MSI has officially teased its upcoming Radeon RX 5700 XT EVOKE OC graphics card, with an official image that they've shared with us to release now. It's not much...

... but it's all we were given. MSI's new Radeon RX 5700 XT EVOKE OC graphics card rocks a slick gold/black style by the looks of things, but this is just a tease. The company has shipped us a sample for review, so once the NDA is up on the custom Radeon RX 5700 card reviews you can be your bottom dollar (or should that be gold) that we'll have a review ready for you.

MSI's new Radeon RX 5700 XT EVOKE OC graphics card should have overclocked GPU frequencies and the same 8GB of GDDR6, all on a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot and should have 8+6-pin PCIe power connectors. We'll know more in the coming days.

The latest version of GPU-Z has improved support for AMD's new Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards, with TechPowerUp detailing the new GPU-Z v2.23.0 in a new post.

TPU also added in support for additional variants of NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 2060 and RTX 2070 SUPER, while a bunch of other graphics cards on both Team Green and Team Red received added support in GPU-Z v2.23.0.

The new version has an updated icon and splash screen with high-DIP support, so high-res monitor owners and reviewers/benchmarkers willl enjoy that. GPU-Z is a staple of my life, so the new changes are welcomed. You can grab TechPowerUp GPU-Z v2.23.0 here.

Update: Lisa herself has responded to the rumor, slamming it -- and that she loves AMD and the "best is yet to come".

Prepare the salt because this rumor is a juicy one, but AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su is reportedly looking at leaving the company and joining IBM. Shock horror, right? The latest rumor from Wccftech is a big one, and something I've heard whispers (but didn't want to believe them) of, too.

According to sources of Usman Pirzada from Wccftech: "Lisa Su is eyeing the #2 position at IBM with the eventual goal to end up as CEO and President of IBM, replacing Ginni Rometty. The advanced groundwork for this transition has apparently already been laid down as you will read further in this article. While I do not know the exact reasons for why Lisa would choose IBM of all companies to move to, I am told that this is something that she has wanted for a very long time".

XFX is swinging back into the market with its new custom Radeon RX 5700 series, with two new designs of cards coming out in the new RAW2 and THICC2.

Older gamers will remember the old school days of XFX with its custom Double Dissipation cards, which was a great design and popular at the time. XFX is bringing it back with the new Radeon RX 5700 XT THICC2 graphics card, with a 2.5-slot design and a wickedly-styled 1950s style grille on the end of the card.

XFX is using dual 10cm fans on the THICC2, a full metal backplate and is wider and longer than the PCB itself... so the XFX RX 5700 XT THICC2 is truly well endowed.

NVIDIA has some new downloads that will light up the RTX abilities on your compatible graphics card, with developers working on tech demos for the DXR Indie Spotlight contest which just saw three winners.

The developers tech demos using Microsoft's DXR (DirectX Ray Tracing) API as well as Unreal Engine 4.22 which packs ray tracing effects including reflections, shadows and ambient occlusion. NVIDIA has announced three winners in the contest, with dozens of developers making tech demos -- the three winners scored themselves the highest-end TITAN RTX graphics card that NVIDIA sells for $2499.

The first tech demo we have is the Attack from Outer Space by Cristian Hecht, who is a 3D artist for Tendril out of Toronto. Attack from Outer Space is a 1950s style sci-fi film era tech demo that has beautiful ray-traced reflections, shadows, and ambient occlusion. Check it out:

It looks like we're witnessing the start of a new style of graphics cards from Chinese manufacturer Yeston, with some pretty-in-pink custom Radeon RX 5700 series cards.

These cards will have their specific niche market to drive into, but the new Yeston Radeon RX 5700 XT Game Master is one of the cutest graphics cards ever, while underneath it is based on the reference design from AMD. We have higher boost GPU clocks of up to 1905MHz, but the same everything else down the line.

What Yeston is doing here is branching out from the vast range of custom graphics cards on the market, and appealing directly to female gamers and livestreamers. The female livestream audience and also gamers, is absolutely huge across Asia -- far larger than the US and other countries.

Intel will be launching its new Xe graphics cards in 2020 and we should expect the first one out of the gate to impress, but it won't dethrone NVIDIA or AMD overnight. The latest hype over the weekend was a crazy $200 price that was simply a mistranslation.

Yeah, there is no $200 graphics card coming that will beat the $1000+ GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. Sorry guys. In a recent interview with now ex-RTG boss Raja Koduri, where he said: "Not everybody will buy a $500-$600 card, but there are enough people buying those too - so that's a great market". The original story saw a mistranslation from Koduri by a Russian YouTube channel, which saw Koduri purportedly say Intel is aiming at the $200 mainstream market with its first Xe GPU. Yeah, no.

He continued: "So the strategy we're taking is we're not really worried about the performance range, the cost range and all because eventually our architecture as I've publicly said, has to hit from mainstream, which starts even around $100, all the way to Data Center-class graphics with HBM memories and all, which will be expensive".

We're getting our first look at the new designs of the ROG STRIX and TUF cards coming in the custom Radeon RX 5700 series from ASUS, with Hardware.info behind the new leaks.

ASUS is expected to launch its new ROG STRIX RX 5700 on August 16, with samples already hitting the media.

We can expect the ASUS ROG STRIX RX 5700 (and RX 5700 XT) to rock dual 8-pin PCIe power connectors and a thick 2.5-slot design.

EVGA has just launched its new Precision X1 overclocking software, with v0.4.8.0 including something of interest: Boost Lock. Grab EVGA Precision X1 0.4.8.0 here.

Boost Lock is something you can toggle in Precision X1 that locks the maximum GPU boost state at all times, meaning you get maximum performance, all the time. Boost Lock would override the normal dips in GPU clocks when your GPU load is reduced, keeping clocks at their set-high amount.

This new feature seems perfect for enthusiasts, overclockers, and reviewers ras you can lock a specific GPU clock that, something further than the reaches of what the GPU would normally boost up to. I think it is a great addition to Precision X1 by EVGA, hell one of the best new features in a while.

One of the hottest rumors in the GPU world has just dropped, with TechPowerUp writing up an article that explores the lid on Pandora's Box for the Turing GPU architecture... flashing NVIDIA graphics cards might have just become a possibility.

In its efforts adding support into GPU-Z for NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX SUPER graphics cards, W1zzard from TPU said he "noticed something curious". He continued:

The full article goes into much more detail, but the gist of it is: the possibilities of flashing an RTX 2070 into an RTX 2060 SUPER, and an RTX 2080 into an RTX 2070 SUPER -- but, why? Well NVIDIA, its AIB partners, distributors, warehouses, stores and e-tailers would have a crap load of RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 cards that might not have sold, so flashing them down to RTX 2060 SUPER and RTX 2070 SUPER could make sense to not cannibalize the market.

AMD has just unleashed a plethora of products on the new 7nm node including its new Zen 2 architecture (Steve's reviews on Ryzen 3000 CPUs) and the Ryzen 3000 series of CPUs, launching alongside the new Navi-based Radeon RX 5700 XT and RX 5700 graphics cards (my review on those here).

In a recent Q&A session AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su was asked about the existence of high-end 7nm Navi GPUs and mobile 7nm CPUs, to which she replied: "I would say they are coming. You should expect that our execution on those are on track and we have a rich 7-nanometer portfolio beyond the products that we have currently announced in the upcoming quarters".

This means we can expect a competitor to NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER (my review here) and the higher-end RTX 2080 Ti in the near future, which should arrive as the Navi 20 (although I'm seeing Navi 12 online). I've heard from some industry sources that 'Navi 20' is a 'beast' and really where 4K and high FPS gamers are wanting, a competitor to the RTX 2080 Ti.

The future of gaming is definitely ray tracing whether you like it or not, as it's the next evolution in graphics, lighting, and so much more for games.

NVIDIA has just dialed the ray tracing hype meter to 11 with NVIDIA staffer Morgan McGuire saying the first AAA title that will require a GPU supporting ray tracing will ship in 2023. McGuire said: "I predict that the first AAA game to REQUIRE a ray tracing GPU to run will ship in 2023, and every gaming platform will offer accelerated ray tracing by that year".

So we're expecting every single gaming platform to have accelerated ray tracing by 2023, meaning Nintendo will jump into the ring with ray tracing in the near future. NVIDIA above all would know, as they're the supplier of the Tegra chip inside of the Nintendo Switch family of devices.

We're currently being pushed into the arms of 8K gaming in the future with a tease of next-gen consoles being 8K-capable (video output, I don't think we'll see it in gaming) but Quantic Dream founder and CEO David Cage thinks otherwise.

In a recent interview with GameSpot and Cage at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, the subject of ray tracing came up and he said that it will be a huge deal thanks to the improvements ray tracing will do to lighting. Cage said that lighting (courtesy of ray tracing) is more of a focus for Quantic Dream than polygons or textures.

The two new graphics cards in question are the AORUS GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER WATERFORCE 8G and GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER WATERFORCE WB 8G, with both featuring cherry-picked TU104 GPUs that are ready for overclocking thanks to the GPUs being certified by GIGABYTE GPU Gauntlet sorting technology.

Inside, the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER WATERFORCE has not just its TU104 GPU kept cool but the VRAM and MOSFETs are also cooled to ensure stable overclocks and longer lifespans of the cards.

NVIDIA released its new GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER earlier this week with reviews flying out in written and video forms (my review here), after the flurry of initial testing I decided to take at look at the SLI side of things with the RTX 2080 SUPER.

The new GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER has higher-clocked GDDR6 memory on-board, with its 8GB of GDDR6 clocked at 15.5Gbps up from the 14Gbps on the regular RTX 2080. I thought this would be an interesting addition to the SLI/NVLink testing I did on the RTX 2070 SUPER which has its 8GB of GDDR6 stock at 14Gbps.

The results were interesting, as we see in certain games that when SLI provides great scaling (4K and above is where you're going to get it) is monster performance at 4K. I've been doing 8K testing on the side and the results are even crazier, as you're rendering 400% more pixels than 4K -- and 4K is already hard enough.

NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER is now here (my review here) and with it comes with a new GeForce 431.60 driver release which supports the new RTX 2080 SUPER and includes optimizations for the latest games and some upcoming games.

Included in the optimizations with the GeForce 431.60 drivers is Wolfenstein: Youngblood, as well as Madden NFL 20, the first DLC for Metro Exodus and Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot. It also supports 3 new G-SYNC compatible monitors, which are the HP 24x, AOC AG272FCX6, and AOC AG272FG3R.

NVIDIA is about to unleash its GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER graphics card, the kicker to the RTX 2080 which will deliver more performance -- but to grab those headlines, leaks today suggest the new card will beat the TITAN V.

In some leaked benchmarks the new RTX 2080 SUPER offers performance that is above the TITAN Xp and just under teh TITAN V, which launched for $3000. The tests are in the Final Fantasy XV database, benchmarking the game at 1440p with High Quality settings. The RTX 2080 Ti is still a beast, and man that TITAN RTX just leaps ahead.

The new RTX 2080 SUPER launches with its 8GB of GDDR6 overclocked to 15.5Gbps, up from the 14Gbps on the original RTX 2080. NVIDIA has already launched its RTX 2060 SUPER (my review here) and the RTX 2070 SUPER (my review here). The most exciting of the three definitely has to be the RTX 2060 SUPER with its increased VRAM (8GB from 6GB and faster bandwidth @ 14Gbps) but the 15.5Gbps on the new RTX 2080 SUPER will make for some super testing.

As the world gears up to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing on the Moon all the way back in 1969, NVIDIA has updated its Apollo 11 ray tracing demo showcase.

The new update enhances the work NVIDIA did with the original Apollo 11 moon landing demo with improved RTX real-time ray tracing technology. The work that NVIDIA has put into this is quite incredible, with the video above showing off the best that RTX has to offer.

It's a pretty crazy achievement to have these types of graphics with realistic lighting thanks to ray tracing, imagine going back in time to 1969 and showing these graphics running on a PC to someone back in 1969? Their mind would be blown completely wide open.

MSI is gearing up for the release of its custom Navi graphics cards with its upcoming Radeon RX 5700 XT MECH and Radeon RX 5700 MECH graphics cards.

The company has confirmed they will be launching in August, with the MECH series just one of 8 custom models that MSI is reportedly preparing for release. This list includes the kick ass GAMING series, as well as the MECH, AIR, Boost, and a new EVOKE series card. A total of 8 different graphics cards will be released, 4 of them RX 5700 XT and 4 of them RX 5700 XT.

MSI's custom Radeon RX 5700 GAMING won't be available until September according to VideoCardz, which notes that the rest of the custom Navi cards from MSI will launch in late August.

ASRock has just unveiled its first custom Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards, with the new factory overclocked Challenger series that comes in both flagship Radeon RX 5700 XT and Radeon RX 5700.

The new Radeon RX 5700 Challenger series takes ASRock's graphics cards business 'into full swing' with factory overclocked Radeon RX 5700 XT Challenger seeing a 1650/1905/1795MHz base, boost, and game clocks on the GPU respectively. This is up 45MHz on the base and 40MHz on the game clocks, but there's more to it than just pure GPU clocks.

ASRock's big win here will be with the cooling, since we see the RX 5700 Challenger models including a dual-fan cooler which should be much better than the blower-style cooling on the Radeon RX 5700 XT and RX 5700 reference models.
