Qualcomm announced its next-gen Snapdragon 865 today at its annual Snapdragon Summit, and after Verizon and Motorola took the stage, XIaomi hit the stage with some big news of its own.
XIaomi took the time out of its Snapdragon Summit announcement to tell the world it has sold 427 million Qualcomm-powered smartphones. Hitting nearly half a billion devices is a huge milestone, with Xiaomi surely smiling ear-to-ear announcing the milestone in Maui, Hawaii.
The company also took the opportunity to announce its new Mi 10 smartphone, which is one of the first to be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. There's no details on Xiaomi's new Mi 10 just yet, but as they drop we'll report it. For now, just a tease.
Note: Qualcomm flew me out to the Snapdragon Tech Summit, covering my hotel and flights. Many thanks for the geek out in Maui, Hawaii!
