Starting in 2023, Microsoft will join the rest of the games industry and start charging $69.99 for its new games.

New first-party Xbox Series X/S games will cost $70 from next year onward, Microsoft has told IGN. This includes new games like Starfield, Redfall, new Forza Motosport titles, the upcoming next-gen Fable game, MachineGames' Indiana Jones project, Perfect Dark, Hellblade II, and many other first-party games.

"This price reflects the content, scale, and technical complexity of these titles. As with all games developed by our teams at Xbox, they will also be available with Game Pass the same day they launch."

Micron has just unveiled the first client SSD shipping with over 200 layers of NAND flash, with the introduction of the new Micron 2550 SSD that delivers an injection of performance in PCIe 4.0 SSDs.

The new Micron 2550 SSD packs 232-layer NAND flash and falls on the current-gen PCIe 4.0 standard, but the PCIe Gen4 SSD standard will be here in PCs and devices through to 2026. Praveen Vaidyanathan, vice president and general manager of the Client Storage Group at Micron said: "We focused on delivering a superior user experience for PC users with this SSD".

A new exclusive report from Reuters has revealed that Elon Musk's Neuralink brain chip company is now under federal investigation over animal abuse concerns.

The report claims that twenty former and current employees at Neuralink have told Reuters that pressure from Neuralink CEO Elon Musk resulted in employees feeling rushed and failing experiments, costing the lives of animals unnecessarily. The publication claims to have reviewed several Neuralink documents and interviewed each of the twenty employees, which said that failed experiments had to be repeated, further increasing the number of animals the company tested and killed.

Reuters explains that it couldn't verify all of the details of the federal investigation and if issues such as animal abuse reported by former and current employees were at its center. Notably, Neuralink has passed all USDA inspections of its facilities, according to regulatory filings. Furthermore, the report claims that Neuralink has killed approximately 1,500 animals since 2018. Included in that total are various amounts of sheep, pigs, and monkeys.

NASA's Hubble Space Telescope is more than 30 years old but is still producing jaw-dropping images of the cosmos.

NASA has taken to its website to showcase an image of star cluster NGC 2002, located 160,00 light years from Earth, within the Large Magellanic Cloud, which is a satellite galaxy of our Milky Way. The space agency explains that NGC 2002 is approximately 30 light-years in diameter and is relatively young at just 18 million years old.

NGC 2002 contains about 1,100 stars, and according to NASA, the star cluster is an "open star cluster", which means that it has "low star density" and features an irregular shape as a result of the overall low gravitational attraction from the stars within the region. The opposite of an open star cluster is a globular cluster, which is when all of the stars are clumped tightly together, making it sometimes impossible for astronomers to observe individual stars.

NASA has taken to its social channels and website to provide an update on its Orion spacecraft, which is currently preparing for its last maneuver before heading back home to Earth.

The space agency has explained in its Artemis 1 Flight Day 19 update via its website that on December 4 the Orion spacecraft performed a trajectory correction burn that put the spacecraft on-route to make its closest approach to the Moon before it began its long journey back to Earth. According to NASA, the Orion spacecraft will come within just 79.2 miles of the surface of the Moon, with the space agency posting a video to its Artemis Twitter account showing Orion on its way to making its closest approach yet.

NASA continues to explain that on the same day, Orion will perform a powered fly burn at 10:43 am CST, which will last 3 minutes and 27 seconds. This burn will change the velocity of the spacecraft by approximately 655 mph (961 feet per second) and will be the maneuver of the mission before Orion heads back to Earth. NASA writes that on its way back, Orion will make slight trajectory adjustments, but nothing major.

Researchers are testing the Enhanced Resolution Imager and Spectrograph (ERIS), and according to a recent press release, the new scientific instrument has peered into the heart of a distant galaxy and captured its center in mesmerizing detail.

The European Space Agency's (ESA) Enhanced Resolution Imager and Spectrograph (ERIS) instrument is a 27-foot infrared space telescope that's installed on the ESO's Very Large Telescope located in northern Chile and a part of its first set of test observations, which were completed back in February of this year, ERIS has imaged a distant galaxy called NGC 1097, located approximately 45 million light-years from Earth.

NGC 1097 is located within the constellation Fornax, and ERIS was able to capture the inner ring of the galaxy, revealing the supermassive black hole at the galaxy's center. The large inner ring features stellar nurseries, represented by the bright spots located along its edge. The ESO writes that NGC 1097's supermassive black hole is feeding off its surroundings.

Apple was expected to unveil its game-changing AR/MR (augmented reality/mixed reality) headset at its own big media reveal event in January, but one of the biggest analysts in the business has said that the Apple MR headset has now been delayed.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has tweeted out some new details on Apple's new MR headset, saying that it has been delayed until the second half of 2023... according to unknown "software-related issues". Ming-Chi Kuo tweeted that their latest survey indicates the mass shipment schedule of Apple's new MR headset may be delayed through to the second half of 2023 "because of software-related issues". The previous shipping estimate was aiming for Q2 2023.

The tweets continued, with Kuo explaining that the mass shipment of components is still penciled in for 1H 2023 or Q2 2023, but due to the postponed mass shipment schedule of the end product, Apple's new MR headset shipment forecast for 2023 should be less than 500,000 units... down from the market consensus of 800,000 to 1.2 million units throughout 2023.

Intel's upcoming Core i5-13500 processor has been tested in engineering sample (ES) form, with the small review taking a gander at the performance, and thermal/power of the "Q8WH" engineering sample of the Core i5-13500 "Alder Lake" CPU.

We should expect some changes in the final retail version of Intel's new Core i5-13500, as the CPU tested is an older version called ES2 -- so it's not a production sample, or is it a qualification sample. As for the CPU itself, Intel's new Core i5-13500 processor is a 14-core, 20-thread CPU based on the older Alder Lake C0 silicon.

The new CPU will be part of the non-K series which has a default TDP of just 65W, with 6 Performance cores and 8 Efficient cores -- for a total of 14 cores and 20 thread of CPU power. The leaked review of the Intel Core i5-13500 engineering sample has a CPU boost clock of up to 4.8GHz, confirmed in the review itself.

Xiaomi has just teased a couple of its new small form factor (SFF) systems in Mini-PC form, with the Chinese manufacturer pushing into the Windows ecosystem with laptops for content creators and gamers already, the Mini-PC market is about to get some love.

The Chinese manufacturing giant was expected to unveil its new Mini-PC systems during its Xiaomi Mi 13 launch event, but the event was postponed due to undisclosed circumstances, where the new SFF gaming systems were meant to be unveiled next to the next-gen high-end Mi 13 gaming smartphone.

However, the new Xiaomi Mini-PC systems were unveiled to a handful of people, which is where the photos have been leaked. Inside, there's no internal hardware in the photos, but we are to expect a tiny 100W SFF PSU. We don't know what motherboard and CPU will be inside, but we should expect either an Intel CPU or AMD CPU, and enough room for a dual-slot graphics card.

Oh man, like anyone couldn't see this coming... but scalpers have just been screwed, buying boxes and boxes of NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards and not being able to sell them. But, the story gets worse for the scalers.

The overpriced NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card hasn't been well received by gamers, even though it offers some fantastic performance, the flagship GeForce RTX 4090 is a much, much better purchase. Scalpers thought they would make some quick bucks buying the cards and re-selling them, but noooope.

One of the scalpers purchased six GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards at launch, but now that the cards are sitting at around the MSRP -- $1199 or so -- they can't get rid of them. Not only that, but Moore's Law is Dead has noticed that some of the big retailers are removing the refund option for their GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards, so the scalpers are stuck with bags of GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards that they probably won't be able to sell for profits.

AMD will be unleashing its next-gen RDNA 3-based Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics cards on December 13, with pricing of $999 and $899, respectively. But now we have some custom models appearing in China for pre-order for much, much higher prices.

ASUS has officially confirmed some specifications -- and, more importantly, the GPU clock frequencies -- of its upcoming TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 series graphics cards.

NVIDIA has come out discussing the successful sales of its flagship GeForce RTX 4090 "Ada Lovelace" graphics cards, saying that the company sold out of its AD102-based GeForce RTX 4090 in just a couple of weeks.

SpaceX, Tesla, and Twitter CEO Elon Musk has been warned that he's now angered some "very, very bad people", and that he should be in an undisclosed safe location.
