Horizon Zero Dawn has sold over 7.6 million copies breaking the sale records for a new first-party franchise launch on PS4.

Horizon Zero Dawn launched as an exclusive PlayStation 4 title just over a year ago now, more accurately since its release on February 28th 2017 it has sold an astounding 7.6 million copies.

According to Sony, the sale records that Horizon Zero Dawn has broken through and caused the title to be deemed the "most successful new first-party franchise launch on PS4" ever.

Guerrilla Games Managing Director and Co-founder also commented on the sales of his companys title, "we had huge ambition for Horizon Zero Dawn and as we approached the launch we knew people were excited, but to see sales of this volume is truly mind blowing"
