Intel's new Arc Alchemist reference graphics card has been teased in much greater detail, with some delicious new renders to tease us at least 6 months ahead of the big launch from Team Blue.

This isn't the first time we've had a look at the reference model Intel graphics card, but now Tom from Moore's Law is Dead is showing off a new render with a dual-fan cooler and some RGB lighting on the fans and side. This is the Intel DG2-512 GPU-baed model with dual PCIe power connectors -- 8+6-pin PCIe power connectors -- with up to 300W of power at the ready.

Intel has previously said that its Arc Alchemist will launch in Q1 2022, but the company wasn't clear on whether that was the desktop or mobile SKUs. I would dare say the mobile products will launch first, and then desktop Intel Arc Alchemist in Q2 2022 -- if all things go well, and there's no issues -- of which I'm sure there will be.

It has been 9 months since the world banned President Trump from virtually every platform in the planet, and now President Trump has asked a Florida judge to force Twitter to reinstate his Twitter account.

President Trump's Twitter account was banned after the January 6 attack on the US Capitol, when people were ushered in by Capitol Police. Trump's attorneys filed a motion in US District Court in Miami, where they seek a preliminary injunction against not just Twitter, but Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

Twitter, ever-so-vocal when they banned Trump, didn't comment on Trump's filing on Saturday. Back in July, President Trump filed lawsuits with the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida against not just Twitter, but Facebook and Google as well -- also not just the companies, but their respective CEOs, too.

Illfonic might be making a new multiplayer game based on the Ghostbusters franchise, possibly to coincide with the new film debuting in November.

Illfonic, the devs behind Friday the 13th: The Game and Predator: Hunting Grounds is apparently developing a new Ghostbusters game. The news comes from studio co-founder Raphael Saadiq who might've let an announcement slip out ahead of an official reveal.

"Friday the 13th is out there and Predator and we're working on Ghostbusters right now," Saadiq said in a recent podcast with musician Questlove.

Hideo Kojima is leading a new Silent Hill game with PlayStation footing the bill, sources tell Gematsu.

Hideo Kojima and Konami have reportedly set aside their differences and gotten over their contentious 2015 breakup, and are currently on talking terms. According to VGC, Konami and Kojima are communicating but aren't bedfellows just yet--e.g. they may not be working together.

Now sources tell Gematsu this isn't the case. The games outlet has heard Kojima Productions is making a new Silent Hill game with Sony Interactive Entertainment producing and funding the project.

AMD's new Radeon RX 6600 graphics card is nearly here, with the non-XT variant also thrown into some crypto mining and achieving 27MH/s of Ethereum mining power.

The new Radeon RX 6600 has been benched on the crypto mining table somewhere in the world, with Wccftech reporting that the Radeon RX 6600 has 27MH/s at stock and around 30MH/s when overclocked and tuned for crypto mining.

AMD's current Radeon RX 6600 XT is already a performance champion, offering 33MH/s of Ethereum crypto mining power for just 55W... but the new Radeon RX 6600 has 30MH/s of mining power for 50W. The cut-down Radeon RX 6600 features a Navi 23 XL GPU, with 28 Compute Units or 1792 Stream Processors. AMD will have 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit memory interface, and 32MB of Infinity Cache.

Intel's new Alder Lake CPU retail packaging has leaked, with photos of the entire stack -- from the flagship Core i9, to the Core i7, and Core i5 packaging teased.

The flagship Core i9-12900K packaging will be the fanciest of them all, which looks to be a small wafer of silicon that would be used as an eye-catching touch to the package. It would look damn nice on a shelf, and would compete with the luscious high-end AMD Ryzen CPU packaging.

The new retail packaging leaks don't show the Core i3 variant, but the rest of them are here. The first 3 processors based on the Alder Lake architecture from Intel will include the Core i9-12900K, Core i7-12700K, and Core i5-12600K processors.

If you've been binge-watching Ted Lasso and wanted to get into the world of football more, then I would hesitate in buying Konami's just-launched eFootball. The game is so bad that the developer has pretty much apologized for it:

Not only that, but according to steam250.com we have eFootball being the worst-rated Steam game in history. The game has a myriad of issues from blurry graphics to pathetic animations, with the developer moving from Fox Engine -- the graphics engine that powered Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, over to Unreal Engine 4.

This hasn't helped them it seemed, I'm sure the screenshots below will show you exactly what you need to see. Embarrassing for Konami, especially in the tail end of 2021 and with next-gen Microsoft Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 consoles now in the hands of millions of gamers across the world.

Drip, drip, drip... Intel's new Core i9-12900K processor has been teased once again -- this time, with some overclocked DDR5 memory and a GIGABYTE Z690 Tachyon motherboard.

REHWK has leaked out some teases of the Intel Core i9-12900K processor, GIGABYTE Z690 Tachyon motherboard, and DDR5-6200 RAM with 38-38-38-76-125 timings. The DDR5 memory was overclocked to 8000 MT/s from its 6200 MT/s stock settings.

At the overclocked DDR5-8000 settings, we have loosened timings of 50-50-50-125-150 for CL, tRDC, tRP, tRAS, and tRC respectively. By default, we'll see Intel's new 12th Gen Core CPUs supporting either DDR4-3200 or DDR5-4800 memory. DDR5 memory will come in all shapes and sizes, with DDR5-6200 memory used here but OC'd up to DDR5-8000 speeds.

Hideo Kojima and Konami are currently on talking terms and no longer at odds with one another, sources tell VGC's Andy Robinson.

Back in 2015, Konami cancelled Silent Hills, fired Hideo Kojima, and removed Kojima's name from Metal Gear Solid V. Kojima found a new home with Kojima Productions and went on to make Death Stranding with Sony's help. Now six years later the dust has settled--and so has the bitter breakup.

According to VGC, who has talked with members of Konami Japan, Hideo Kojima and Konami have somewhat set aside their differences and are on agreeable terms. This however doesn't mean Kojima is working on a Konami game. It's said a high-profile Japanese game developer is working on a new Silent Hill project, and it's true Kojima does want to make a new horror game, but VGC was careful to say that they are not currently bedfellows--.e.g working on projects together.

The PlayStation 5's first 8K 60FPS game is here...but it's not what you expect.

The first-ever native 8K PS5 game isn't made by the wizards at Sony's first-party studios like Naughty Dog, Insomniac Games, or Sucker Punch. No, the first 8K 60FPS PS5 game is a voxel-based indie game called The Touryst, which was previously released on the Switch and Xbox systems.

According to Eurogamer, the Touryst renders at a native 7680x4320 resolution. There's just one catch: The PS5 currently does not support 8K resolution output (Sony confirms 8K support is coming with a firmware patch). The developers at Shin'en have the game rendering in-engine at 8K and then downsampling the image to 4K (interesting footnote: The Touryst on Series X also downsamples, but only from 6K resolution, not 8K).

Square Enix has a branch of its Eidos studio working on experimental technologies like machine learning, AI, and cloud gaming.

While scouting NVIDIA's GTC 2021 schedule I noticed a panel from a Square Enix studio I hadn't heard about before: Eidos-Sherbrooke. It turns out this particular studio isn't making games. It's an R&D division focused on new latent tech like AI, ML and cloud that will theoretically power the future of the games industry.

Eidos-Sherbrooke was established in June 2020 and has a number of interesting projects in development. The studio is looking at using wide cloud networks for voxel-based raytracing, using AI and ML to help create interesting and innovative content. Platforms like Stadia, xCloud, Luna, and PlayStation now offer access, but Square Enix wants to serve up content.

Xbox console shortages are expected to last into next year as supply issues constrain assembly, shipment, and availability of games hardware.

During TheGrill 2021, Xbox's Phil Spencer says Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles will be limited through 2022 as pandemic-levels of consumer demand continue outstripping supply.

Supply complications aren't limited to just any one problem, however, and it's not just a matter of scarce SoCs or chips; the entire supply chain has been disrupted on multiple levels. Spencer says Xbox hardware production isn't just restricted by a chip issue and mentions there are "multiple pinch points" in the process.

Konami is currently working out plans to release a Metal Gear Solid remastered collection on modern console hardware, sources tell VideoGamesChronicle.

Konami is doubling-down on its AAA premium games focus and will continue supplementing its big plans with re-releases and remasters. One of these projects is a Metal Gear Solid remaster collection, sources tell VGC, likely with the same games included in MGS HD Collection launching on PS4 and Xbox One.

The news comes after Konami has shifted its development teams and restructured its divisions to help streamline and ramp up AAA production. The company is also outsourcing IPs to external studios to mitigate costly games development fees.

A team of researchers has achieved a world first by capturing the first footage of inside a Category 4 hurricane.

The footage has been released by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and it shows the terrifying inside of Hurricane Sam that is currently causing havoc in the Atlantic Ocean. Researchers used a robotic surfboard that is called a Saildrone to capture the footage. In the below image, you can see that Saildrone has a thick surfboard as a base, a sail, and a camera arm.

The ocean craft measures at just 23 feet in length and features a "hurricane wing" that is designed to withstand the force of the elements. Saildrone is powered by solar and is designed to record important data such as wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, temperature, salinity, humidity, and more. According to NOAA scientist Greg Foltz, "We expect to improve forecast models that predict rapid intensification of hurricanes."

More than 20 people have signed an essay that describes Jeff Bezos' space company Blue Origin as a "toxic" workplace.

The essay was published Thursday on Lioness.co, and according to Alexandra Abrams, a former head of employee communications at Blue Origin, the company pushes employees to sign harsh nondisclosure agreements that infringe on rights, doesn't listen to internal feedback, disregards safety concerns despite numerous warnings and creates an uncomfortable sexist environment for women.

Abrams appeared on CBS Mornings to discuss the essay and said that 13 of 21 signees are engineers and that in 2018 a team of employees documented "more than 1,000 problem reports related to the engines that power Blue Origin's rockets, which had never been addressed." Additionally, CBS spoke to 5 of the co-authors of the essay that decided to remain anonymous out of fear of job security. According to CBS, these authors said that the private space race impacted safety concerns.

Officials have warned that a coronal mass ejection (CME) from the Sun is on its way to hit Earth, and it will be here very soon.

The Space Weather Prediction Center, along with the National Weather Service, rolled back the Geomagnetic Storm Watch they had in place for September 28 and September 29 but have dropped a new warning about October 1. According to reports, a sunspot called AR2871 erupted, causing two explosive blasts of particles to be shot out from the surface of the star.

Officials have cautioned that a G2-level geomagnetic storm is expected to hit Earth on Friday, October 1. This CME is minor, and as a result of that, its impact on Earth will also be minor. But what can a solar storm cause? Small solar storms such as this one may cause auroras in the sky, interruptions in communications, and satellite issues. SpaceX, along with Spaceflight Inc and depot start-up OrbitFab has revealed via a press release that the first orbit propellant depot will be shot into space relatively soon.

OrbitFab announced the news via a press release that details the development of a propellant tanker dubbed "Tanker-002" and how and why it will be the first propellant tanker to reach geostationary orbit. The tanker uses OrbitFab's "robust RAFTI (Rapidly Attachable Fluid Transfer Interface) system" that was designed to refuel US Department of Defense and Intelligence Community assets in geostationary orbit. Tanker-002, along with Spaceflight's Sherpa-ES orbital transfer vehicle, will go around the back of the Moon to gain a gravitational assist.

For those that don't know what geostationary orbit is - it's when an object is stationed 22,236 miles in altitude and orbits Earth at the same speed Earth rotates. If an object is in geostationary orbit, its orbital period will be the same as Earth's single-day period - 23 hours and 56 minutes. It should also be noted that if an object, or in this instance Tanker-002, is in geostationary orbit, an observer on Earth would see the object remain stationary in the sky.

A former Google executive has dropped a warning that not many people want to hear, as what is being created may pose a serious threat to humanity.

According to Mo Gawdat, the Chief Business Officer for Google's moonshot organization called Google X, artificial general intelligence (AGI) poses a genuine threat to humanity. Gawdat dropped this warning in an interview with The Times and explained when he made the revelation that AGI was actually dangerous. Gawdat said he observed Google researchers build robot arms that were trained to grab objects such as balls and toys as a human would.

Gawdat said that he passed these robots fumbling with the objects for weeks, but one day one of the robot arms did something that shook the former Google X executive. Gawdat said that he observed one robot arm pick up the ball and then hold it up towards the researchers as if it was showing off what it had achieved. Gawdat said, "And I suddenly realized this is really scary. It completely froze me." Adding, "The reality is we're creating God."

Humans have always wondered if we are alone in this vast universe we call home and the discovery of Earth-like planets that are some of the best places to look to answer that question.

While it may seem as simple as pointing a large telescope into the void of space to find one of these planets, it's certainly not as easy as it sounds. In fact, it may be much harder than researchers have anticipated. According to a new study out of Cornell University, researchers lay out evidence that next-generation telescopes that will be used to observe exo-planets may confuse planets that are Earth-like with other types of planets that are similar and reside in the same solar system.

Dmitry Savransky, an associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering and co-author on the new study published in The Astrophysical Journal, explains, "Once we have the capability of imaging Earth-like planets, we're actually going to have to worry about confusing them with completely different types of planets. The future telescopes that will enable these observations will be so huge, expensive, and difficult to build and launch that we can't afford to waste a single second of time on them, which is why it is so important to think through all of these potential issues ahead of time."

A team of astronomers has identified a mystery that is yet to be solved, and it specifically has to do with a star system located in the constellation of Orion.

According to a press release from the European Southern Observatory (ESO), a new study published in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society reveals evidence that a star system titled GW Ori, located 1,300 light-years from Earth, has a disk that is divided into two. A good way to think about this is to picture Saturn and imagine that its rings were torn apart. While the mental image of this is easy to achieve, astronomers are struggling to explain why.

The study authors say that a possible reason why GW Ori has a split disk is that a large gassy planet estimated to be the size of Jupiter is present between the rings. However, that planet is yet to be found. Another theory for the split in the rings is the gravitational pull of three stars. The ESO press release explained, "Their simulations showed that the misalignment in the orbits of the three stars could cause the disc around them to break into distinct rings, which is exactly what they see in their observations. The observed shape of the inner ring also matches predictions from numerical simulations on how the disc would tear."
