Nintendo Switch data-miners have delved into Super Mario Odyssey files and discovered a bunch of new unreleased costumes. These costumes are planned to be released at later dates.

According to the data-miners, these files have already been downloaded by players and have been implemented into the game but have been blocked by Nintendo servers.

We can assume that based on some of the costumes titles and descriptions that costumes such as the Santa outfit will be released at their respective times. What also could be speculated is that some of the costumes that don't have a respective event will be added in with a new mini-game or even a new kingdom, this is not confirmed as of yet but just a guess towards how Nintendo will release some of these very cool costume ideas.

Blizzard have taken to Twitter to tease their entire audience on Diablo 3 coming to the Nintendo Switch. A gif was released showing a Diablo themed night light being turned on and off.

The post from Blizzard certainly is confusing and does come across as slightly random, but when looked at as a marketing post for a future game release the picture comes together much more nicely. The post captioned "Sweet Dream" features a gif of someone switching on and off their Diablo themed night light, this could suggest that Diablo is coming to the Nintendo Switch.

On the other hand, this post could also be interpreted the opposite way, as the caption says "Sweet Dreams" this could also suggest that the Diablo themed night light is just a random post by Blizzard. This side of the debate is backed up by a post made by South Park that said "Nin-ten-do. I'm coming. I'm coming, Nin-ten-do #blizzard2017." Everyone thought that this meant a South Park game was coming to the Switch, unfortunately it was just a 'joke' post that never had any further meaning.

Following up on the speculation that the next Overwatch hero is a cat or Torbjorns daughter can now be done, as we now have confirmation from Blizzard that Brigitte Lindholm is on the way.

On the Overwatch YouTube channel, Blizzard have released two videos, one video is a origin story of Brigitte and the other is a Developer update which is narrated by Jeff Kaplan.

From both of the videos we can understand that Brigitte will be falling into the defensive/support role, much like Reinhadt. Brigitte and Reinhardt are tied in two as from the origin story we discover that "Eventually, she realized that serving only as a mechanic wasn't enough, and that the best way she could aid Reinhardt was to become a warrior in her own right. While Reinhardt trained her in combat, Brigitte began to build her own suit of armor in secret."

It appears that the Pokemon website is hiring localisation editors to translate what is to be believed a Pokemon game for the Nintendo Switch.

The contracts are a minimum 6 months, which could suggest that a Pokemon game for the Nintendo Switch would be looking at a release time of either late this year or early 2019.

It is believed that the localisation to specific regions is only done later in development, this is not confirmed but if it is true that would give us a better idea for when the game is planned for release. If that is true, that could mean that we might see a new Pokemon game for the Switch this year at E3.

Microsoft has provided some more details on its Xbox spring update, something that is available to Xbox Insiders who are part of the "alpha ring" group.

When the new Xbox spring update arrives, it will enable 1440p output from both the Xbox One S and X, with 2560x1440 monitor owners able to enjoy 1440p from their Xbox consoles. Not only that, but the new update will enable new interactive features for Mixer, which is Microsoft's Twitch-like competitor.

Xbox gamers streaming on Mixer have the ability of sharing their controller with a streamer who is watching them through Mixer.com, where the streamer can join in on the person playing. Mixer broadcasts will pause instead of stop when the streamer switches games.

Crytek is going through some changes with Cevat Yerli stepping down from his position as CEO and president, where his two brothers Avni and Faruk Yerli taking over Crytek as joint CEOs.

Cevat said: "With the company in a strong position, now is the ideal time to recognize the existing leadership's excellent achievements over these past two years and formally transition executive leadership to Avni and Faruk". The associated press release also stated that Crytek received an investment of capital in 2017 that "fortified" the company, providing solid foundation to forge ahead into the future.

Crytek added that Cevat will stay with the company as an advisor in the role of "strategic shareholder". Cevat added: "I have been honored to serve as CEO of the company I founded with my brothers almost 20 years ago and have seen the team accomplish breakthrough things in that time. I look forward to continue helping Crytek as a major shareholder, and I am very excited to see what tomorrow brings. I have every confidence that the company will continue to shine under the guidance of Avni, Faruk, and the rest of the leadership team".

Sony revokes access to Yakuza 6's now-famous slip-up.

Thanks to a pretty serious error on SEGA's part a ton of people who downloaded the free Yakuza 6 demo actually got the whole game for free. Luckily Sony has stepped in to set things right and ensure SEGA gets paid the cash it deserves for the full game. Essentially what happened is the demo was indeed the entire Yakuza 6, which is typical for today's games, but instead of cutting off after a certain period gamers saw they could just keep playing. And playing. And playing.

However Sony isn't punishing anyone for taking advantage of this glitch--how could they, really, when all they did was download the game--but all licenses have been yanked and SEGA says it plans to re-upload the demo to the PlayStation Network soon. The Yakuza series of games is pretty important to SEGA so it definitely behooves the games-maker to get things up and running smoothly as fast as possible, especially if they want to win over new players and secure pre-orders.

There have been more and more rumors starting up about the new entry into the Battlefield series, and while I thought Battlefield 1 was one of the weakest entries yet, EA and DICE seem confident in throwing Battlefield gamers back into the original World Wars.

The latest rumor is from VentureBeat, who is reporting that Battlefield V will be based during World War II, the first time for Battlefield since the 2009 release of Battlefield 1943. Internally, the team was calling it Battlefield 2, but the name has shifted to Battlefield V. For your reference, I've included the recent Battlefield titles below, because things are going to get confusing, really fast.

Ubisoft, like other games publishers, understands quite well how engagement works: release an online game, update update update, build engagement with new events and items, and then cash out by monetizing your investment. The French games-maker has successfully done this with a lot of their games, and The Division is no different, helping the company rake in billions a year from Player Recurring Investment. In the last two years, The Division has pulled in 20 million active players and gone through many, many changes...and Ubisoft is banking on more engagement.

In celebration of its second birthday and the 20 million player milestone, a new timeline of events is scheduled for the entire month of March. The new global events will roll out each week, Ubisoft clarifies. The goal here is to attract lapsed players as well as push new gamers into the fold, as all free events and updates are designed to do.

Detroit: Become Human will release on May 25, 2018 exclusively on Sony's PlayStation 4 console, Sony today announced on the PlayStation Blog. According to David Cage, this new entry is the studio's most ambitious project to date, and will feature winding paths to lots of different outcomes--in other words your choices really matter.

"Detroit is by far the most ambitious title ever created by Quantic Dream; with this game, we wanted to push our limits by creating the most bending game we have ever made," Cage said.

Payday 2 for the Nintendo Switch released only a few days ago and now after some heists it has been been revealed that the Payday 2 port for the Nintendo Switch is struggling to maintain even 30FPS as well as having numerous problems.

According to an analyst firm called Digital Foundry, the Nintendo Switch version of Payday 2 is struggling to even maintain a solid 30FPS and also harbors many other problems. When docked the Switch appears to produce some stuttering for textures, as well as the game doesn't utilize dynamic resolution so the pixel count can't be dropped in intense scenarios to maintain a solid FPS.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition for the Nintendo Switch has had a new trailer released by Koei Tecmo, showcasing more characters.

Not to long ago we saw the first trailer for the re-master coming to the Nintendo Switch, now we have a new trailer that details different characters that will be playable such as Toon Link, Tetra, Medli, and King Daphnes.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition for the Nintendo Switch will release in Japan on March 22nd, the west will most likely see it closer to the end of the year heading into spring.

The modern turned-based tactical combat called Battletech releases in April, celebrating the launch Paradox Interactive and Harebrained Schemes have released a pre-order video.

Jordan Weisman creator of BATTLETECH, Mitch Gitelman the Studio Manager and Mike McCain the Game Director are all featured in the video and explain BATTLETECH's combat system and challenges that players will encounter.

Here is was Weisman said about his upcoming title: "BATTLETECH has been a passion project for our team and for the fans who helped to make it a reality. We have done our very best to deliver a tactical 'Mech experience that will delight long-time fans and excite new players who have yet to enter the MechWarrior universe. Sony today announced the end of an era for PS3 and PS Vita owners, possibly signalling Sony's shift towards a new generation.

After March 2019, Sony will no longer give out free PS3 and PS Vita games as part of its PlayStation Plus subscription. Instead the games-maker will limit its monthly free games allotment to two PS4 titles only. PS3 and Vita games you've claimed and downloaded will be valid as long as your sub is active and your games won't suddenly disappear...you just won't be getting any new ones after that period.

"We also have an important service update. Starting next year on March 8, 2019, the PS Plus monthly games lineup will focus on PS4 titles and no longer include PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita titles," the company wrote on the PlayStation Blog.

Back when Nintendo released their Mini Direct, we saw that Mario Tennis Aces was going to be released this year for the Nintendo Switch, now we have Amazon Spain listing the game for a release on June 22.

From this listing we can only speculate two things, that either this is just a placeholder date or if the game is actually scheduled for release on that date and Amazon Spain has made a mistake.

Speculating that this is actually the official date of release seems slightly far-fetched to me for a number of reasons. Firstly, this would mean Nintendo will be releasing this big title one week after E3, I find it hard to believe that Mario Tennis Aces would survive the flood of news that is going to come fourth from that event.t I HIGHLY doubt Nintendo will choose this date.

One of the most classic PC strategy games, Battlezone: Combat Commander has received a new gameplay video that showcases the different aspects of the remastered title ahead of its March launch.

The that was released on the Rebellion YouTube Channel details that players will be taking control of a sci-fi battlefield with the very same principles as any RTS, collecting resources, commanding units, building bases and of course battles. Unlike most RTS games that have a top down field of view, Battlezone: Combat Commander forces the player to experience what it feels like to be on the front line, as the field of view is all from the first person perspective.

Battlezone: Combat Commander will be launching on March 2nd with multi-player support for up to 14 players in 8 different game modes. There is also the option for players to enjoy co-op while on LAN as well as it should it should be noted that cross-play between Steam and GOG is also fully supported.

Blizzard have been teasing the release of the next Overwatch hero to be added to the already 26 playable characters, a recent Tweet suggests that it could either be Torbjorn daughter or a cat.

The image that was released on the Overwatch Twitter page shows a sketch of what appears to be lion design, very much similar to that of Reinhardts shield. The theory that the next hero could be Torbjorn's daughter named Brigitte is linked to some earlier teasers which also include Reinhardt, the hints are a letter written from Torbjorn to Reinhardt referencing Brigitte's name and also a weapon titled "Slaga."

The image that was released today also shows what appears to be ginger cat prowling around on the top of weapon designs. We know that Torbjorn does have a cat and it also has been said by game director, Jeff Kaplan that a 'Jetpack Cat' has been considered before "It was this jetpack and it had this cat that laid in it, like a cat does. Then every once in a while it would paw at the controls. It was a cat in a jetpack."

Is Blizzard actually working on a remastered version of Diablo II for today's upgraded hardware? Maybe, but according to original Blizzard North veteran and Diablo grandfather David Brevik, putting the game on modern PCs would be extremely tough to do.

We have evidence that Blizzard might be remastering Diablo II for a re-release on the PC, similar to what it's done with the RTS classic StarCraft. But there's just one problem: Diablo II was built specifically to manipulate 800x600 resolution in a number of interesting and innovative ways, and changing that resolution could fundamentally change the entire core game experience. So in short, if Blizzard does remaster Diablo II, it might not be the same ARPG we know and love.

"I can say from a technical standpoint that it's going to be extremely difficult. That you will not be able to capture it exactly the way it was," original Diablo creator David Brevik said in a recent IGN interview. "The number one reason is because of the shape of the screen. Because the screens back then were 800x600 and largely square, and now they're not, they're 16:9 and 16:10, we did a lot of tricks."

Red Barrels and Nintendo today launched the Outlast Bundle of Terror on the Nintendo Switch eShop, which packs in the first ultra-violent original game alongside its Whistleblower DLC for $25. Having played both Outlast games I'm honestly surprised that Nintendo would okay the game's release on the platform, what with all the blood and dongs and excessive gore--and let's not forget the horrifying jump scares and psychological terror.

I'm super curious to see how the Switch's built-in motion controls will be utilized in the game. Since you carry a camera for most of the game, Red Barrels has a unique opportunity to use the handheld's gyroscopic sensor to add a nice flavor of interactivity to the experience while in handheld mode, or even when docked and using the JoyCons.
