This is our best look at the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro colors yet
All the talk right now is understandably about the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the colors of those devices have been a hot topic. Now, we might have our best look yet at what Apple has in store.
There has been a lot of talk about the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max colors in particular, with Apple rumored to be ditching the familiar gold color and replacing it with something called Titan Gray. We're also set to lose the rather excellent Deep Purple, replacing it with a dark blue of some sort. Those rumors have people worried that the best iPhones will come in four different shades of gray and these new photos won't do anything to make those people feel better.
The images are of supposed dummy models and were shared to X by leaker Sonny Dickson. The images show the apparent silver, gray, black, and dark blue colors in all of their glory. We're not sure we're fans of what we see here, but we might have to see them in the flesh before we can really pass judgment. The new titanium construction could make these new colors sing, but the lack of anything brighter than gray is a concern.

Analyst weighs in on iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro colors, including the many shades of gray
Now that Apple has officially confirmed that it will hold a streamed event on September 12, all eyes are very much on what we can expect to be announced. The smart money is on four new iPhones and a couple of wearables and most of the rumors revolve around the new phones. Now, one analyst has had their say on which colors the various models will be available in.
As always, Apple looks set to keep some existing colors around while ditching others and replacing them with something new. With that in mind renowned supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared details about the colors that they believe will be available when the new iPhones go on sale. Their supply chain connections make their color observations particularly worth taking note of.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be offered in black, pink, blue, yellow, and green. That green color is one that was recently rumored and is thought to be similar to the green that was previously offered as part of the iPhone 12 lineup. That color and model are still available at the bottom of Apple's lineup of course, but the iPhone 12 is likely to be removed once the new iPhone 15 models arrive.
These are the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro production problems Apple has had to overcome
Apple finally announced its September 12 event yesterday and you don't need to be following too closely to know that we can expect four new iPhones to be announced. But a new report details exactly what Apple had to go through to get these handsets ready for mass production.
If everything goes the way that we expect, Apple will announce the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max during that September event and now analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has weighed in with a new Medium post that explains some of the main production issues that Apple and its partners found when trying to get these devices through the usual prototyping, verification, and then production processes.
According to Kuo, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus' new stacked CIS camera system caused problems as did the displays. Perhaps worryingly, Kuo also claims that the batteries for the new iPhones were problematic before going on to say that they were expanding when exposed to heat. We can only hope that this in particular was dealt with to ensure we don't have any exploding battery issues with these new phones.
Apple's iPhone 15 Pro event invitation might have leaked new color options
The worst kept secret in technology was confirmed yesterday - Apple will hold a special event on September 12, and while it didn't confirm what it's for we can be pretty sure it'll see the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models finally unveiled. Now, a new report suggests that the very invitation that Apple sent out might have confirmed what colors the new iPhones will ship in.
Specifically, the report by X leaker @URedditor, claims that Apple's iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max colors have now been leaked including the decidedly gray look that all of the options seem to have.
We've been seeing leaks of new color options in recent days and it's expected that Apple will ditch the popular Gold option, replacing it with a so-called Titan Gray option. The iPhone 14 Pro's Deep Purple is also expected to be replaced by a new deep blue-type color, and both of those new colors appear to be shown in the Apple 'Wunderlust' invitation sent to members of the press.
Google purposefully leaks flagship Pixel 8 Pro with new image
If you follow Google's line of Pixel mobile phones, you know the company is no stranger to leaks about unannounced devices. The Pixel 8 Pro is seemingly following suit.
Before the image that we are soon to discuss popped up, there were already a few leaked renders and images of the Pixel 8 Pro, and judging by the recently released image, those renders and previously leaked images were correct about the design. Android Setting on X noticed a new image popping up on a page that promotes Google's subscriptions and services. The image showcases a man holding what appears to be a Google Pixel 8 Pro to his ear.
The Pixel 8 Pro in the image is a Porcelain color, and many Google Pixel fans were suspicious if it was true or not that Google would release a phone in such a color. However, it seems those concerns can be put to rest as the tipster dived into the alt-text description of the image, which read, "A person takes a call on a Pixel 8 Pro phone in Porcelain". Notably, the new image matches the leaks that suggested the Pixel 8 Pro will feature a glass oval covering the rear cameras, along with the iconic bar that's present on previous Pixel models.

Apple expects the iPhone 15 Pro Max to be its best seller this generation, analyst says
Now that Apple has announced that it will stream an event on September 12 we can be pretty sure that it will announce the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max at that time. And according to one analyst, it's the last of those four that Apple expects to be the most popular of all.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max will of course be the most expensive of all of the new iPhones, but it's that model that Apple is leaning into and placing massive orders for, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says. In a post on Medium, the well-connected supply chain watcher says that the iPhone 15 Pro Max accounts for 35-40% of iPhone 15 series shipments, the highest share of all.
With that in mind, it's Kuo's belief that Apple expects the iPhone 15 Pro Max to be particularly popular, likely thanks to its exclusive periscope camera design. That periscope camera will be exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max this year and is expected to allow people to take new zoom photos. An optical zoom of around 6x is what the rumors say, twice that of the 3x zoom capabilities of the iPhone 15 Pro as well as the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Apple confirms the iPhone 15 event for September 12, here's what to expect
After all of the rumors, it's now been confirmed - Apple will hold an event on September 12. And while the company stopped short of saying what it would entail, we can be pretty certain that we will see the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro series of devices finally unveiled after months of rumors.
Apple confirmed the event in invitations sent to members of the press that asked them to join a special Apple Event that will be broadcast from Apple Park on September 12, starting from 10:00am PT. Apple's artwork for the invitation shows an Apple logo making like Spider-Man - dissolving away as if it's been Thanos-snapped.
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman shared a copy of the invitation on X, although Apple is yet to do so. In fact, the Apple X account is currently dormant so it's unclear whether we should expect any kind of promotion for the event going forward.
Is this the box your new iPhone 15 Pro will ship in?
When Apple finally announces the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro lineups next month it'll bring an end to an almost never-ending cycle of rumors. Now, the latest of those rumors appears to center around the iPhone's new box and what it will look like come launch day.
The box in question is for the iPhone 15 Pro, but we can imagine that the iPhone 15 Pro Max box will be identical. As for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, it's likely that will be slightly different. There aren't all that many differences from what we can see, but it does look like the new iPhone will come with a rather Samsung-like wallpaper.
As you can see in the image above, the new Pro iPhones look set to come with a new wallpaper that has what looks like an S in the center. The render you can see here is based on a post by X leaker ShrimpApplePro that claimed the iPhone 15 Pro will come in a white box with this particular S shape on the front.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 already leaked in this video
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 has only been around for a little while and now attention has already started to turn to what comes next. And what comes next, is the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
That much isn't news of course, and we can all do the math to work out what will come after that. But right now the leaks for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 are already starting, despite the fact that we don't expect the flagship foldable to be announced for another year or so. Regardless, that hasn't stopped images and video of the phone from appearing on social media.
That video and accompanying photos were posted to X by leaker Ice Universe and they leave little to the imagination. It's thought that these were taken by someone in Samsung's supply chain and as the leaker notes, they do appear to be similar to previous Galaxy S24 Ultra leaks including a flatter outer display and an overall more boxy design.

iPhone 15 Pro Max delay reports may have been premature, well-connected analyst says
Following reports that the iPhone 15 Pro Max might have to wait until October due to production issues, it sounds like we might have been worrying for nothing. That's after a new report by the well-connected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
There had been some concern that the iPhone 15 Pro Max's new periscope zoom camera could cause Apple and its suppliers to struggle to get the new iPhones into stores ready for the usual late-September release. However, Kuo's latest Medium post suggests that won't be the case with Apple already set to begin ramping up mass production of the best iPhone as soon as this week. Based on Kuo's report it's now more than possible that the iPhone 15 Pro Max should go on sale as normal.
Kuo's report says that he believes that analysts have been overly conservative when it comes to predicting how many new iPhones will be shipped as a result of the expected iPhone 15 Pro Max concerns. He also goes on to add that he believes that Apple's stock prices could experience a rebound once everyone gets a better handle on the stock situation.
The iPhone 15 could bring an old color back from years gone by
Fans of the green iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini are in luck because it sounds like Apple is about to bring back a color from those 2020 handsets when the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus go on sale next month.
Apple is strongly expected to announce the new iPhone 15 series alongside the iPhone 15 Pro models within a few weeks and a new leak claims that green will be one of the colors that is offered. It's likely to be joined by colors that previously leaked including black, yellow, pink, and blue while a (PRODUCT) RED model is also likely to be offered up.
That red color is one that Apple offers across its lineups and helps give additional money to The Global Fund to help combat the spread of HIV/AIDS and other viruses in Africa. A portion of the money from sales of those items goes to help those efforts.

This might be what Apple's faux leather iPhone 15 case will look like
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro are expected to be announced next month and the expectations are already very high indeed. But those who like to get their hands on a new leather case to go with their new iPhone will find themselves left buying a third-party one instead of an official Apple one. That's after reports that Apple won't make one of its own, preferring instead to go for something that will be a faux leather alternative.
The removal of the leather iPhone case is something that makes sense given Apple's stance on the environment and the different programs it runs also speak to that. The result is that making its own leather cases isn't something that really fits with Apple's environmental chops and it now sounds like the company has decided to replace it with something that will not be based on animal skin at all. Leaks suggest that an imitation leather material will be used, based on what Weibo leaker UnclePlan calls a woven shell.
Now, X leaker Majin Bu has shared images of what appears to be a case made by a company other than Apple but is said to be similar to what the official cases will look like. The leaker also says that while the material will apparently be similar to leather, it will have a different texture than the real thing.

iPhone 15 Pro's titanium construction could make them lighter than previous models
When Apple announces the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, likely next month, it's expected hat they will both get a new titanium construction. If that happens we can likely expect the new handsets to be noticeably lighter than the models that came before them.
How much lighter will the new iPhones be? That's a difficult one to try and figure out, but that hasn't stopped 9to5Mac from having a go at it. The figures produced are prefaced with a few caveats including the fact that the figures might not be all that accurate. But they could at least give us an idea of what we can expect from the new models.
Apple's Pro iPhones have historically used a stainless steel construction which makes them heavier than the aluminum constriction associated with the non-Pro models. But the move to titanium could change that, and these figures make for some interesting reading.
Unannounced iPhone 15 model appears in regulatory database as launch nears
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro are just around the corner and with the expected September 12 or September 13 announcement just weeks away we're starting to see more and more leaks crop up. Now, it appears that one of the new iPhones has made an appearance in a regulatory database that shows the handsets are closer than ever to being released.
This new regulatory appearance comes after MySmartPrice spotted that an unknown A3090 product ID had appeared on the BIS Indian certification website, meaning that it has gone through the process of being made ready to go on sale in the country.
This news comes after the same database outed the existence of the A3094, another unconfirmed device that is likely to be an iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro. Apple is expected to announce four new models next month with the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max on the way assuming Apple follows with the rumors we've been hearing of late.
This new Titan Gray iPhone 15 Pro mockup might change your mind about it
It's pretty normal for Apple to be at the center of the rumor mill, especially when it's getting closer to the release of two pairs of new iPhones. But right now all of the talk is about what colors some of those iPhones will come in rather than what features they will have or even how much they will cost. They're going to cost a lot, by the way. But we digress.
You've probably seen the reports already. Apple is expected to do away with the popular and familiar Gold color when it releases the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro next month, replacing it with what sources have apparently told 9to5Mac will be Titan Gray. The story goes that Apple wants to lean into the fact that it is moving on from the familiar usual stainless steel construction and using titanium from here on out. To do that, it's going to use a new gray color - just like it did with the titanium Apple Watch Ultra.
The problem is the mockups that we've seen show a gray iPhone that, frankly, underwhelms. However, a new mockup from AppleInsider might actually change some minds because it doesn't look bad at all. Does it look good? That's subjective, but it looks better than any of the mockups that we've seen before and may just explain why Apple is going to go this route after all.
Check out the iPhone 15 Pro's terrible Titan Gray color right here
The rumors and leaks continue to point to Apple releasing as many as four new iPhones in September, with two of them being the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. It's those two models that are at the center of a lot of talk right now, with new reports claiming that Apple is getting ready to make some big changes to the colors they'll be offered in.
Historically Apple has sold its best iPhones in Gold, Silver, some sort of Space Gray or Graphite, and then another special color that gets swapped out each year. But in 2023 it appears that Apple is going to try something different. According to reports by 9to5Mac, Apple will ditch the Gold color for the first time since the iPhone XS in 2018. That's strange enough, but what it will replace it with is even stranger.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple will replace the popular Gold colorway with a new gray, dubbed Titan Gray. And what's more, it has some mockups of what that gray will look like. It's a gray that will apparently lean into the move away from stainless steel and onto titanium, something that could make the new iPhones stronger yet lighter than previous models. But we have to admit that the new look isn't something we're particularly keen on. In fact, it's all a bit boring.

Those fancy new iPhone 15 USB-C cables might be another huge disappointment, here's why
When Apple switches the iPhone to USB-C it might not go beyond the current USB 2.0 speeds that Lightning is limited to, a new leak claims.
We've known for months now that the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max will switch away from the familiar lightning connector to a new USB-C connector for the first time. That's happening because the European Union wants all phones to use a common charger, but that isn't going to help people who want to be able to transfer files more quickly. Despite moving to USB-C, a new leak claims that those cables will still be limited to just USB 2.0 speeds.
That's the story on the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, at least. There is still the possibility that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will bump things up to Thunderbolt given their use as cameras by photographers and videographers alike.
There'll be no gold iPhone 15 Pro but two new colors are coming, leak claims
Fans of the gold iPhone 14 Pro are going to have to choose a new color if they plan to upgrade to the iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max, according to a new report. But don't worry, there are two new colors on the horizon assuming this latest leak is correct.
Apple always removes one special color and adds a new one with every iPhone iteration, and the iPhone 14 Pro's Deep Purple was always going to go the way of the dodo this year. But a new report claims that the gold finish is also going to go away this time around despite having been a staple of the lineup since the iPhone XS days back in 2018.
This is all according to a 9to5Mac report that cites unnamed and unspecified sources when it says that Apple is removing the gold finish from the 2023 Pro iPhone lineup. The report goes on to say that the company instead intends to lean into the new titanium finish and will sell a gray version that will likely look similar to the Apple Watch Ultra's current bare titanium finish.
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro might already popped up in this Mexico City Apple Store
At this point, it is surely impossible to have got this far and missed the fact that Apple is expected to announce not one, but four new iPhones next month. September 12 seems to be the date to save, and it now appears that some of the new iPhones might already have made an appearance in one Mexico Apple Store.
The store in question is located in Mexico City and it's reported that Apple may have used it as the location to film its iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro guided tour video.
Apple releases these videos for every new generation of iPhone, including last year's iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro. Now, one TikTok creator has shared a video to say that they noticed the area surrounding the Apple Store was closed off. And that wasn't all because they also saw the actor who has so far starred in all of the iPhone guided tour videos that Apple has put together. You can see him in the video above.
Did iOS 17 just leak the iPhone 15 Pro's Action button weeks ahead of release?
You don't need to be trying particularly hard to keep up with new iPhone rumors to know that Apple is expected to make big changes to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. One of those changes is the arrival of a new Apple Watch Ultra-like Action button to replace the mute switch, and now it looks like Apple's iOS 17 beta is getting ready for the swap out.
Apple has been putting iOS 17 through its paces ever since announcing the software during the WWDC 2023 opening keynote on June 5. Developers, as well as those on the public beta program, have been testing the software for weeks. But the latest beta has something new - a change that appears to be getting iOS ready for when there is no mute switch to speak of.
A new 9to5Mac report notes that iOS 17 beta 7 adds a new haptic feedback pattern designed for switching to and from Silent Mode. When that's done on a current iPhone a short vibration happens, but only when enabling the mode. Disabling it does nothing.
