The deal is predictably only for new PS Plus subscribers, and buying the sub enrolls you in auto-renew, which you'll have to turn off to avoid a $9.99 recurring charge.

Your 1-month membership will renew automatically and $9.99 + applicable tax will be deducted from your wallet every 1 month until you cancel. If your wallet has insufficient funds, your account's default payment method will be charged the remainder. Price may change," the deal page says.

Apple has enjoyed great success with its phenomenal new 12.9-inch iPad Pro, rocking its in-house M1 processor and Mini-LED display technology. But the new iPad Pro, it is rumored to have a horizontally-placed camera to push users into using the iPad in landscape mode.

According to new rumors from @dylandkt on Twitter, who leaked out early whispers on Apple's unreleased M1X MacBook Pro laptops, has said: "Future iPad Pro's will feature a horizontal camera placement and a horizontally placed Apple logo on the back. Apple will make landscape mode the default for iPad Pro usage. I have not confirmed whether the next generation model will have this feature but it is in the works".

It makes sense, as an owner of Apple's new 12.9-inch iPad Pro it is definitely annoying having to use the Face ID feature with the camera at the top of the iPad if I'm watching videos or playing a game. Although, an under-display camera directly in the middle of the iPad Pro would be even better.

Samsung's next-gen Galaxy S22 family of smartphones will be released in the first half of 2022, with the flagship Galaxy S22 Ultra teased in new renders.

The new Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone packs an S-Pen in the new renders, with the Galaxy S22 being the first smartphone from Samsung in a post-Galaxy Note world that has an S-Pen stylus.

It started with the Galaxy S21 Ultra which was the first smartphone to support Samsung's S-Pen, and with no Galaxy Note released this year -- but two new foldable with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, the Galaxy S22 Ultra featuring an internal S-Pen would be a big, big deal.

The world of the future is kind of unfathomable at this point when it comes to normalizing 3D-printed food, but the Creative Machines Lab at Columbia Engineering have done it -- 3D-printed chicken with lasers. Check it out:

The video explains it all -- they've used real chicken and grinded it up to be used by a 3D printer in a very, very intricate way. This 3D-printed chicken can be put in any manner of patterns, and then with a combination of 3 lasers it is cooked with what is promised with incredible results.

3D-printed chicken cooked with lasers is twice as moist as conventionally cooked chicken, as well as shrinking half as much as regularly-cooked chicken while retaining its flavors. You can also use the various lasers to do different things to the chicken such as higher surface-level browning, broiling, and more. The laser was even capable of browning the chicken through the packaging... scary (lasers through plastic into chicken) but impressive.

Intel's new 12th Gen "Alder Lake" CPUs aren't too much further away, and now we have some more benchmark numbers to tease us from the flagship Core i9-12900K processor.

In some new tests with Cinebench R23, the new Core i9-12900K processor was benched and scored 30,549 in multi-core tests, this is up against 30,054 from the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990X and Ryzen 9 5950X with 28,647.

The new Core i9-12900K was used inside of an ASRock Z690 Phantom Gaming 4 motherboard, installed into a system made by a Chinese system integrator called ThundeRobot. This system was tested with the Core i9-12900K processor benched in SiSoftware Sandra but didn't match up against the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X.

Elon Musk has "semi-separated" from Grimes and will continue on separate paths, where they'll co-parent their one-year-old son X Æ A-12.

We now have most companies and products using USB-C from the Nintendo Switch, to the Apple iPad and MacBooks, virtually every Android smartphone and tablet on the market, monitors, and so many others. The news is coming from Battlefield 2042 leaker Tom Henderson, who has now put firm dates on the Battlefield 2042 beta. October 6 isn't too much further away now, 10 days isn't so bad -- at least if you've pre-ordered Battlefield 2042 then you'll get access into the beta.

But man-oh-man the Battlefield 2042 open beta is going to be big, that's when the world will really either shine down, or sh*t on Battlefield 2042 before it drives up into its official launch. I'm pretty hyped at this point, but I don't have all my hopes put on it -- I'm enjoying Warzone (Rebirth at least) and will dive right into Battlefield 2042 the second it's available.

Halo Infinite has its own BYYB animation glitch that absolutely destroys players with a fusillade of melee attacks. Simply pressing the buttons in rapid succession lets you melee an infinite number of times, and of course you can remap on controller and PC to best suit your spamming needs. You can try it out for yourself by firing up the Halo Infinite technical test, starting Training Mode, and channeling Muhammed Ali on some poor AI bots.

343 Industries will assuredly patch this out before the game's final launch but we're surprised it made it into a technical test in the first place. It'll be interesting to see how much grief the glitch causes when PVP goes live later today.

Halo Infinite players have already found a way to glitch into the custom games browser and try out new guns that aren't supposed to be released yet.

Halo Infinite's PVP isn't live yet, but that hasn't stopped some gamers from jumping in anyway. Users have found a way to get into Halo Infinite's custom games browser and set up their own PVP tournaments with friends. The lobby confirms up to 28 players can join a game at a time (that's 14v14 team chaos) and has three maps to choose from, including the new Behemoth from BTB.

Redditor Shadowstrike1 was able to recreate the glitch multiple times with a very specific sequence of player invites and party boots.

China has been continuously cracking down on cryptocurrency but this new step is the biggest yet -- with China's central bank clamping down on crypto harder than ever before.

The People's Bank of China has said that services that offer trading, order matching, token issuance, and derivatives for virtual currencies are now strictly prohibited. Oh, you thought you could live in China and trade crypto overseas? Nope, that's also illegal.

China now considers cryptocurrency transactions as criminal financial activity, with China's central bank to "resolutely curb the hype of virtual currency transactions, severely crack down on illegal financial activities and illegal criminal activities related to virtual currencies, protect the safety of the people's property in accordance with the law, and make every effort to maintain economic and financial order and social stability".

The PlayStation 5's Control Center needs a storage quick launch function now more than ever.

The PS5 now supports M.2 SSDs for storage expansion, and gamers can now attach PC-grade PCIe 4.0 drives into the console to boost available space. This is a pretty big deal considering the PS5 only has 667GB of usable storage after formatting. Installed M.2 drives, however, can utilize nearly all of available storage and don't require extra reservations.

This new storage development means gamers might be spending more time transferring and paying closer attention to their available storage. By no means is the storage problem solved by the M.2 drive unlock--it's merely a band aid and you'll still eventually have to play the uninstallation mini-game at some point.

The new Castlevania Advance Collection just released on Switch for a cool $20, offering tremendous value for the price.

For a company that hasn't released a new mainline game in a while, Konami is being pretty reasonable with pricing of its re-releases. The new Castlevania Advance Collection has a pretty decent $19.99 price tag on Switch and includes the awesome old-school Game Boy Advance side-scrollers (Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, and Aria of Sorrow) in one emulated package, complete with quality of life improvements like save states, regional ROM selection, and even extras like an interactive database of Castlevania content.

The collection also casually includes Castlevania Dracula X as a bonus game, which is one of the best in the series (that end Dracula boss fight is tough as nails so be prepared to use the save states). Just one of these retro games commands astronomical prices on eBay (Aria of Sorrow is going for over $160 as a single GBA cart) so this is a great way to experience some must-play on-the-go classics.

Microsoft's first-party studio The Initiative is getting help from Crystal Dynamics on its new Perfect Dark game.

Tomb Raider and Marvel's Avengers developer Crystal Dynamics is co-developing Microsoft's new Perfect Dark FPS, which is slated to releases as an Xbox Series X exclusive in the coming years.

"Perfect Dark update! We are partnering with Crystal Dynamics, the world class team behind character-driven games such as Tomb Raider, to bring this first-person spy thriller to a new generation," The Initiative said on Twitter.

Earth is a beautiful planet, but unfortunately, most people won't be able to see it the same way Hayley Arceneaux has seen it.

The video footage was captured by Inspiration4 crew member and medical officer Hayley Arceneaux when she was aboard SpaceX's Dragon capsule that took her and three other crew members to space for three days. The video has been posted to Hayley's personal Twitter account with the following as the caption; "The 360-degree view of our beautiful planet from the cupola was absolutely life-changing".

The view that Hayley and the other crew members had for three days was out of Dragon's large glass dome or cupola. SpaceX replaced Dragon's docking module commonly used by astronauts arriving/leaving the International Space Station. Since there was no need for a docking module as the Inspiration4 mission didn't include any docking, the space transportation company replaced the docking module with a cupola that allowed the Inspiration4 crew to experience the Overview Effect.

Reports have indicated that the Inspiration4 crew faced some "challenges" when it came to using the Dragon toilet.

The Inspiration4 mission with SpaceX raised $200 million for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. $50 million was thrown in by SpaceX CEO Elon Musk after the crew successfully landed back on Earth off the coast of Florida. While the mission was an overall success, it didn't come without its challenges. According to Musk, the crew experienced some "challenges" with Dragon's toilet system.

Musk tweeted that Dragon will be getting upgraded bathroom facilities for future flights, "Definitely upgraded toilets :) We had some challenges with it this flight," said Musk. Back in July, mission sponsor and crew member Jared Issacman said to Insider that "It's not a ton of privacy. But you do have this kind of privacy curtain that cuts across the top of the spacecraft, so you can kind of separate yourself from everyone else." A new video has captured the moment the Inspiration4 crew first saw the Earth through SpaceX's Dragon cupola.

The video has been posted on the Inspiration4 YouTube channel and shows crew members floating around the Dragon capsule. Hayley Arceneaux, the crew's medical officer, is seen center frame smiling at the camera, and in the background, the very famous soundtrack from Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey is playing.

Hayley is then seen looking out the see-through dome or cupola that SpaceX equipped the Dragon for this specific flight. The video shows Hayley's reaction to the view out the cupola and other crew members vocalizing their amazement. The very last few frames really show how genuine this moment is as Hayley's reaction goes from excited and smiling to blank-faced awe with tears welling up in her eyes. A truly incredible moment to capture on video.

Reports are indicating that a newly released study has added to our timeline of human evolution through carbon dating footprints.

The study has been published in the journal Science, and co-author David Bustos explained that he first heard about "ghost tracks" when he began work as a wildlife scientist at the White Sands National Park in New Mexico back in 2005. The "ghost tracks" got their name from how the footprints would appear on blank Earth if the ground were wet enough during certain times of the year. When the ground became drier, the tracks would disappear.

Inspection of these tracks confirmed in 2016 that humans made them, and according to research published in Science on Thursday, the tracks have been dated and are now some of the earliest known footprints of humans anywhere throughout the Americas. The tracks date back to 21,000 to 23,000 years ago and prove that during that time period, humans were present in the area, which is several thousand years earlier than scientists previously estimated.

Officials have warned that Tropical Storm Sam formed on Thursday in the Atlantic Ocean and has now become the 18th named system of the season.

According to reports and official warnings from the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Sam is strengthening 1,560 miles east-southeast of the northern Leeward Islands and is currently moving west at around 15 mph. Officials are warning that Tropical Storm Sam could gain enough strength over the weekend to have wind speed greater than 110 mph, categorizing it as a major hurricane.

The National Hurricane Center said, "Sam is rapidly intensifying, and maximum sustained winds have increased." Adding, "Rapid intensification is forecast to continue through early Saturday. Sam is likely to become a hurricane very soon and then could be a major hurricane by Friday night or early Saturday." At the moment, it's unclear whether Sam will reach landfall, but officials have said that residents located in Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the US East Coast to remain alert about the situation.
