Apple is getting closer to the release of its next-gen iPhone 8 smartphone, but there are reports surfacing that engineers and designers at Apple are working "feverishly" to fix software-based problems in the new iPhone 8, something that could see disastrous delays of major features.

The new iPhone 8 is meant to feature inductive wireless charging, but with a "sense of panic" at Apple over not being able to fix these major issues, the company might be forced to launch the iPhone 8 without it's new wireless charging feature.

Apple would stage the wireless charging feature into a future iOS 11.1 update, months after the initial launch of the iPhone 8. This would mean the iPhone 8 is gimped at a hardware and software level, holding features it is capable of but Apple is stopping them from working due to what appears to be a major flaw.

Google might have a massive surprise for their next-gen Pixel XL smartphone, with Android Police reporting that LG is making the upcoming Google Pixel XL 2 smartphone, something that would feature a "squeezable" frame that activates Google Assistant.

The new squeezable frame is similar to HTC's just-released U11 smartphone and its impressive "Edge Sense" feature that lets you use a squeeze gesture that activates pressure sensors that can flick the flashlight on, open up the camera app, snap a photo, or launch Google Assistant.

Google's upcoming Pixel XL 2 smartphone is rumored to sport a 6-inch display with a 2:1 aspect ratio, rounded corners, and a "minimal bezel". It has a longer design that looks similar to Samsung's Galaxy S8 smartphone, with the fingerprint sensor placed in the most accessible spot - right on the back, just like the current-gen Pixel and Pixel XL.

Dell has announced its new Latitude 7285, a premium 12-inch 2-in-1 laptop that competes against Microsoft's new Surface Pro line of products, but Dell has a major advantage: wireless charging.

Dell's new Latitude 7285 is capable of wireless charging through a separate Wireless Charging Keyboard and Wireless Charging Mat pack that sells for $549.99, which isn't too bad when you consider the Latitude 7285 has a starting price of $1199.

The starting cost will get you 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which are joined by an Intel Core i5 (Kaby Lake) processor, and 12-inch 2880x1920 anti-glare display.

Samsung is enjoying great sales on its new flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones, but the new Galaxy Note 8 smartphone isn't too far away from release, and it too will rock a gorgeous Infinity Display.

The latest tease of the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 shows off the massive Infinity Display, which should arrive at a large 6.3 inches. This will make it a little bigger thgan the Galaxy S8+ but the Note 8 will rock a stylus, larger battery, and I'm sure more pro-oriented tweaks like the Note 7 did over the Galaxy S7.

We should see Samsung bump up to 6GB of RAM in the Galaxy Note 8 over the 4GB inside of the Galaxy S8, and the same Exynos 8895/Snapdragon 835 options found inside of the S8. Samsung will reportedly use a dual-camera on the Note 8, while keeping the fingerprint sensor next to the rear-facing camera which would be a gigantic mistake. I hate the positioning of the fingerprint sensor on my S8, it's far too high to use... and the Note 8 will lose out if Samsung does this.

There are many second and third-tier smartphone manufacturers, some of them pride themselves in manufacturing knock-offs while others find other things that set them apart. Ulefone have found another niche, with the Ulefone F2, they've successfully combined the look of a Samsung infinity edge display with the 8GB of RAM of the OnePlus 5 and put them into one phone.

Their claim is that the Ulefone F2 is the first phone in the world with 8GB and an Infinity Edge Display. While this claim is oddly specific, it's really hard to ignore the fact that the Ulefone 2 looks like a complete ripoff of the Galaxy S8+ or Note7.

The Ulefone F2 also features a rear dual camera setup that looks a lot like the Xiaomi Mi 6, once again adding a popular feature to their phone that might set them apart. After all, there really isn't a phone with an Infinity Edge Display, 8GB of RAM and a dual camera, at least not yet, unless the Samsung Galaxy Note8 manages to pull that off.

Back in May, Andy Rubin, the co-founder of Android, and his company Essential Products unveiled their first smartphone. The Essential Phone stirred up a lot of dust because of its stunning design and flagship specs.

Right after the official announcement, the phone was available for pre-orders at the company's website at a price of $699 or $749 if you go for 360-degree camera attachment. At the same time, Andy Rubin stated that the company would not open the device for pre-orders if it would not be available for shipment within 30 days. This would put the deadline for the first shipments on June 30th.

OppoMart has listed protective cases for the iPhone 8 on its website, and they seem to confirm the rumored design.

According to the previous leaks and OppoMart's listing, the iPhone 8 will have a vertically lined up dual rear camera setup. It is also visible from the photos that the Home button is missing.

Caviar, a Russian company known for special edition phones, mostly iPhones, which feature portraits of the Russian president, has launched a special edition of the modern Nokia 3310 named the Putin-Trump Summit.

The Caviar Nokia 3310 New Putin-Trump Summit, which is the full name of the phone, features portraits of both Trump and Putin on the back of the phone. There's also an emblem of the G20 summit below the portraits.

Apple will announce new iPhone devices in September, and according to many sources, we should expect three new devices - two upgrades to the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, and a premium iPhone 8.

While the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus shouldn't bring many changes to the design and the features, the iPhone 8 is rumored to come with some changes.

The iPhone 8 is expected to rock an OLED screen and ditch the fingerprint sensor in favor of facial recognition. It was also rumored that the device would support wireless charging. However, the latest leak claims that this feature is still questionable.

Samsung today announced earnings guidance for its Q2 2017 timeline, showing strong quarter-over-quarter growth in both total sales and operating profit, and the highest operating profits in the company's history.

Mobile juggernaut Samsung's Q2 2017 guidance forecasts $52 billion (60 trillion Korean won) in net sales during the second quarter, and a tremendous $12.13 billion (14 trillion Korean won) in operating profit, with both respective revenues recorded as median forecasts. Analysts note that this operating income is more than the combined Q1 quarterly earnings of titans Facebook, Amazon, Netflix and Google.

Samsung's second quarter forecasts sees both net sales and operating income up quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year. Net sales are predicted to be 18.69% quarter-over-quarter and 17.78% year-over-year, whereas operating profit is up an incredible 41.41% QoQ and an astronomical 71.9% year-over-year.

Back in May when HTC announced its flagship, the company revealed that the U11 has the highest DxOMark score, outranking Pixel and Galaxy S8. DxOMark score is the ultimate guideline when it comes to smartphone cameras.

The HTC U11 received score 90, which is the highest score on DxOMark so far, and it will take a mighty phone to take it off its throne.

We've had high expectations from the OnePlus 5, especially since the company partnered up with DxO itself for the phone's camera, but the phone didn't manage to beat U11's camera.

Vivo, the company that recently launched the first smartphone with a fingerprint sensor embedded under the display, has released the successor to its X9.

The X9s is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 652 processor and comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It features a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED screen and runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

The phone comes with a 16MP rear camera and a dual front camera setup, 20MP + 5MP. Other features include a fingerprint sensor and a 3,320 mAh battery. The device is priced at $396.

A month after the launch of the Galaxy J5 (2017), Samsung has launched a new smartphone, the Galaxy J5 Pro.

The phone is powered by Exynos 7870 processor with octa-core 1.6GHz processor and Mali-T830MP2 GPU. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

The device features a 5.2-inch display and runs Android Nougat (7.0). The Galaxy J5 Pro comes with a 13MP rear and 13MP front camera.

HMD Global is pretty eager to bring back the old fame to the Nokia phones. They already announced a modern version of the Nokia 3310 and three Nokia smartphones. The company should also announce its flagship, Snapdragon 835 powered smartphone, later this year.

But the company is not stopping there. They have announced that they are partnering up with Zeiss for its smartphones camera. HMD Global shared its excitement saying it's looking "to set new imaging standards within the smartphone industry."

Zeiss posted a tweet saying that they "look forward to an exciting journey into the future of smartphone imaging." Interestingly, the tweet features a short video which indicates that the two companies might be working on a dual camera setup, rumored to debut in Nokia 9, the company's flagship.

Apple is planning to use OLED displays in all the new iPhone models launched in the second half of 2018, claim industry sources.

One of the sources states that Apple plans to release three new models next year, all of them with OLED displays.

According to sources in OLED production, panel makers might not be able to meet the demand if Apple goes through with their plans.

RED is a company that has a history of leading the movie industry into new technologies. RED was the first company to make 4K cameras accessible, and now we have 4K in virtually every movie and TV show imaginable. They already have 8K cameras as well, but as you know, that's a long way away.

RED has a tendency of creating their own technologies for their products when those technologies don't quite exist yet like they did with the RED One, their first 4K camera.

Back in October, Xiaomi announced their most ambitious phone so far - the Mi MIX. The device comes with an incredible 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio, which the company says is the world's 1st. Less than four months after the launch, the company's CEO Lei Jun confirmed that they are working on the Mi MIX successor.

The company is reportedly aiming for 93 percent screen-to-body ratio this time, and it has been confirmed that Xiaomi is again developing the phone with the help of French designer Philippe Starck, who worked on the design of the original Mi MIX.

We've already seen some interesting Mi MIX 2 concepts that show an almost bezel-less design with a curved display. The device could also feature a dual camera.

We recently learned that Samsung is planning to announce a mini version of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ and it seems that another Korean company is planning its mini smartphone.

According to multiple reports, LG is all set to unveil the G6 Mini, although it won't have the word 'mini' in the title but will be named LG Q6.

The LG Q6 should feature a 5.4-inch screen, which is slightly smaller than the G6, with an 18:9 aspect ratio.

Huawei has a habit of announcing its P line in the first quarter of the year, while the Mate line is unveiled in the fall. After the launch of the P10 in March, the company is now preparing to introduce the Mate 10.

The Mate 10 will most likely be unveiled at this year's IFA in Berlin, early September, and we already have some insights into what expect.

According to the reports, the Mate 10 will be powered by Huawei's first 10nm processor, HiSilicon Kirin 970. The Mate 10 should be the Huawei's first smartphone to feature this yet-to-be-announced chipset. The Huawei P10, as well as last year's Mate 9, are both powered by Kirin 960 SoC.

More and more phone manufacturers are ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack, and there have been some rumors that Samsung might to the same with the Galaxy S8 and S8+. However, the company decided to keep it, at least for now.

With the Note8 launch around the corner, many began to question if the device would keep the headphone jack, or join the numerous other phones that lack this feature.

According to a new leak, a photo of the Note8 case, the phone will have a 3.5mm headphone jack.
