ADATA unveiled its most powerful Gen 5 SSD that's built with unique cooling technology designed for improved heat dissipation.

ADATA is switching its focus to cooling solutions for its SSDs, and at Computex 2023, the company showcased what it's calling Project NeonStorm, a Silicon Motion SM2508 PCIe Gen5 M.2 SSD controller that pushes 14,000 / 12,000 MB/s read/write performance. While the read-and-write performance is very impressive, it's not what ADATA wants you to focus on.

ADATA has implemented a water cooling + fan solution that the company claims can provide 20% better heat dissipation compared to SSDs without water cooling. This water-cooling design features an extruded aluminum structure that holds in water, while the front/rear fans for heat dissipation. According to ADATA, when the heat rises off the SSD, it first contacts the heat spreader to increase the contact area.

Announced not that long ago, MSI's new SPATIUM M570 Pro series of Gen5 SSDs featuring the cutting-edge PHISON E26 PCIe Gen 5 SSD controller, 3D NAND flash, and custom-tuned active cooling system promised to deliver record-breaking 14 GB/s read speeds.

At Computex 2023, we saw it in action, where the promise of up to 14 GB/s read speeds was not only true - but sitting at exactly 14,520.75 MB/s read (14.5 GB/s) and 12,409.09 MB/s write. That alone is incredible when you factor in that most PCIe Gen5 offerings currently top out at just over 10 GB/s. However, what really grabbed our attention was that the SSD temperature was only 44 degrees Celsius during the benchmark.

How MSI has managed to keep the new SPATIUM M570 Pro cool won't be a mystery once you take a look at its size, as this is a PCIe Gen5 SSD with a custom cooler that is quite large for an SSD - and it even includes a sizable fan.

Look at any high-end GPU release for the past four or five years and have undoubtedly noticed that they got bigger, thicker, and heavier. GPU sag has become such a thing that brackets usually come packed in with brand-new GPU releases as standard.

This is something that hardware makers have noticed too, and MSI has heard the feedback loud and clear; people would like to see thinner, sleeker, and more GPUs that can fit in smaller form-factor cases and on desks with limited space. And with that in mind, it's creating a new range of GeForce RTX 40 Series cards based on its popular and critically acclaimed Gaming X series, called the Gaming X Slim.

Starting with the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X Slim (which is available first), the new Gaming X Slim range will cover the entire 40 Series line-up - including the GeForce RTX 4080, 4090, 4060 Ti, and the upcoming 4060. All are on track for release this year too, and we had the opportunity to look at the new RTX 4070 Ti Gaming X Slim at Computex 2023.

ZOTAC has shown off its refreshed design on its range of graphics cards at Computex 2023. From the extremely powerful RTX 4090 all the way down to the RTX 4060Ti.

ZOTAC was nice enough to give me a tour of their booth at Computex 2023, which had on display the company's range of graphics cards that have undergone a refreshed visual design. ZOTAC has abandoned the straight edges that it was commonly known for and decided to implement a round-edge design. This design refresh is across the company's range of graphics card offerings, from the ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 Amp Extreme Airo to the ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB Twin Edge OC White.

When I was at the ZOTAC booth, I noticed the new RGB piece on the top of the AMP Extreme models. According to ZOTAC, this new RGB light has a two-tone feature that users are able to customize through ZOTAC's software. More specifically, the Amp Extreme Airo has five different zones of customizable RGB lighting, allowing gamers to personalize their graphics card appearance fully.

When putting together a new PC build for gaming, cable management might be low on your list - but it quickly becomes a genuine hurdle as soon as you connect that first cable from the motherboard to your power supply. From there, things can quickly get out of hand regarding cables, with just about every device requiring some pinned connection to go live.

At Computex 2023, taking a tour through GIGABYTE's product line-up, we had the opportunity to take a closer look at the company's new concept - the AORUS Stealth 500. Specs-wise, it features all of the components you'd consider standard for a modern gaming rig. A Z690 AORUS ELITE Stealth motherboard, a GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING OC Stealth graphics card, and an RGB-lit and stylish AORUS C500 GLASS chassis.

Looking through the side panel, you'll notice one thing missing - cables. All of these are hidden, including the connector to the custom GeForce RTX 4070, outside of the pump for the AIO CPU cooler. GIGABYTE notes that the Cable Stealth Design isn't simply about delivering a cable-free look that is fantastic to witness in person. It's a system that is designed to simplify cable management and component installation.

ZOTAC has announced the Magnus One, an extremely powerful all-new desktop PC with upgraded graphics and CPU performance.

Following the release of NVIDIA's newest graphics card line-up, the RTX 40-series powered by the cutting-edge Ada Lovelace architecture, ZOTAC has rolled out a new and improved lineup of its Zbox desktop PCs. Introducing the Magnus One ERP74070C, which features the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 4070 12GB GDDR6X and an Intel Core i7-13700 Processor (16-core 2.1 GHz, up to 5.2 GHz). Notably, the Magnus one supports two DDR5-5600/5200 SO-DIMM Memory slots, one M.2 NVMe PCle x4 SSD slot, one M.2 NVMe PCle x4 / SATA SSD slot, and a 2.5-inch SATA 6Gbps HDD/SSD slot.

The specs don't stop there, as ZOTAC has equipped the Magnus One with a killer 2.5Gbps Ethernet port and one Gigabit Ethernet port. Furthermore, the Magnus One comes with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 support, along with a single UHS-II SDHC/SDXC card reader for content creators as well as three DisplayPort 1.4a, 1 x HDMI 2.1a for a maximum of four possible displays used simultaneously. If you were wondering about connectivity, ZOTAC has outfitted the Magnus One with one Thunderbolt 4, four USB 3.1 ports, and four USB 3.0 ports.

At Computex 2023, we had the chance to catch up with the team at GIGABYTE and got the opportunity to take a look at some very cool new products, one of them being the new AORUS GeForce RTX 4090 MASTER 24G with the company's new Bionic shark fans.

Take a closer look at the blades on this triple-fan high-end GPU, and you'll notice a design that mimics the look of the skin found on sharks. The kind is found in oceans and Steven Spielberg films titled 'Jaws.'

It's a fantastic and somewhat aggressive look, but GIGABYTE quickly noted that the new Bionic Shark fans aren't just about making one of its most powerful GPUs look cool and stand out. By mimicking a shark's "dermal denticles" and its benefits to fluid dynamics, it directly translates to a 30% pressure increase and a reduction in overall noise by around 3dB thanks to the new textured surface.

ZOTAC has walked me through the very impressive Zbox Pico mini PC, which features AirJet solid state active cooling.

Computex 2023 has kicked off with a bang, and I was lucky enough to get a complete walkthrough of the ZOTAC booth, where I was introduced to the Zbox Pico, a palm-sized PC that features an impressive cooling solution. ZOTAC explained to me that typically in the past, its previous mini PC used Pentium or Celeron processors, while the newer model, as pictured above, is the first to feature an Intel Core i3 processor.

This upgrade in power can be attributed to the AirJet solid state active cooling, which is able to reduce the amount of heat produced and, thus, enabling a higher-end processor to be implemented. These solid state cooling chips are able to draw in air from the side, reducing the internal temperature of the mini-PC, and then spitting out the hot air through the other side out its exhaust, as displayed by the blurry fan shown above. ZOTAC explained to me that typically in the past, these systems would feature heat sinks, but since the emergence of solid state cooling chips, they are no longer necessary in this particular build.

Computex 2023 is off to a roaring start, and as you can probably imagine, ASUS is very excited to show off its latest products. Introducing the already-released ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold OLED.

ASUS was kind enough to give me an introduction to the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED and explained to me that the product is designed for versatility as it can be transformed into multiple modes depending on what the user requires. ASUS explained to me that the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED comes with an ASUS Lumina OLED display for more accurate color, which tiers perfectly into the video-watching mode as pictured above. More specifically, the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED comes with a 17.3' 4:3 2.5K FOLED touchscreen that folds down to a 12.5" 3:2 laptop, as pictured below.

ASUS has equipped the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED with a laptop mode for users that need to work in tight spaces, such as on a flight, or users that are looking to conserve battery life. Additionally, users have the option of using a virtual keyboard if the physical keyboard isn't their forte. Furthermore, the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED comes with a 12th Gen Intel Core 17 processor.

Yesterday we were invited out to the ASUS HQ here in Taipei where we were fortunate enough to be shown some new products ahead of Computex, which is starting today.

One of the new products that were available at the ProArt booth area; ASUS, will display the complete ProArt component ecosystem, featuring the new ProArt LC 420 all-in-one CPU cooler, as well as a range of ProArt motherboards and graphics cards renowned for their minimalist design, all-in-one CPU cooler, as well as a range of ProArt motherboards and graphics cards renowned for their minimalist design.

ASUS is bringing back the Matrix naming (last seen with the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti) for its new flagship liquid-cooled ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090 all-in-one.

With a power rating of 600W and boost clock speeds that ASUS states is the highest for an off-the-shelf GeForce RTX 4090 to date, this is set to become one of the most powerful GPUs when it eventually releases.

The GPU features a liquid metal thermal compound, with the shroud featuring a large copper cold plate for heat dissipation. The embedded pump and 360mm radiator make it a formidable GPU in terms of physical size and look - with magnetic daisy chainable fans adding another dose of high-end quality to the build.

When NVIDIA chose to adopt the new 12VHPWR connector for the new Ada Lovelace-powered GeForce RTX 40 Series, which can deliver up to 600W through a single 16-pin connector, it presented a new wrinkle for those looking to upgrade. Without a brand-new ATX 3.0 PSU, the GeForce RTX 4090 is required to be connected via an adaptor. Anyway, it meant more cables dangling and visible around the GPU.

At Computex 2023, ASUS presents a concept GeForce RTX 4070 and motherboard that removes the need for a cable to be connected to the GPU entirely. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Hidden-Connector Concept VGA paired with the TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS Hidden-Connector Concept Motherboard. And yeah, it presents a clean, cable-free look that we'd love to see become a thing.

How it achieves this isn't magic, but impressive engineering with an additional PCIe power connection on the underside of the GPU. This connects to a custom board and draws power from the hidden connectors on the underside. So, yeah, not magic - but something that we'd love to see move beyond the concept stage and be adopted widely by companies that dabble in both the GPU and motherboard spaces.

In this post, we will be going through the process of recovering and rebuilding an Exchange Server setup after a failed migration from Exchange Server 2010 to Exchange Server 2019. We will be using Stellar Repair for Exchange as the recovery tool.

A client had a setup on a physical server with Windows Server 2008 R2 and Exchange Server 2010 (Standard) with three mailbox databases. The client purchased a new server with Windows Server 2022, and Hyper-V with the Active Directory already moved onto a Windows Server 2022 virtual machine. The plan was to also move to Exchange Server 2019 and decommission the old server as the Exchange Server 2010 and Windows Server 2008 R2 are out of support and end of life. Though they had some legacy applications, they were not compatible with the new systems. However, after the re-development of some APIs, this was rectified.

This is a big leap from an all-in-one box with one point of failure to splitting the services and virtualizing the system. This is ideal for the mobility and operability of the system. To do this, they cannot just install the Exchange Server 2019 as it cannot co-exist with Exchange Server 2010. They must first install the Exchange Server 2013 or 2016, move all the data to it, and decommission the Exchange Server 2010. After that, install the Exchange Server 2019, move all the data to it, and then decommission the Exchange Server 2013 or 2016. As they have around 1000 mailboxes, this isn't an easy task. It needs to be planned correctly.

CD Projekt Group CEO Adam Kicinski has officially squashed recent rumors that Sony is seeking to acquire The Witcher publisher.

Video games industry consolidation has been ramping up in recent years following the big COVID-19 boom. We've seen EA, Take-Two, Sony, and more recently Microsoft, all make and attempt high-profile multi-billion dollar acquisitions. Although CD Projekt is about to venture into unexplored territory, the company has no desire to sell itself to a larger entertainment parent.

In a recent earnings call with investors, CD Projekt Group President and CEO Adam Kicinski laid rest to the rumors of Sony buying out the Polish games-maker. "Nothing has changed on our end. I can repeat what we've been saying throughout the years: CD Projekt is not for sale," Kicinski said in response to the very first question asked at the Q&A session.

Today, CD Projekt announced its Q1 2023 earnings results and also updated total franchise sales of The Witcher series. According to the report, The Witcher franchise has now sold over 75 million copies, and the company's widely-acclaimed third chapter in the saga has broken a new milestone.

The Witcher 3 has now sold-through over 50 million copies from its original launch in 2015 to the present day. In eight years, Geralt's generation-defining adventure has become one of the top 10 best-sellers of all time.

NASA's Inspector General has released a new audit on NASA's management of the Space Launch System rocket, which is slated to be the transportation astronauts will take to the Moon.

The audit states that NASA will spend as much as $93 billion on the Artemis Moon Program by the end of 2025, with $22 billion being spent just in 2022 on the development of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket. Notably, the audit states that mounting costs can be attributed to development hurdles and missteps, resulting in the SLS rocket being behind schedule by six years. Furthermore, NASA's audit states that the space agency expects these costs to increase as well as the SLS schedule.

The development of the SLS rocket has already pushed NASA's budget for its Artemis Moon Program over by $6 billion, and according to the audit, these schedule delays and mounting costs can be traced back to poor assumptions of reusing salvaged engines from Space Shuttle launches. More specifically, the SLS rocket uses four RS-25 engines for every launch, which are either destroyed or abandoned entirely after launch.

Computex 2023 is off to a racing start and while the showroom floor is inundated with PC gaming hardware we have spotted a pretty unique cryptocurrency mining rig.

While cryptocurrency has certainly taken a downward turn since the price of Bitcoin dropped, there are still some interesting products emerging from various companies. One of those companies is Engineered Fluids, which walked us through their custom cooling solution for a Bitmain Antminer S19 90T.

As showcased by the above image, the Antminer has been completely submerged in oil which is then filtered through a cooling unit. The cooled oil keeps the system running at lower temperatures, enabling better performance, and thus, a higher hashrate.

It's no surprise that NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang's opening keynote at Computex 2023 dived head-first into the company's impressive advances in AI hardware. And with news that its new GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip has entered full production, it points to some incredible performance gains on the horizon. It manages to build on the already impressive H100.

The GH200 Grace Hopper Superchip sees NVIDIA combine an Arm-based NVIDIA Grace CPU and Hopper GPU architectures using NVIDIA NVLink-C2C interconnect technology - which is capable of an impressive 900GB/s (up to) of total bandwidth. It's something of an AI beast, designed specifically for the most demanding generative AI and HPC applications.

With availability expected later this year, it doesn't stop there, with NVIDIA also prepping a new AI supercomputer called the NVIDIA DGX GH200. It includes 256 Grace Hopper Superchips, a whopping 144 TB of shared (i.e., unified) GPU memory, and 1 EFLOPS of processing power. On the memory front alone, that's 500x more memory than the previous generation NVIDIA DGX A100 introduced in 2020.

Computex 2023 is about to kick off, and we were lucky enough to explore the showroom floor a day early, which allowed us to catch a sneak peek at the dismantled ASUS ROG Ally.

For those who aren't familiar with the ROG Ally, ASUS has entered the handheld gaming market with a powerful device running Windows 11 and boasting what ASUS claims to be the "fastest" AMD APU.

Reports indicate that this "fastest" AMD APU is built on a custom 4nm process with Zen 4 and RDNA 3 architecture. Specifically, ASUS will ship the Ally with the Z1 Extreme, similar to the Ryzen 7 7840U but with certain modifications and specific features.

With AI prevalent in the high-performance computing space, and NVIDIA's cutting-edge hardware pushing the company's worth to new heights, CEO Jensen Huang began his Computex 2023 keynote with a slice of RTX meets AI with a glimpse at the potential future of gaming. It's called NVIDIA Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE), an AI model that "transforms games by bringing intelligence to non-playable characters (NPCs) through AI-powered natural language interactions."

Imagine a Cyberpunk 2077 Night City open-world brought to life in Unreal Engine 5, with stunning ray tracing effects, where a futuristic ramen bar is a home to global illumination and lighting that looks as breathtaking as anything seen in CD Project Red's new Path Traced RT Overdrive mode.

The difference? The person behind the bar is bright to life with generative AI language models and can respond to your voice in a way reminiscent of real-world role-playing. And funnily enough the earliest days of gaming with tabletop Dungeons and Dragons.
