Activision and Bungie have teamed up together to bring gamers Destiny 2 completely free. The MMOFPS will be available via the Battle.net client over the weekend.

The news originates from a Twitter post from the official Destiny Twitter account. It says that players will have the full luxury of experiencing every mode, the entire campaign and all gear and weapons. Essentially the whole game is free-to-play, nothing has been held back and is only available from July 6th to July 8th.

If you don't already have a Blizzard account and desire to give Destiny 2 the full rundown while you can for free. I have provided a link to the Blizzard website where you will be able to download Battle.net and get straight into the action. If you already have a Blizzard account and have Battle.net downloaded you can start the download now by just clicking install over the Destiny 2 icon within the client.

A new teaser trailer has been released by Bossa Studios for their title Surgeon Simulator. The teaser comes in the form of "Bone-Shattering news" as a player flicks the 'switch.'

The video starts off with the classical Surgeon Simulator hand navigating it's way poorly over a shelf, knocking over several different objects before stopping at a light switch. The hand then proceeds to try and press the light switch, before failing a few times the hand eventually succeeds ending the video with "coming soon."

The fact that there is a light switch followed by a 'coming soon' heavily suggests that Surgeon Simulator could be on it's way to the Nintendo Switch. Currently there is no known release date for a Nintendo Switch version, but for those that cannot wait the title is already available on PC, PS4, iOS and Android devices. Comic book fans will be taking a moment of silence today, as Steve Ditko one of the most influential Marvel writers has been found dead in his apartment, he was 90.

New York police have confirmed this news to The Hollywood Reporter, who have said that Ditko left no family behind and was actually dead for two whole days before being found.

For those that aren't familiar with who Ditko is, they would of certainly heard about his work. Ditko co-created Spider-Man with Stan Lee back in 1961, two years later in 1963 he created Dr. Strange. Both of which have now grown into some of the best superhero films to date. Ditko eventually left Marvel under a unknown reason, here is what he had to say about the matter "I know why I left Marvel, but no one else in this universe knew or knows why. It may be of a mild interest to realize that Stan Lee chose not to know, or hear why, I left."

Deep Silver and Codemasters, the developer and publisher of the newly released ONRUSH have debuted a brand new update to their arcade racer. Game update 2.0 is now live!

The patch was announced on the ONRUSH Twitter and features numerous new additions that are now added to the game. Players will be able to enjoy a new training mode that will grant each individual the opportunity to learn 8 different vehicle classes. New gear has also been added with 12 new character outfits to unlock and enjoy.

A new takedown type has debuted, introducing the 'revenge takedown', players will now be rewarded for taking out a rival players in hopefully the most destructive way possible. The patch comes with a variety of bug fixes, as well as a new UI in the settings that gives players the option of changing the brightness and tags. After the release of Bethesda's Skyrim on the Nintendo Switch, gamers have formed a community around the now handheld title and are crying out for more community support. This of course comes in the form of mods, will Skyrim on the Nintendo Switch see mod support?

Bethesda's Executive Producer and Director, Todd Howard sat down with Gameslab to discuss this topic. Throughout the discussion, the Nintendo Switch version of Skyrim was brought up and Howard said that the community "asked for mods, they asked for Creation Club - 'When are we getting more stuff?" In response to that Howard recognized the fact that there is large community around the Nintendo Switch version of Skyrim and that him and his team "haven't supported the way we'd like."

Howard was asked how he was going to progress forward with community support and he answered with "Right now we're doing nothing" and changed the subject by saying that his teams are already occupied on other projects. "People, they're on other things. Our Switch group did Fallout Shelter ... and that's done really well. I'm surprised at how well it's done."

For the first time in NBA 2K games history, the cover art will be different for Australians as Ben Simmons - the Australian bred sportsman takes the stage as the featured athelte.

Simmons originates from Melbourne, Australia and began his noticeable career as an Australian rules football player who then went onto college basketball at LSU, before joining the NBA draft and receiving the number 1 overall pick. Simmons continued his career with more than 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists, resulting in him receiving the award 2017-2018 NBA Rookie of the Year award. On the cover we can see quotes close to Simmons' life, "Loyalty," "Family," "Melbourne," "Unstoppable," and "Triple Double."

Being born in Melbourne, Simmons has earned the featured cover art for NBA 2K19 but will only be enjoyed by Australians and New Zealand owners. The game will be coming with a double-sided inlay featuring Giannis Antetokounmpo, so swapping it around shouldn't provide much of an issue if you so choose. During a huge week of speedrunning mayhem at the Summer Games Done Quick 2018 event, there were some amazing things completed in terms of running through games like a robot, and money raised for a great cause.

But this summer, Games Done Quick (the YouTube channel) and hosts of the event raised $2.1 million for Doctors Without Borders. Every single speedrun was recored, and then uploaded to the Games Done Quick YT channel, and there are a bunch to watch, including DOOM and Super Mario Odyssey.

Microsoft has announced not one, but two new Xbox One bundles. The first is the beefier Xbox One X console that is bundled with PUBG, while the other is a Minecraft bundle that includes the Xbox One S console. The new bundles are for US customers only, and are exclusive to the Microsoft Store and Walmart.

The new Xbox One X PUBG bundle will cost $499 and includes the 1TB Xbox One X console, wireless controller, 1-month Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold trial, and a full-game digital download of PUBG. Microsoft has also announced that PUBG on Xbox One has passed over 8 million players, a big change since March where PUBG had 5 million players on Xbox.

Microsoft's other Xbox One S Minecraft bundle costs $299 and includes the 1TB Xbox One S console, the full-game download of Minecraft and S1 of Minecraft: Story Mode - The Complete Adventure, a 1-month Xbox Game Pass and 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial.

If there was a sequel that I wish was announced out of the blue it would be Left 4 Dead 3, but we all know that's not happening. The rumors began a few days ago with some gaming sites hyping Left 4 Dead, as its developer Turtle Rock Studios is looking for developers for its unannounced AAA game from a "globally-known franchise".

Of course the hype train dives right into Left 4 Dead 3, but Valve own the rights to that - and Turtle Rock Studios has been working on Oculus Go games for months as Valve News Network explains in the above video. The developer has a bunch of job openings right now with 17 positions up for grabs for animators, character concepts, environment artists, and a senior level designer.

Turtle Rock Studios is looking for someone that works with "modern FPS engines" and need to "demonstrate experience working on competitive FPS" games. What could it be? Who knows... as the studio is working on plenty of Oculus Go games, so it would make sense for something in VR. But would it be something like Left 4 Dead VR? Nope. But what other "globally known franchise" is Turtle Rock Studios tooting its horn over?

Seriously, guys? Fortnite players on the PC have fallen for malware in what they thought were cheats for the game that would've given them not just an aimbot, but free V-Bucks.

The new malware was discovered by Rainway, which saw malicious Windows adware hiding in the cheat which once installed, changes Windows to server its own rogue ads, which is otherwise known as a man-in-the-middle attack. This sees the Fortnite cheat software loading its own root certificate, and then routing all internet traffic through a proxy.

The malware was downloaded 78,000 times with Rainway receiving 381,000 reports meaning that a large sum of gamers fell for this attack. It's definitely not the first, and it definitely won't be the last considering Epic Games is raking in piles of real money from Fortnite each month, with the game making an incredible $318 million in the month of May alone.

Sometimes in games you just want to cause destruction, other times you want to work out some brainteasing puzzles. Luckily, Burnstar combines both of those things as it explodes on the Nintendo Switch with a searing hot trailer.

Burnstar is based around destroying the infrastructure for 'Evil Inc', a sinister cooperation that players have the option to stop in either single-player or co-op. Burnstar will put your quick reflexes and strategic thinking to the test, as to complete each level players will be required to collect stars in the most efficient way possible.

Nerve Software, the developer of Burnstar has created over eighty different puzzles, each with their own timed leader-boards. Gamers will be forced into paying close attention to the numerous different obstacles that have been placed down to hinder progression, strategies will have to be devised to efficiently tackle each individual level. Hollow Knight the hand-drawn Metroidvania title developed by Team Cherry has been quite the successful in the indie genre. Team Cherry are currently celebrating the launch of Hollow Knight on the Nintendo Switch but now have something else to cheer about, Hollow Knight has reached 1 million copies sold on PC.

Nintendo America's President Reggie Fils-Aime, discussed Hollow Knight coming to the Nintendo Switch and said that the game is selling quite well on that platform, confirming 250,000 copies sold. The PC news comes from Kotaku who interviewed Team Cherry via email, here is what Team Cherry's Ari Gibson had to say "Hollow Knight's success has in large part been driven by it's many fans on PC, with the game having now sold over 1 million copies for Windows, Mac & Linux (crossing that mark just 1 day before the Nintendo Switch launch)."

Gibson also mentions the fact that throughout the launching of Hollow Knight on the Nintendo Switch the company missed celebrating the achievement of reaching 1 million copies sold on PC "kinda flew under our radar because of the madness around E3/Switch launch." The company never actually "publicly mentioned hitting the million mark on PC" but still do recognize that is "another big milestone!" In total, Hollow Knight has hit the 1.25 million copies sold mark, and with more DLC content around the corner who knows how far this indie can go.

Ubisoft are about to roll out a new patch for Far Cry 5, ahead of the launch the developer has released the patch notes showcasing what is in store for gamers.

The patch which is called 'Title Update 8' will be adding a brand new photo mode that "is available via the Main Menu in Solo gameplay modes." Also included within this update is some stability and performance improvements, they are coming in the form of bug fixes that caused the game to crash for some players.

Valve has given gamers a few different ways to filter through games on the Steam Store, these filters come in the forms of 'top sellers', 'top VR games', 'top new releases' and 'most simultaneous players.'

Each of the sections that has been released on the Steam Store aren't in any particular order as refreshing the page changes the order. Firstly, we have the 'top sellers' category which features the following games: Civilization VI, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, Rainbow Six Siege, Warframe, Jurassic World, Counter Strike: Global Offense, DOTA 2, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Far Cry 5, GTA V, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds and Rocket League.

Undead Labs and Microsoft have released a new patch for State of Decay 2, patch 2.1 has gone live and fixes numerous bugs as well as some missions.

When looking at the patch notes we can see that Undead Labs have gone ahead and fixed several missions that sometimes were impossible to complete due to specific items not being available for players. Players that choose to get up close and personal with their enemies will be glad to know that this update has fixed the issue where experience wasn't gained in the close combat specification. In celebration of the of 4th of July the developer has released an 'Independence Day' DLC pack. The pack includes zombies dressed up in uniforms, a colorful change to player's gunpowder, new versions of vehicles, weapons and gear. Players should also note that there is a new wandering trader that packs everything explosive that players want to celebrate with.

DICE has announced that the new test phase for Battlefield V will take place in the summer, with more news to be revealed from the developer in the coming weeks.

The developer thanked everyone for participating in the Battlefield V closed alpha, where they noted: "The Battlefield V Closed Alpha has now ended. Your participation and feedback are instrumental in helping us make the best WW2 game possible and we appreciate your involvement. Make sure to pre-order Battlefield V and get the Enlister Offer which gives you early access to the Battlefield V Open Beta and in-game benefits. Deploy early into an unprecedented take on WW2".

But it is the last bit that teases is the most, where DICE tease: "The next test phase for Battlefield V will arrive in late summer - so stay tuned".

Infinity Ward is knee deep into developing Call of Duty for 2019, with the developer allegedly making the next-gen Call of Duty game for "multiple next-gen platforms".

The tease of next-gen consoles and Call of Duty 2019 comes from a recent job listing for Infinity Ward, with the job listing stating: "Come work with the game industry's brightest on a new, exciting, unannounced title for multiple next gen platforms". We can add one and one together to see that the new exciting announced title is Call of Duty, but whatever it is the tease of "multiple next gen platforms" is even more exciting.

The job listing continues: "In this hands-on role, you'll collaborate with scripters, sound designers, writers, and directors to implement voice-over performances in-game across a wide variety of player experiences - from combat to set-pieces".

EA pumped out the Battlefield V closed alpha on the PC last week, with plenty of people testing it out and seeing what the performance of the game is like in its very, very early state with some truly impressive results.

PCGamesN has some results to share between the AMD Radeon RX 580 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics cards, with the RX 580 dominating the GTX 1060 in a very, very big way. The tests were performed at both 1920 x 1080 and 2560 x 1440 on Ultra settings with the RX 580 sitting at around 30% more performance than the GTX 1060.

Starting at 1080p we have the RX 580 pumping away at 68FPS average on DX11 while the GTX 1060 is only capable of 45FPS, while the minimums are vastly superior on the RX 580 with 56FPS minimum compared to just 34FPS on the GTX 1060. It's no better for NVIDIA with DX12 enabled, as AMD maintained 68FPS (just 1 FPS lower than DX11) while the GTX 1060 drops 4FPS (10%) down to 41FPS when DX12 is enabled at 1080p.

Last week Codemasters released a brand new trailer for F1 2018, the trailer was focused around the French Grand Prix and showcased a selection of professional drivers playing the game. Now the developer has released the first batch of screenshots for the game, revealing a beautiful setting with some amazing visuals.

From the screenshots we can see some great detail in the roads, cars, tires, paint, pit stop crew and most importantly the on track experience. The diverse environments combined with a great selection of cars and tracks is planned for players to feel as immersed as possible.

BioWare's highly anticipated title 'Anthem' has gamers waiting patiently for it's release in 2019. Some gamers are already questioning what the studio has in store for us after the initial release, the General Manager for BioWare has answered these questions in a recent interview.

In a interview with Game Informer, General Manager for BioWare, Casey Hudson has spoken out about the studios plans after the company secures the launch of Anthem in 2019. During the interview, Hudson was asked if the studio's next big project would a new Star Wars game, "There are so many games that [...] we as a studio want to get to. So, one challenge is, to make a really great game on this scale really, at this point, takes the majority of the studio the size of BioWare, and we're a pretty big studio. There's so many more games that we want to make than we can't get to, so we kind of have to pick and choose and move through them. But, I've always loved Star Wars, I loved making Knights of the Old Republic. So...we're always trying to figure out what's next."

It seems that Hudson isn't too keen on the idea of coming back to make a new Star Wars game, but more so wants to concentrate the studios full efforts into getting back to the Mass Effect and Dragon Age franchises. "For Dragon Age and Mass Effect, we want to get back to them as soon as we can. Mass Effect is certainly a game I want to get back to. [...] It's my baby. I helped start Mass Effect, so of course we intend to get back to it at some point."
