EK has just introduced its new Nucleus AIO CR360 Direct Die all-in-one cooler for Intel LGA1700 processors that have been delidded, with the new AIO cooler co-developed by overclocking legend Der8auer.

The new EK-Nucleus AIO CR360 is a new CPU cooler crafted for Intel LGA1700 processors that have had their owners remove the integrated heat spreader (IHS). This process leads to higher efficiency, but there are risks associated with delidding your processor.

If you've already delidded your Intel LGA1700 processor, the direct die AIO cooler is a great next step, because this new AIO cooler is the step between using a regular AIO cooler without delidding your CPU, and a fully custom loop water cooling setup.

OneNetbook has just announced the launch date of its new X1 "3-in-1" gaming handheld, powered by Intel's new Core Ultra 7 155H "Meteor Lake" CPU.

The new X1 features a bigger 10.95-inch 2.5K LTPS display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, with the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor featuring 16 cores and 22 threads of Meteor Lake CPU power at up to 4.8GHz. At the same time, there's an NPU processor for AI workloads clocked at up to 1.4GHz, with LPDDR5-7500 memory ensuring high RAM takes care of everything you're doing on the X1 gaming handheld.

This new OneXPlayer X1 gaming handheld looks like it's one of the first rolling out with Intel Arc GPU graphics, with the Core Ultra 7 155H processor being the second-fastest Meteor Lake-H processor that Intel makes with 28W of power, while it's the third-fastest with the Core Ultra 9 185 CPU with 45W of power.

Update: AMD reached out to us for a correction, stating that "all" of the new Phoenix 2 parts will have dual-channel and that this was a mistake. That's a good mistake, which is awesome... all Phoenix 2 dies will have dual-channel memory support, not single-channel like we reported below.

AMD detailed its new Ryzen 8000G AM5 desktop APUs at CES 2024, where we can expect the Ryzen 8700G and Ryzen 8600G based on the Phoenix 1 dies, while the Ryzen 8600G and Ryzen 8300G are based on the Phoenix 2 dies.

We're learning that the Phoenix 2-based Ryzen 8600G and 8300G will be limited in their memory channels and PCIe lanes, which might be an issue, even for a budget platform. GIGABYTE's new B650E AORUS ELITE X AX ICE motherboard and Ryzen 8000G Phoenix 1 dies with PCIe 4.0 x8 for discrete graphics cards and PCIe 4.0 x4 ready for M.2 NVMe SSDs.

Apple's soon-to-be revolutionary Vision Pro headset is nearly here, and we're slowly getting more details about what is happening inside of the mixed reality headset.

Inside, the new Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset will feature an in-house M2 and R1 co-processor system, but the higher-end M2 processor with more GPU cores will be found inside of the $3499 headset. It will need the beefier GPU system because the Apple Vision Pro will be powering dual 4K micro-LED screens.

Apple makes its M2 processor in two variants: one with an 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU, while another bumps up to a 10-core GPU that will be found inside of the Apple Vision Pro headset. Apple uses its M2 processors inside of the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air laptops. This is some of the best silicon Apple makes and will be the star of the Vision Pro headset.

NVIDIA has just reportedly secured massive AI GPU orders from Indian data center operator Yotta, which sees them steering the AI GPU business away from China and into the arms of India.

The news is coming from Yotta's chief executive, who talked with reporters at Reuters that the company was purchasing more AI GPUs from NVIDIA worth $500 million, taking its total order book with the AI GPU leader to $1 billion. Yotta is beefing up its AI cloud services and needs more AI GPUs to power it.

Yotta CEO and co-founder Sunil Gupta told Reuters that his company would feature close to 16,000 of NVIDIA's AI GPU chips spread between the H100 and upcoming GH200 AI GPUs and will be placed by March 2025. Last year, Yotta placed an order with NVIDIA for close to 16,000 x H100 AI GPUs that are due for delivery to Yotta by July 2024.

AMD had plenty to talk about at CES 2024, but one thing we didn't hear a peep on was their RDNA 3-based Radeon RX 7000M mobile GPU designs... and it's a big disappointment.

ComputerBase was on the ground in Las Vegas at CES 2024, noting that there was not a single new laptop with a Radeon RX 7000M mobile GPU. The site explained: "As CES 2024 concludes, the answer is clearly "no." Not only has there been no new notebooks with Radeon RX 7000 Mobile to the editors' knowledge, but the m16 R2 and m18 R2 have also switched to a pure GeForce RTX 4000 offering - at least currently the RDNA 3 configurations are not available more".

ComputerBase continued: "The same applies to the new ASUS TUF Gaming A16 (2024) , which in combination with an AMD Dragon Range (7x45HX) processor was an AMD Advantage flagship product just a year ago. At least the Ryzen 9 7945HX remained as the CPU. From 2022 with AMD Ryzen 6900HS and Radeon RX 6800S from AMD CEO Dr. There is also no trace of the Corsair Voyager a1600 (test) presented personally by Lisa Su or its successor".

NVIDIA released its interesting, almost concept-style GeForce GTX 295 graphics card 15 years ago now... with sandwiched PCBs with dual GPUs enabling SLI on a single card back in 2009.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 with dual GPUs cost just $499 back in the day, which isn't bad for a ridiculous dual-GPU monster card. It isn't a monster today at all, with its GT200 GPU made on the older 55nm process node. Each GT200 GPU featured 240 unified processors for a total of 480 unified processors through the dual-GPU design, twice that of the GeForce GTX 280 and its single GPU.

At the time, the GTX 280 had its benefits -- from being a single-GPU card -- but the GTX 295 dual-GPU graphics card wasn't just two GTX 280s together. NVIDIA had a monster dual GT200 GPU sitting on the GeForce GTX 295, but the rest of the specs were knocked down between the GTX 260 and GTX 280 single-GPU graphics cards.

On the heels of multiple back-to-back hack-and-slash RPGs, Yoshi-P would like to see Square Enix conquer the action genre.

Square Enix has come a long way from its turn-based roots. Starting with Final Fantasy XV in 2016, the publisher has released multiple new modern Final Fantasy games with action-oriented combat including Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy Origins: Stranger of Paradise, and the most recent medieval epic Final Fantasy XVI.

So...where does Square Enix go from here? If Naoki "Yoshi-P" Yoshida, the savior of Square Enix's MMORPG cash crop, has his way, the Japanese games-maker will hone its craft on action.

On our trip to CES 2024, we decided to check out what Cooler Master had on display, and boy, oh boy, they had A LOT. Starting with the case above, the Qube 500, but this one has woodgrain accents. The Qube 500 is flat-packed and comes in various colors.

Next is another case we are working on, the NCORE 100 MAX, an mITX case boasting the ability to accommodate a four-slot GPU. The NCORE 100 MAX comes with a GX II 850w PSU and a 120mm AIO. Two colors are available and are available now for $395 currently on Amazon.

Next up, we have a familiar case but with a nice fresh white paint job, the HAF 700 White. The HAF 700 series is focused on high airflow while being able to accommodate a massive amount of hardware. We reviewed the black version, The Berserker, a while ago. You can check that review out here.

Now that FFXVI has been released and that new FFXIV content like Dawntrail is on the way, it sounds like Yoshi-P may not return to help direct Final Fantasy XVII.

Unlike its misleading name, the Final Fantasy franchise shows no signs of stopping. Nor should it: the series has sold over 140 million copies, proving to be a cash crop for developer Square Enix. But there's just one question: Where does Final Fantasy go from here? FFXV fused modern tech with magic, FFXVI brought us back to grim medieval fantasy. Where will Final Fantasy XVII take us?

In a recent interview with Sony Interactive Entertainment's Shuhei Yoshida for the Game Maker's Notebook, Square Enix's Naoki "Yoshi-P" Yoshida gives us clues on what's next for the series.

Hogwarts Legacy has become the top-selling game of 2023, beating out usual suspects like Call of Duty.

2023 was one of the best years in gaming in terms of AAA variety. Publishers flooded the market with a multitude of must-have games, but one title had a huge advantage: It leveraged the might of the multi-billion-dollar Harry Potter franchise. Potterverse fans everywhere flocked to buy Hogwarts Legacy when it came out in February of 2023, and by the end of the year, the action RPG had sold 22 million copies on all platforms.

The demand is clearly there (Harry Potter fanatics have been wanting a modern authentic interactive game for a while now) and WB Games knows what it's sitting on. IP has always been at the core of the Warner Bros. business, and gaming offers an interesting opportunity to attract new users in an interactive and monetized way.

When Apple launched the iPhone 15 Pro it became the first iPhone with an Action button. The customizable button lets you configure it to do all kinds of things, and it's going to be part of the iPhone 16 Pro lineup as well. However, reports suggest that Apple is yet to really decide what that will look or work like with multiple prototypes having been worked through.

MacRumors had previously reported that Apple is testing a solid-state Action button alongside a new Capture button, although it isn't clear what the latter will actually be. Now, the same outlet reports that Apple has been working on different sizes of Action button but after multiple tests, it's back to where it started.

Writing in a new report, the MacRumors claims that Apple has ditched plans for a larger Action button and will instead stick with the smaller one that we're familiar with on the iPhone 15 Pro. It also appears to suggest that Apple is sticking with the old button design, although it seems that the Capture button will be capacitive.

While we were at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada, MSI showed off a new product in their product stack, a gaming handheld device dubbed the Claw.

The MSI Claw has an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor with Intel AI Boost. This processor has 6 P cores, 8 E cores, and 2 low-power cores. It runs on an FHD (1920x1080) IPS-level display measuring in at 7", which also runs at 120hz with 500 nits of brightness. Graphics are handled by an Intel Arc GPU along with LPDDR5-6400 RAM. A 53WHr battery keeps the games flowing for around 50% longer than the competition.

The ergonomic design of the Claw allows it to be comfortable in the user's hands for hours thanks to the weight and grip. MSI has thousands of samples of data collected from around the world. The Claw is ergonomically tailored for comfort and precision. Designed to fit the natural contours of your grip, it provides an intuitive gaming experience for hands of all sizes.

MSI had a few new GPUs to show off at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The good-looking chap above is the RTX 4080 Super 16G EXPERT, and we are in love with it. It just might be a shame or a crime to put a waterblock on such a beautiful GPU. Now, this GPU has MSI's ZERO FROZR tech to keep the fans from spinning until a load is present. When there is a load, the fans spin much like the Founders Edition of the RTX 4080/RTX4090 does, but with more static pressure.

This GPU also features a vapor chamber that covers both the GPU core and the memory modules, and then the heat is brought out via heat pipes to the fin array.

Now it's time to discuss the RTX 4070 Super 12G Ventus 2x White OC. Featuring a dual fan dual slot heatsink, which is quite a rarity nowadays. Featuring two of the Torx Fan 4.0, a copper baseplate, core pipes, and a reinforcing backplate rounds out list of features.

MSI was showing quite a bit off at CES 2024 here in Las Vegas. The image above shows a wired gaming mouse, Xbox controller, and wireless headset. The star of the show was the Xbox controller, which, by normal appearance, looked just like any other Xbox controller, but this one was a little different. There is a plate between the joysticks; once removed, the sticks can be easily removed just by lifting them up. Just imagine if you have stick drift and swapped in a new stick in seconds.

Next up, we have three wireless mice, dubbed Versa Pro Wireless 8K, Clutch GM51 Lightweight Wireless, and the Clutch GM41 Lightweight Wireless. The Vera Pro Wireless 8K states it has a top-notch PixArt PAW-3395 Optical sensor with optical switches. The 8K part comes with a true 8,000 polling rate, 8 times more data per second for smoother sensor tracking. The Clutch GM51 Lightweight Wireless follows the trend with lightweight mice, weighing only 85 grams.

The Clutch GM51 has the same PAW-3395 optical sensor found in the 8K. The Clutch GM41 Lightweight wireless has the PixArt PAW3370 Optical sensor and just weighs just 74 grams. Lastly, the Clutch GM31 Lightweight Wireless is a 73-gram gaming mouse with the PixArt PAW33 optical sensor. Every MSI mouse also has Tri-Mode connectivity, which will connect up to 3 devices.

While at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada, MSI showed us some M.2 SSDs they have been working on. The three pictured above, the M450, M461, and M480, are MSI's PCIe 4.0 offerings with speeds ranging from 3,600 MB/s all the way up to 7,400 MB/s.

The M570 Pro is a PCIe 5.0 NVMe M.2 2TB FROZR that ups the speeds to 12,000 MB/s, which is impressive in its own right. Fitted with a custom heatsink, MSI says it has fully covered the controller and flash modules along a surfaced heatsink using case airflow, thus reducing temperatures by up to 20C.

The first version of the Spatium M580 PCIe 5.0 NVMe M.2 2TB FROZR+. This M.2 is capable of lightning speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s reads with 12,000 MB/s writes. The cooling solution that MSI has implemented is a 6mm heat pipe, which is flattened to make complete contact with the controller and flash modules. Then, the accent heatsink is high enough to use more of the case airflow to help dissipate heat away.

XPG, which is an ADATA brand, had a few things to show us while we attended CES 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kicking things off, in the image above, is XPG wireless peripherals, which were running off of a single USB wireless dongle. When explained how this was possible, we were told it was a 20K MHz connection running in split mode, meaning the headset could be using 8K, while the keyboard could be using 7K and the mouse 5K, which is all done all behind the scenes via the XPG Prime software.

Next up, we have mechanical keyboards, which, for us, looked absolutely beautiful. The Sorcerer Mini is made with a gasket mount design with triple-layered foam. Foam dampening provides the satisfying "Thoc" we all are looking for. It is a TKL design with XPG tailor-made red switches. It has per-key RGB lighting offering customization via the XPG Prime software and has two additional accent keycaps for extra drip.

Now that we have covered the little brother, the Sorcerer steps up to a full-sized 97-key design with all the same features of the Mini but with three additional accent keycaps for extra drip.

Starting our portion of the tour, we ran into these new Aeolus P2 RGB fans, which link together and receive power from a single connection point. GAMDIAS will sell these fans in sets of three in two packages. The package on the left has just three fans, while the one to the right comes with a hub rather than using an inline controller for lighting and will also offer software for control.

While boasting speeds at 2400 RPM, delivering 74 CFM and 3.1 mmH20, there is a more important feature to these fans. Where many companies use switches to reverse flow or leave you needing to purchase another set of fans entirely, GAMDIAS is shipping the Aeolus fans with extra fan blades for each fan. That leaves customers the ability to run them as intake or exhaust simply by swapping the blades to fit the need. What makes the deal even sweeter is that the projected MSRP is only $89.99, but the date of release is yet to be determined.

On the other side of the suite, GAMDIAS showed packaging for all their updated CPU coolers, where we see the Aura GL 240 WH and Aura GL120 V2 in black on the left. The pair of air coolers are the new Boreas M2 in white and black models.

If you're someone who uses an Android phone or tablet and wishes that you could put your home screen widgets on the lock screen, you probably aren't alone. Now that iPhone and iPad users can do that, people might wish they could do it on Android - and back in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean that was a possibility. But the feature was pulled as part of Android 5 Lollipop, and a new report suggests it might be back with Android 15.

Writing for Android Authority, Mishaal Rehman says that he has been able to get the lock screen widgets working on a Pixel Tablet in what appears to be a new so-called communal space. Here, widgets can be added assuming that they have the right configuration - something that only seems to be the case for a limited number of Google widgets right now.

The testing was done on a Pixel Tablet running Android 14 QPR2 Beta 3 and it's thought that Google is still in the early days of working things out, something that might explain why things aren't working so great at the moment. But that isn't the most interesting thing here - the report suggests that Google might be about to limit the new feature to devices with larger displays, like the Pixel Tablet.

The Apple Arcade subscription gaming service allows people to pay a single monthly fee and gain access to a ton of games that can be played on multiple devices. Many games are available on the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV or some subset of those devices, and there are titles from some big names as well as many indy developers as well. And while Apple might not be known for having its finger on the pulse of the gaming world, a new report suggests that it might be doing much better than you might think.

That report comes via research outfit MIDiA, with a lengthy report into the newer entries into the gaming market suggesting that Apple Arcade isn't alone. Netflix is another company making waves in the world of gaming, and the report suggests that it's now time to start taking them both more seriously.

To back that up the research team shared details that suggest Apple Arcade is proving popular. According to its Q4 2023 consumer research survey, 10% of US consumers use Apple Arcade weekly.
