Jak Connor | TV, Movies & Home Theatre | Nov 25, 2019 2:50 AM CST

The third episode of Rick and Morty Season 4 has aired, and while it might 'steal' your attention, for the time being, don't get excited about next week's episode because it's not happening.

Rick and Morty Season 4 Episode 4 won't release next weekend

Comic Book has confirmed that Rick and Morty Season 4 will be going on a two-week break starting from now and will return with the fourth episode after this period. Comic Book says this news was confirmed through a new promo for the next episode, which can be seen above.

The reasoning for this hiatus from the fourth episode is most likely due to Thanksgiving being this weekend. So just to be clear, Rick and Morty Season 4 Episode 4 will NOT be aired on Sunday, December 1st, and instead return back to viewers on Sunday, December 8th. For those wondering how many episodes are in Season 4 as a whole, Adult Swim will be gifting us with 10 glorious episodes in two batches.

$310 million worth of Bitcoin moved to unknown wallet for only $0.32c

Jak Connor | Cryptocurrency & Mining | Nov 25, 2019 2:14 AM CST

While the bitcoin price certainly isn't where it was when it was at its peak, that doesn't mean there isn't large holders of the currency still out there.

$310 million worth of Bitcoin moved to unknown wallet for only $0.32c

According to the Twitter account 'Whale Alert' which tracks Bitcoin transactions from wallet to wallet, a massive transaction just occurred. This transaction wasn't in the hundreds of dollars either; it was, in fact, in the hundreds of millions of dollars equating to more than $310 million USD.

What is the exciting part about this movement is that the holder of 44,000 BTC only paid a measly $0.32 in transaction fees. This information comes from Blockchain.com's Bitcoin explorer, which says that the owner of the transaction paid just 0.00004551 BTC -- or $0.32c. This isn't the first time a massive amount of Bitcoin was moved for an extremely low amount in transaction fees, as back in July this year, one holder moved $450 million multiple times and only accumulated $400 in fees.

Hideo Kojima will watch horror movies to make the scariest horror game

Jak Connor | Gaming | Nov 25, 2019 1:32 AM CST

Hideo Kojima is already on an adventure to make source new inspiration for his next title, this time though he is forcing himself to watch horror movies.

Hideo Kojima will watch horror movies to make the scariest horror game

Before Kojima left Konami and formed his own game development studio, Kojima Productions, he was in the middle of developing a brand new Silent Hills game. This new Silent Hills game had a demo called PT, and while Kojima can't continue development on Silent Hills, he can make his own horror game, and it won't be a breeze either.

According to Kojima's official Twitter account, he will be forcing himself to watch all the scariest horror movies in order to "awaken my horror soul". Kojima mentions a Thai horror movie called THE EYE, which is the movie he rented and tried to watch while he was making PT. Unfortunately, Kojima didn't have the guts to finish it but will be giving it another go for another hopeful dosage of inspiration. Does this mean Kojima's next title will fall into the horror genre? Perhaps, but plans do change quite quickly in early development.

NASA's Lunar Orbiter has pointed out China's crashed satellite crater

Jak Connor | Science, Space, Health & Robotics | Nov 25, 2019 1:04 AM CST

Back in July, China's Longjiang-2 satellite was launched to the Moon, unfortunately, we now believe that that satellite has created a new impact crater on the surface of the Moon.

NASA's Lunar Orbiter has pointed out China's crashed satellite crater

China launched the Longjiang-2, which is designed to work with its counter-part Longjiang-1 to confirm low-frequency radio astronomy observations. Now, NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter or LRO for short, has identified a new impact crater on the moons surface, its believed that this impact crater is from China's satellite.

According to Mark Robinson, the leader of the LROC (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera) located at Arizona State University, a new lunar crater has been found within the Van Gent crater. The researchers were able to determine this by careful comparisons of old LROC images of the surface of the Moon in the same area versus the new ones. According to Robinson's measurements, "we are fairly confident that this new crater formed as a result of the Longjiang-2 impact". For those wondering how big the crater is, it's estimated that it measures in at 13 feet by 16 feet in diameter.

This strange X17 particle may explain dark matter & natures 5th force

Jak Connor | Science, Space, Health & Robotics | Nov 25, 2019 12:33 AM CST

For quite some time, physicists have been basing their theories off four fundamental forces of nature, but what if we are on the verge of adding one more force of nature into the mix?

This strange X17 particle may explain dark matter & natures 5th force

Scientists are currently collating evidence to support the theory that there is, in fact, a fifth force of nature that has yet to be detected and that this new force of nature could help explain the extremely mysterious dark matter. This new force of nature dates back to 2016 when the first study was published where findings supported the claim that there is a fifth force. The team behind this study were looking for "dark photons" which are believed to be "carrying" dark matter. To try and see these "dark photons" the researchers used a particle accelerator to shoot particles through a vacuum and observed the reaction.

The researchers closely monitored beryllium-8, an unstable isotope, and found unexpected light emissions that were against the law of conservation of energy. Researchers out of the University of California, Irvine, said that this unknown particle was not a dark photon but instead a boson. A boson is a particle in quantum mechanics that acts as the "glue" that holds matter together. Bosons are present with each of the four fundamental forces of nature, meaning that if researchers suggest that this unknown particle is a boson -- we have a new fifth force of nature.

200,000 pre-orders of Tesla Cybertruck reached, worth over $10 billion

Anthony Garreffa | Electric Vehicles & Cars | Nov 25, 2019 12:09 AM CST

Tesla is really racking up the pre-orders of its exciting new Cybertruck, with Tesla Motors and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk tweeting that the company has received over 200,000 pre-orders for the Cybertruck so far.

200,000 pre-orders of Tesla Cybertruck reached, worth over $10 billion

It was barely 24 hours ago that it was reported Tesla had over 146,000 pre-orders of its new Cybertruck, seeing the company rack up over $7.5 billion in sales pretty quickly -- but with 200,000 vehicles now sold those numbers have increased. Just a quick, rough calculation of 30% more Cybertruck's sold on the $8B already sees that number climb north of $10.6 billion.

Tesla had 128,000 reservations of its Model 3 in the first 24 hours post-debut, so while the Cybertruck is lagging... there are a few things to consider. First, the Tesla Cybertruck is a much more expensive electric vehicle -- and it has 3 different models at varying prices. Secondly, it is not a mainstream car and has a specific audience it is aimed at.

Amazon is pissed over losing $10 billion JEDI contract to Microsoft

Anthony Garreffa | Business, Financial & Legal | Nov 24, 2019 11:36 PM CST

Amazon lost a rather huge $10 billion cloud computing contract to Microsoft and is really upset about it, with the company filing a federal lawsuit on November 22 fighting for the Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure (JEDI) contract.

Amazon is pissed over losing $10 billion JEDI contract to Microsoft

The retail giant is red-faced at the Defense Department and its choice of Microsoft over Amazon for the $10 billion JEDI contract and while the Jeff Bezos-owned company hasn't explained its reasoning behind the lawsuit, it has claimed that there has been "unmistakable bias" and even suggested "political influence" in the JEDI decision.

We won't be finding out the inner workings of the JEDI lawsuit from Amazon, as they filed the suit under seal and it is seeking a protective order as there is some very sensitive information that could see "severe competitive harm" to both Microsoft, Amazon and the US government.

Only in Japan: $1 hotel rooms offered if you livestream your stay 24/7

Anthony Garreffa | Hacking, Security & Privacy | Nov 24, 2019 11:11 PM CST

In another 'Only in Japan' post -- you can stay overnight in the Asahi Ryokan hotel for just $1 per night, but there's a big catch -- you'll need to livestream your stay 24/7.

Only in Japan: $1 hotel rooms offered if you livestream your stay 24/7

Asahi Ryokan owner Tetsuya Inoue made the changes not long after taking on the business after his grandmother founded it, and tried to improve it for the new economy of 2019 and beyond. Asahi Ryokan is now offering guests rooms for just $1 per night if they agree to allowing their stay overnight (or longer) to be livestreamed.

There are rules and at least some privacy, with Asahi Ryokan not placing cameras in the bathroom, guests can turn the lights in the room on or off, and most importantly the livestream is video-only, so there's no audio to listen to that gives a thin layer of privacy. Inoue began running the hotel starting in 2018, explaining: "This is a very old ryokan and I was looking into a new business model. Our hotel is on the cheaper side, so we need some added value, something special that everyone will talk about".

Frozen 2 opening weekend isn't chilling out: hauls $350 million

Anthony Garreffa | Business, Financial & Legal | Nov 24, 2019 10:33 PM CST

Disney has set another record in 2019 at the box office, with Frozen 2 becoming the largest debut of an animated movie ever with $350 million in its opening weekend.

Frozen 2 opening weekend isn't chilling out: hauls $350 million

Frozen 2 has already dethroned Toy Story 4 and its global record haul of $240 million back in June, and far exceeds expectations of the opening weekend sitting at around the same $240-$250 million mark. I think people underestimate the power of Frozen and how badly people wanted a sequel given how much the original movie went mega viral.

The domestic opening weekend of Frozen 2 was a big one, with around $130 million in box office sales in the US so far. This means that Disney sees Frozen 2 becoming the fifth highest opening of a movie in November of all time, behind Hunger Games: Catching Fire ($158M), Twilight Saga: New Moon ($142.8M), Twilight Breaking Dawn 2 ($141M), Breaking Dawn 1 ($138.1M) and ahead of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 ($125M).

PlayStation 5 rumored to ship with 2TB of super-fast SSD for $499

Anthony Garreffa | Gaming | Nov 24, 2019 9:11 PM CST

The rumors on Sony's next-gen PlayStation 5 console are flying thick and fast, and while there are questions around what exact type of storage the PS5 will have -- we know it'll be super-fast, but at what capacity? 1TB? 2TB? We know from the latest rumors that the PlayStation 5 will reportedly sell for $499 and launch on November 20, 2020.

PlayStation 5 rumored to ship with 2TB of super-fast SSD for $499

PlayStation 5 leaker PSErebus tweeted a couiple of days ago that the next-gen PlayStation 5 will ship with 2TB of storage for $499, which is a big deal. I would've thought the regular PS5 with 1TB of storage would've sold for $499, while a larger capacity PS5 with 2TB of super-fast SSD storage would've sold for a higher cost like $599.

We know from PlayStation architect Mark Cerny that the ultra-high-speed SSD inside of the PlayStation 5 is the "key" to the next-gen console. Cerny said in an interview with the Official PlayStation Magazine earlier this year: "An ultra-high-speed SSD is the key to our next generation. Our vision is to make loading screens a thing of the past, enabling creators to build new and unique gameplay experiences".
