more details for its upcoming Xe GPU and discrete graphics card, with their first 7nm Xe GPU codenamed Ponte Vecchio -- which is an old stone bridge in Florence, Italy.

But if you were expecting this to be Intel's first foray into gaming graphics cards, you're going to be disappointed -- Ponte Vecchio is the first Xe GPU for exascale computing. Intel will be unveiling more details on Project Aurora on November 17, which will feature Sapphire Rapids Xeon CPUs, Ponte Vecchio GPUs and Intel's new initiative called oneAPI.

Intel's new Ponte Vecchio GPU will use Foveros packaging technology and CLX interconnection, as well as ultra-high cache and high bandwidth memory. Intel's new codename Ponte Vecchio will also feature high double-precision FP throughput. This isn't a gaming card once again, and an exscale computing product.

SAPPHIRE is preparing another custom Navi graphics card with a new member to soon join the Radeon RX 5700 XT family of graphics cards from the company in the form of the NITRO+ RX 5700 XT Special Edition.

Just how special is the new NITRO+ RX 5700 XT Special Edition from SAPPHIRE to differentiate itself from the regular NITRO+ RX 5700 XT that I reviewed here? Well, SAPPHIRE will be offering the ARGB fans pre-installed, versus them being an optional purchase -- with SAPPHIRE including 2 x 95x15mm fans and 1 x 87x13.5mm fan.

These fans are translucent and look pretty slick, with addressable RGB lighting to boot -- but it's not just looks that SAPPHIRE is providing with its new NITRO+ RX 5700 XT Special Edition. SAPPHIRE will be clocking the new NITRO+ SE a little higher, with the Navi GPU clocked at up top 2035MHz versus 2010MHz on the regular NITRO+.

A new patch has just enabled AMD FidelityFX technology for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, with the new Patch 18 update offering the option of FidelityFX to Radeon graphics card owners.

FidelityFX enabled in Shadow of the Tomb Raider offers the option of enabling upsampling and/or sharpening, so while it might sound like simple Radeon Image Sharpening (RIS) on the outside -- reducing the resolution to boost FPS, it's more detailed than that.

AMD offers through FidelityFX the ability to developers to build specific features into their game engines, enabling developers to specify which part of the rendered game receives Contrast Adaptive Sharpening, or CAS. This means developers can fine tune their game with FidelityFX to have sharpening to the game but not the HUD, whereas RIS would just sharpen the entire image including the HUD.

The hype train for NVIDIA's next-gen Ampere GPU is really starting to gain traction, with new rumors fueling the release window of Ampere in 2020.

We heard about the purported GeForce RTX 3000 series cards not too long ago now, with NVIDIA reportedly preparing the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, GeForce RTX 3080, and GeForce RTX 3070 graphics cards for 2020. But the big question is when exactly, in 2020?

Raymond James analyst Chris Caso has said that NVIDIA reportedly pushed Ampere back by a few months, with Team Green aiming for a GTC 2020 reveal and Computex 2020 release. Caso adds that Ampere will be introduced at GTC 2020 in a big way as an AI/datacenter/HPC product, and then an Ampere-based GeForce RTX 3000 series family of cards will launch in the months after.

AMD will soon be launching its Navi 14-based Radeon RX 5500 series graphics cards, with more details arriving before its big launch.

The official marketing material for AMD's upcoming Radeon RX 5500 series has surfaced, showing that the company has labeled it as a "Performance" card. AMD's new Radeon RX 5500 competes directly and easily beats NVIDIA's mid-range GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card.

Navi 14 will offer up 22 RDNA compute units for a total of 1408 stream processors, 4GB/8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit memory bus which will provide 224GB/sec memory bandwidth. AMD will clock the Navi 14 GPU at 1670MHz game clock, and up to 1845MHz boost clock.

GIGABYTE hasn't had an AORUS-branded Radeon since the Radeon RX 580 (they skipped the RX 590) so it is high time that we get a custom AORUS-branded Radeon.

The latest in AORUS' custom line up appears to be a custom Radeon RX 5700 XT in a huge triple-fan, triple-slot beast. We are expecting AORUS to release the custom Radeon RX 5700 XT sometime in the next month or so, perfect for the holidays and the latest games out like Red Dead Redemption 2.

In a statement from 'GBT-Brian' who is a GIGABYTE Community Manager, he explained: "You guys asked for it and we are delivering! Going into mass production next week and should be available 2-3 weeks after. I'll post more pics as soon as the product hits our warehouse".

ASRock had a solid first entry into the world of custom Navi graphics cards with its Radeon RX 5700 XT Taichi OC+ which I reviewed here, but now the company has announced its upcoming Radeon RX 5700 Phantom Gaming series family.

The new ASRock Radeon RX 5700 Phantom Gaming series graphics cards will offer up custom versions of both the Radeon RX 5700 XT and Radeon RX 5700, each with overclocked GPUs and 8GB of GDDR6.

Starting with the flagship Radeon RX 5700 XT Phantom Gaming series graphics card we have the Navi 10 GPU at 1690/1835/1945MHz for base/game/boost GPU clocks, respectively. ASRock's second Phantom Gaming series card in the Radeon RX 5700 will have 1610/1725/1750MHz for base, game, and boost GPU clocks respectively.

NVIDIA has released a new Game Ready 441.08 driver for GeForce RTX and GeForce GTX graphics card owners, with the new drivers first and foremost supporting the newly-released GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER.

Both the NVIDIA Control Panel and GeForce Experience have some new features and tools to make great use of.

First off the new GeForce Game Ready 441.08 drivers add the new ReShade Filters, Image Sharpening as well as enable G-SYNC to be turned on with Ultra Low-Latency Rendering. Not only that, but the new Game Ready 441.08 drivers also support HDMI 2.1 VRR -- something that benefits LG OLED C9-E9 TV owners with G-SYNC compatibility.

NVIDIA launched its new GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER graphics card in the first few hours of October 29, and as I awake the first thing I see is a juicy new rumor post about NVIDIA's next-gen Ampere GPU architecture (something I revealed back in April 2018) and details on the purported GeForce RTX 3000 series graphics cards.

The news is coming from the purported fact that NVIDIA has been discussing Ampere and the next-gen GeForce RTX 3000 series cards with AIB partners, and Wccftech has posted up these rumors. We don't know any concrete details on the Ampere GPU itself, which is something NVIDIA will deep dive into once it's announced -- but there are a few very juicy tidbits here that if true, would be great to see.

First off, NVIDIA's new Ampere-based cards should arrive to consumers in the GeForce RTX 3070, GeForce RTX 3080, and GeForce RTX 3080 Ti if NVIDIA follow the same release plans as the GeForce RTX 2070, RTX 2080, and RTX 2080 Ti launch. These cards are going to be faster, offer more VRAM, and hell they're even reportedly going to be cheaper.

Intel's new Xe discrete graphics card is ALIVE, screamed out onto Twitter like Frankenstein -- in news that should surprise people. Intel has tested its first Xe GPU in DG1, something Chris Hook, Intel Sr. Director, Discrete Graphics and Visual Technologies Marketing Chief tweeted:

Better yet, Intel CEO Bob Swan himself told investors on an analyst call that Chipzilla had turned on the first Intel Xe DG1 graphics card in their labs. We are still expecting an unveiling at what should be around Computex 2019 next year, with a launch in the months after.

Intel has also said that they are "on-track" for a 7nm GPU in 2021, which is just 14 months away if you can believe it. I'm hoping we might see some leaks from the Intel Xe DG1 developer kits that are going out right now, but they would be so early that we shouldn't be expecting anything but testing and analysis of what the first discrete GPU in decades from Intel.

TechPowerUp caused quite the stir in the last few hours, with the site reporting from a Reddit "whistleblower" that posted about NVIDIA marketing having control over YouTubers. It ended, as you'd expect... disastrously.

First up, check out this full text of the post that TPU reported on... but then the site used an image from Steven "Tech Jesus" Burke from Gamers Nexus. This image was quickly removed once the drama began. There was absolutely no need to use his image, at all, and so Burke rightfully so -- blasted TPU on Twitter in an exchange you can read here:

The whistleblower said that he/she is scared NVIDIA will "punish" them if they talked about this under their YouTube channel. This means that whoever the anonymous "whistleblower" is, it's a YouTuber who "makes video reviews on computer hardware". From the outset, the post notes that they are "pretty big" but "not LTT big, but still pretty big" and that they work with all of the major hardware companies.

NVIDIA has just unveiled its new EGX Edge Supercomputing Platform during MWC 2019 in LA today, announcing that its new platform has been adopted by industry giants in Samsung, Walmart, and BMW just to name a few.

Walmart is using NVIDIA's new EGX technology in its retail lab in Levittown, NY in order to improve its in-store shopping experience, with the ability to tell staff to go and get shopping charts, or to restock shelves. It can even alert staff during busy periods to open up additional checkouts, or stock shelves when stock runs low all of the sudden.

In this example, NVIDIA was able to boast: "Walmart is able to compute in real-time more than 1.6 terabytes of data generated each second".

NVIDIA is about to unleash its GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER with various leaks and teases along the way from different brands, with MSI the latest in its custom GTX 1660 SUPER graphics cards being leaked.

The first of which we have is the higher-end GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER GAMING X which will roll out with MSI's iconic TWIN FROZR 7 cooler, while the cheaper option will be offered in the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER VENTUS XS OC. Both of these cards feature back plates and dual-fan coolers.

Starting with MSI's higher-end GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER GAMING X we have the TWIN FROZR 7 cooler, RGB lighting, and I'm sure it'll have its Turing GPU clocked higher than the cheaper VENTUS XS OC option.

In today's world of data gathering and collection, there has been one word that strikes fear into tech enthusiasts everywhere, telemetry.

NVIDIA drivers typically have a custom install option where you can disable components you do not want to be installed. However, there are several parts in the back end that you have no opportunity to uninstall, such as the previously mentioned telemetry. Telemetry is part of the driver, which collects usage data and sends it back to the mothership (NVIDIA) so that they can use it for analysis of issues or other purposes.

Before anyone gets up in arms, the telemetry is allowed to be installed as its part of the EULA. Yes, the same EULA that none of us read on any product ever, and even if you did read it, you likely would not understand it. But I digress, telemetry was a necessary evil for NVIDIA drivers with no way to mitigate them... Until now.

It's virtually confirmed at this point, with NVIDIA set to launch its new GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER graphics card in the very near future with all signs pointing to well, really soon.

VideoCardz is back again with their sources saying that review samples are "already on their way" and they now have some confirmed detailed on the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER graphics card. We're looking at the TU116 GPU with 1408 CUDA cores and a base clock of 1530MHz and boost GPU clock of 1785MHz.

The 6GB of GDDR6 is all but confirmed right now, offering a decent upgrade to 14Gbps on a 192-bit memory bus compared to the GTX 1660 Ti and its same 6GB of GDDR6 but with slower 12Gbps memory.

AMD announced its Radeon RX 5500 series recently, but now it appears that XFX is the first with a custom Radeon RX 5500 graphics card in the form of the new THICC II.

XFX's upcoming Radeon RX 5500 THICC II should roll out with a single 8-pin PCIe power connector, drops the awesome-looking grill that the Radeon RX 5700 XT THICC II Ultra sported, and uses a full-black design. It still looks great, with a black shark fin design in place of the car grill-style of the RX 5700 XT THICC II Ultra.

Interestingly, XFX is providing 2 x DVI-D ports (AMD doesn't even include a single DVI port on its RX 5500 series reference design) as well as a single DP and single HDMI connector.

EVGA has just announced its new suped-up GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER ULTRA+ range of graphics cards, with the 8GB of GDDR6 memory overclocked by another 10% in both its FTW3 and XC variants.

This means the new EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER ULTRA+ series graphics cards have their 8GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at a huge 15.5Gbps, the same frequency as the higher-end RTX 2080 SUPER graphics card. This provides 496GB/sec of memory bandwidth across the 256-bit memory bus, enough to give you another 10% (or so) performance in games (where VRAM bandwidth matters).

EVGA is the only one offering per-overclocked GDDR6 on its custom GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER graphics cards so far, with the new GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER FTW3 ULTRA+ going for $599.99 on its website, while the RTX 2070 SUPER XC ULTRA+ costs $569.99 on EVGA's website.

NVIDIA's cloud streaming service GeForce NOW Has jsut launched on Android devices, with the APK now available to download and play around with yourself.

You won't find GeForce NOW through the traditional methods of simply downloading it from the Google Play Store, but you can download the APK (which weighs in at under 30MB) from APKMirror. You will need an Android device with at least 2GB of RAM and Android 5.0 or later, with NVIDIA recommending a 5GHz Wi-Fi connection with at least 15Mbps of internet bandwidth, and a Bluetooth gamepad to get the optimal experience out of GeForce Now.

You'll have to have access into NVIDIA's GeForce NOW beta, which should be replaced by a subscription-based plan in the coming weeks and months as GeForce NOW goes official.

ZOTAC's new GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER is smiling for the camera, with the world's first pictures of the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER being a big scoop for VideoCardz.

The site has all of the images you need to see, of both ZOTAC's new GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER graphics cards in both non-AMP and AMP editions. We have now been able to confirm that the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER definitely has GDDR6 memory, but we don't know what the non-SUPER variant will use just yet.

Both of ZOTAC's new GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER graphics cards use dual-fan coolers and have 3 x DP and 1 x HDMI output for display connectivity. The GTX 1660 SUPER AMP is definitely a slightly larger card, but by slightly -- I truly do mean, slightly.

Now that AMD has had a super-successful launch of its Navi GPU architecture inside of the Radeon RX 5700 series and soon-to-be-released Radeon RX 5500 series, all eyes are on the next-gen Arcturus GPU.

AMD's next-gen Arcturus GPU should find a new home inside of the next wave of Radeon Instinct accelerators, in which AMD is using Vega GPUs right now, adn even in the first half of 2020. But AMD needs to spice up the HPC market with a new GPU and now we're hearing proper whispers of the Arcturus GPU.

The news is coming from HWiNFO in its new beta build v6.13-3945) that "added preliminary support for AMD Arcturus". Komachi also posted on Twitter in what looks to be a new Arcturus-powered AMD Radeon Instinct M100 accelerator, replacing the current flagship Vega 20-powered Radeon Instinct M60 accelerator.
