NVIDIA predicted to generate $300 billion in AI revenues by 2027 with a 75% market share
NVIDIA's stock price has already doubled this year, with the company making the short list of companies with a trillion-dollar evaluation, thanks in part to the boom in the AI market. Which, as of writing, is all but entirely dependent on NVIDIA's graphics and AI hardware sitting at the heart of all major AI advances.
And this level of growth doesn't look like it's about to slow down anytime soon; just the other day, we reported on a partnership with NVIDIA and OpenAI, where the companies are aiming to combine the power of a million NVIDIA GPUs with AI software linking them all together.
Today comes a new report over at Business Insider where Mizuho analyst Vijay Rakesh will surge another 20% due to the recent boom in AI with a new "conservative" target of USD 530 a share. The analyst also believes that NVIDIA and its hardware will dominate the AI space until at least 2027.

INNO3D has announced a new pair of liquid-cooled GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards for custom closed-loop systems, with the new iCHILL Frostbite Pro featuring a "compact, one-slot space-saving design." A far cry from the three to four-slot air-cooled behemoths available, the 23mm thickness of the GPU makes it one of the smallest and sleekest high-end options available.
Assuming, of course, you're in the market for a high-end liquid-cooled option and need a GeForce RTX 4090. INNO3D has outlined the physical design of the iCHILL Frostbite Pro, confirming that the nickel-plated full copper waterblock covers the GPU, memory, and power components to deliver "better performance than a standard AIO cooler."
Throw in a reinforced carbon fiber backplate and a 24+4 phase configuration, and the INNO3D iCHILL Frostbite Pro is sleek - with the company noting that its compatibility with closed-looped systems is "comprehensive." There's no out-of-the-box OC here, per the official specs for the GPU, but being a liquid-cooled GPU, no doubt that'll be up to the user to configure.
Ford recalls 870,000 F-150s over dangerous parking brake malfunctions
Ford has announced that it will be recalling nearly one million F-150s as the trucks can unexpectedly engage their electric parking breaks.
The company has announced the recall in a new document posted by government safety regulators, Where it states that 870,000 of its F-150s between the years of 2021 and 2023 that have a single exhaust will be recalled. The document was posted last Friday and details that the rear wiring bundle can sometimes come in contact with the rear axle housing, resulting in the wiring experiencing chafing and, in some cases, short-circuiting.
This short-circuiting can result in the parking brake turning on without any interaction from the driver, which obviously increases the chances of a crash, hence the recall. So how often has this happened? According to the documents, there have been 918 warranty claims and three field reports of wire chafing across North America. Additionally, of those 918 warranty claims, 299 indicated unexpected parking brake activation. 19 of those claims happened while the truck was being driven.

Hubble telescope snaps eye-watering image of a star swallowing a planet
There are billions of planets in the universe, and one, in particular, is suffering a tragic fate as its host star continuously pulls it closer and closer to its doom.
That planet is called AU Microscopii b, and its located just 32 light-years away from Earth, which is relatively close when you consider the sheer breadth of the universe. Its host star, AU Microscopii, is a red dwarf that is slowly but surely pulling pieces off of the planet that will ultimately end in a tragic demise of evisceration.
This morbid event, while tragic for the planet, is a prime target for scientific observations, which has already begun with NASA's Hubble Space Telescope that has pointed its highly sensitive instruments at the star and planet combo. So what will scientists learn from observing the death of this planet? Researchers expect that they will learn more about atmospheric evaporation, or the process of a planet's atmosphere slowly being destroyed by its host star.
NASA's Webb confuses scientists with a photograph of a cosmic question mark
The world's most powerful space telescope has imagined a tightly bound pair of actively forming stars bringing forth an absolutely gorgeous new image.
That telescope is none other than the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), and according to the European Space Agency, which recently published a new image, the two tightly bound stars are called Herbig-Haro 46/47 and are located approximately 1,470 light years away from Earth within the Vela constellation.
The above image shows how both of the stars are being fed over the course of millions of years. As reported by Space.com, the image depicts an extremely large disc of material containing dust, which is slowly consumed by both stars aiding their growth.
NASA in talks with SpaceX to convert Starship into a new space station
SpaceX's Starship launch vehicle could soon become a new destination in low Earth orbit as the company is currently getting advice from NASA to convert the rocket into a space station.
For those unaware of Starship, the original design was unveiled by Spacex in 2016, with company CEO Elon Musk saying the next generation rocket is the Interplanetary Transport System, a rocket designed to carry 100 people, along with cargo, to Mars in a single flight.
Now how does this tie into a new space station? Reports indicate that NASA and SpaceX are in talks to convert a Starship launch vehicle into a space station as the International Space Station is nearing its end of life, with the space agency expecting that the legendary floating laboratory will come to its operational end by the end of 2030.

Radeon Adrenalin 23.7.2 drivers are causing massive performance issues on the Ryzen 7 7840U APU
AMD's Radeon drivers have a long and troubled history regarding reliability and performance issues. However, that has become less frequent, with mature and stable driver releases seemingly becoming the norm for Team Red. The idea of bad AMD drivers is more of a misconception than an actual one.
Driver releases don't always go to play, though, as seen with the recent release of Adrenalin Software version 23.7.2. A user (@carygolomb over on Twitter/X) with a Ryzen 7 7840U reported that the driver update incorrectly changed the internal GPU from a Radeon 780M to a slower Radeon 760M - dropping performance to that level, plus causing havoc with their system.
To the point where internal and external devices stopped working entirely - from their Xbox controller to the sound card. Yikes. As a single example, it's not indicative of the bigger picture, at least until tech-focused outlet Digital Foundry responded to confirm that the Ryzen 7 7840U inside its AYANEO PC gaming handheld saw a massive performance hit with the latest driver.
Elon Musk officially rolls out ad revenue sharing program on X, formerly Twitter
Elon Musk has officially launched the Add revenue sharing program for the newly renamed platform X, formerly Twitter.
The new program enables users to theoretically make money off of their posts, but there are some caveats, such as the requirements for an account to be eligible for the ad revenue sharing program. X will require users to meet the following requirements - an active subscription to Blue or Verified Organizations, at least 15 million impressions on cumulative posts within the last 3 months, and at least 500 followers.
If the account has met the aforementioned requirements, the user is able to set up a payout system through a linked Stripe account. From there, the user will get a regular payout if their payout exceeds $50. The recent launch of the ad revenue-sharing program is part of Elon Musk's long-time push towards supporting creators on X through the monetization of posts/content.
New AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE 16GB GPU is available in Australia as part of a complete system
AMD officially unveiled the new Radeon RX 7900 GRE (Golden Rabbit Edition) last week, a brand new GPU in the Radeon RX 7900 line-up that is essentially a cutdown Radeon RX 7900 XT. With the announcement that custom models from AMD partners XFX, Power Color, and Sapphire are in production, it turns out that what was previously thought to be an exclusive release for the Chinese market is making its way globally.
The XFX Radeon RX 7900 GRE 16GB GDDR6, which follows AMD's reference design for the new GPU, has been spotted at Australian retailer PLE Computers as part of a 'PLE Lunar Custom Built Gaming PC' - pointing to the GPU being provided to system integrators for all-in-one gaming PCs.
The full build, which also features an AMD Ryzen 7 7700 CPU, ASUS TUF Gaming B650 motherboard, 2TB of Crucial PCIe Gen4 storage, and 32GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, has a price of AUD 3,489.00 (around USD 2,300). Interestingly with different GPUs available, swapping out the XFX Radeon RX 7900 GRE 16GB for an ASUS GeForce RTX 4070 Dual OC 12GB drops the price of the full build by only USD 30.
NVIDIA's massive quad-slot GeForce RTX 40 Series cooler prototype has a hidden third fan
It's no secret that NVIDIA was planning to release a GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics card with a massive quad-slot Founders Edition cooler, with many believing it was for the seemingly canceled GeForce RTX 4090 Ti - according to current reports on the supped up RTX 4090.
However, the company was testing several different SKUs and configurations before we got the still-massive GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition, with new images showing us the prototype quad-slot cooling design in full.
In addition to featuring a unique PCB mounted at a 90-degree angle, the quad-slot GeForce RTX 40 Series cooler also included a third (and hidden fan) inside. The detailed images popped up on Twitter/X over the weekend via @harukze5719, with these new images taking off the metallic shroud to showcase a hidden third fan - making it a triple fan Founders Edition.

Xbox has a capture problem and it's getting worse
Microsoft has always had a complicated history with screenshots and captures, and now the saga is about to get even messier.
In a big blow to capture aficionados everywhere, Microsoft has announced plans to shut down the Xbox Console Companion App in late August. This app was the primary way to directly import and download screenshots from Xbox consoles to a PC. The way it works is that clips and screenshots captured on an Xbox console would be uploaded to Xbox LIVE, and then users could access those captures through the Companion App and download them to a local machine.
This is useful for a whole manner of reasons, especially for content creators who insert captured clips into their YouTube videos. As a writer and reviewer, I have often used the Companion App to download screenshots that I took on Xbox in order to put them into written reviews. The removal of the Companion App is another hassle

The Google Pixel Watch 2 is getting four new, exclusive watch faces and they just leaked
The Google Pixel Watch, like the Apple Watches that came before it, has multiple watch faces that users can choose from when wearing their wrist computer. With attention having now turned to the Pixel Watch 2 it seems that Google has been working on some new watch faces that will be offered on that wearable.
According to a new report, there will be as many as four new watch faces, all of which will be exclusive to the Pixel Watch 2. That means that buyers of the original Pixel Watch will have to upgrade to the new model if they want to enjoy the new watch faces.
The watch faces have been leaked by Android Authority which claims to have come about them by way of a Google insider. They're said to be an anonymous source inside Google, so it's difficult to know how legitimate this leak is at this point.
Stablemates OnePlus Open and Oppo Find N3 foldables tipped for big zoom camera gains
New foldable phones from OnePlus and Oppo are set to have the best periscope cameras ever offered in a foldable, a new leak claims. The leak specifically mentions the Oppo Find N3, but that phone is expected to be branded as the OnePlus Open when it arrives globally.
The report comes via the oft-reliable Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station and claims that the Find N3 will boast a big periscope zoom lens upgrade when compared to other foldable phones that are currently on the market. And that includes the latest from the likes of Samsung. A Hasselblad imaging system is also tipped in the same report.
If this turns out to be accurate then there could be some promising specifications for the two phones. We're also told to expect a phone with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage which is a lot for any phone to have. It also matches the top end of Samsung's new Galaxy Z Fold 5 in terms of storage and even beats it in terms of RAM - Samsung's latest has 12GB.
Multiview finally debuts on YouTube but there's a huge catch
It's been in testing for some time now but YouTube is finally starting to roll out its Multiview service, although there is a good chance that you won't actually be able to use it.
Multiview on YouTube TV is something that has been in testing for months and it's now starting to roll out for those who are subscribed to the WNBA Primetime Channel. The subscription gives people access to streaming via the YouTube interface, with the new Multiview implementation giving people the chance to watch up to four games at the same time.
However, the Multiview offering will only be available on smart TVs as well as via streaming sticks like the Amazon Fire devices and, of course, Chromecast. However, there will be no launch of Multiview support for those watching on the web or the mobile apps and it isn't clear if that is something that is going to change at any point.

Samsung's Galaxy Ring faces a production D-Day this August
Rumors continue to point to Samsung announcing its own fitness ring similar to the Oura Ring and a new report claims that the company will make a decision on mass production as soon as next month.
The report claims that the development of the Galaxy Ring has been in the concept stage, with mass production not planned to kick off until August. However, it appears to suggest that Samsung hasn't yet decided that mass production will actually happen which could mean that the project might be delayed or ditched entirely.
The report, courtesy of the Korean supply chain watchers at The Elec, also notes that even if the mass production is given the go-ahead for August it might e some time before the product can actually go on sale. The wearable would need to go through all of the testing and licensing to ensure that it can be used to measure heart rates and other medical data. It's likely that the Galaxy Ring will keep track of things like blood oxygen levels, too.

Mark Zuckerberg vs Elon Musk cage fight now in doubt as exclusive audio surfaces
The highly anticipated cage match between tech titans Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk May not even happen at all after recent comments came out from Meta's CEO.
A new report from Reuters has revealed exclusive audio obtained by the publication of Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg addressing a crowd of employees during a company town hall meeting. The comments regarding the cage fight between Musk and Zuckerberg came about during an in-depth discussion about Threads, the newly released Instagram-integrated app that's a direct competitor to Elon Musk's X social media platform, formerly Twitter.
Notably, the fight isn't officially canceled and was originally expected to take place in a Las Vegas arena, organized by UFC President Dana White. However, Zuckerberg can be heard through these exclusively obtained audio recordings that he isn't sure will come together. The audio leak has certainly cast some doubts on whether or not the match will ever happen, in what already seemed like a far-fetched idea with minimal chance of fruition.
NASA is officially building a nuclear-powered rocket to make travel times to Mars faster
In a groundbreaking collaboration, NASA and the Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) have joined forces with aerospace giant Lockheed Martin to accelerate space exploration with the development of a nuclear thermal rocket (NTR) engine.
The project, named the Demonstration Rocket for Agile Cislunar Operations (DRACO), aims to achieve the world's first in-orbit demonstration of this cutting-edge Propulsion technology. According to Dr. Tabitha Dodson, the program manager for the effort, A nuclear thermal rocket will be similar in terms of thrust during in-space travel as A conventional chemical rocket, but will be two to three times more efficient.
Scientists revive 46,000 year old worm and it started having babies
A new report from scientists published in the journal PLOS Genetics details a 46,000-year-old worm being brought back to life by researchers inside a petri dish.
The team of researchers explained in the recently published study that the roundworm was discovered in Siberian permafrost that dates back 46,000 years, and after the worm was defrosted, It began having babies, or more specifically, engaged in "reproduction, development, and repair." So how did this worm survive? According to the team of researchers, the worm was suspended in animation through a process called cryptobiosis, a state in which all metabolic processes are paused.
The researchers were able to take a sample from the worm's genome and discovered it belonged to an "undescribed species," which has now been named Panagrolaimus kolymaensis. Deep sea biologist Holly Bik said It's reasonable to estimate there are millions of nematode species suspended in the animation in various environments such as ocean trenches, tundras, deserts, and volcanic soils.
