Inno3D intros new P104-100 Crypto-Mining Accelerator card
Inno3D is jumping right into the cryptocurrency mining product game with the announcement of their new P104-100 Crypto-Mining Accelerator, a new card that is powered by NVIDIA's GP104 GPU and packs 4GB of GDDR5X at 11Gbps.
The new P104-100 Crypto-Mining Accelerator will be available in Inno3D's TWIN X2 edition, and offers 40% more mining power than its predecessor for mining ETH, ZEC, and many other cryptocurrencies. The reason it is so powerful, is that Inno3D have kicked down the VRAM to just 4GB, but amped it up by using GDDR5X with 11Gbps of bandwidth on a 256-bit memory bus that provides 320GB/sec of memory bandwidth.
This means Inno3D's new P104-100 Crypto-Mining Accelerator rocks 35MH/s or more of ETH mining power, 470 Sol/sec of ZEC mining power, and 660H/sec of XMR mining power.

NVIDIA TITAN V teardown reveals beautiful GV100 GPU
NVIDIA has officially unveiled its monstrous new TITAN V graphics card, a new Volta-based graphics card that packs a huge 5120 CUDA cores and 12GB of HBM2 for a massive $2999.
Our friends at GamersNexus have performed an awesome teardown of the card, both on video (embedded above) and in written form. I won't cover the teardown itself as you really should spend the time watching Steve's video on it (his hair is glorious, I know) or alternatively read the full teardown article that covers everything under a microscope in terms of detail.
GN did point out that the card "follows the same screw pattern as all previous NVIDIA Founders Edition cards, including the Titan Xp and GTX 1080, primarily isolating its cooler and shroud into a single, separable unit". As for the build materials of the TITAN V, GamersNexus point out that they "are all the same, assembly is the same, but the underlying GPU, HBM2, VRM, and heat sink are different".

TITAN V benched against GTX 1080 Ti: $2999 versus $699
NVIDIA announced its monstrous new TITAN V a few days ago, an AI/deep learning focused graphics card that costs a whopping $2999. In the usual fashion, benchmarks have now been teased against the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. A perfect comparison considering the GTX 1080 Ti is $699, and the TITAN V is $2999.
The benchmarks aren't official, and were posted by Reddit user 'MrOmgWtfHaxor' who said they are the results of "someone posting benchmark results in the NVIDIA Discord". The comparison was between a GTX 1080 Ti heavily overclocked under LN2 at a we-won't-see-this-in-the-mortal-realm GPU frequency of 2.5GHz while the new TITAN V was clocked modestly at 1.8GHz.
NVIDIA's new TITAN V was also overclocked by 170MHz which resulted in nearly 10% more 3DMark FireStrike scores, from 32,774 to 35,991. Moving onto Unigine's stressful Superposition test, the TITAN V was capable of 5222 in the 8K Optimized test, while it scored 9431 in the 1080p Extreme presetr. An overclocked GTX 1080 Ti by KINGPIN at 2581MHz (!!!) only scored 8642 in the same test, meaning the TITAN V is an utter monster in comparison to the GTX 1080 Ti.

NVIDIA announces TITAN V: 12GB HBM2, priced at $2999
NVIDIA has surprised the world with the announcement of their next-gen TITAN V graphics card, a new card that rocks the latest Volta GPU architecture and 12GB of HBM2, culminating in a card that costs a whopping $2999.
The new TITAN V features 21.1 billion transistors, packs 110 TFLOPs of raw horsepower, and has "extreme energy efficiency". NVIDIA explains: "Our vision for Volta was to push the outer limits of high performance computing and AI. We broke new ground with its new processor architecture, instructions, numerical formats, memory architecture and processor links".
NVIDIA's new TITAN V features the GV100 GPU that packs 12GB of HBM2 - the first TITAN card to feature HBM2 memory technology. GV100 features 5120 CUDA cores and 320 TMUs, the same amount of CUDA cores that NVIDIA slapped onto the Tesla V100.

AMD confuses with new Radeon RX 560, issues apology
AMD very silently launched their new Radeon RX 560 (a second variant) which saw some Compute Units cut from the GPU, but the company didn't name it any different to the current RX 560 which has more CUs. Yeah, confusing... I know.
GamersNexus were on the ball as always (hey, Steve!) and then had an official statement from AMD that explained what happened, where the company mentioned that its up to the AIB partners to clarify the actual product specifications during marketing of their new Radeon RX 560.
AMD launched the Radeon RX 560 not that long ago and it featured a full 16 CUs that sport 1024 stream processors, which go hand-in-hand with the 4GB of GDDR5 memory on-board. The new Radeon RX 560 on the other hand has 14 CUs and 896 stream processors, but without knowing which one you just purchased - you might buy the slower one, because of crappy marketing and advertising on the boxes.

AMD's next-gen GPUs: some with GDDR6, some with HBM2
The hottest rumor of the weekend comes from a post on Reddit that teases the LinkedIn page of an AMD technical engineer saying they're working on a GDDR6 memory controller.
GDDR6 will see memory bandwidth cranked up to 16Gbps, up from the 11Gbps used on the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti with its GDDR5X memory tech. 16Gbps will blow away even HBM2, which is fairly useless for gamers. NVIDIA's next-gen Ampere GPU architecture should feature GDDR6, too.
I think we'll see a next-gen Vega and then Navi using HBM2 and even HBM3 if it arrives in time, or if Navi is delayed more since Raja Koduri has left RTG. Also, I think we'll see AMD use GDDR6 on their mainstream RX 600 series cards, leaving HBM2 on a re-spun Vega architecture. There's no need for HBM2 for gamers right now, no matter what AMD pushed out saying HBM2 was the bees knees.

AMD announces Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition drivers
AMD is teasing its next major graphics driver software update, something the company is calling Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition. The new drivers will be released in December, but we can't say when just yet.
As for the new drivers, AMD says that Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition "is where visible and invisible have been woven together to empower gamers and enrich the visual experience"... or whatever that means. The new drivers should feature OSD performance monitoring which will be a great thing for enthusiasts, and it's something I've wanted for years now.
Once AMD releases their new drivers we'll re-run all of our Radeon RX series graphics cards (RX 480, RX 580, RX Vega 56, RX Vega 64, RX Vega 64 LCE) and see what performance/power/temp differences there are. We shouldn't have too much longer to wait.

HDMI 2.1 supports 10K res, which is a huge 10240 x 4320
The HDMI Forum released their specifications for HDMI 2.1 earlier this year, but have now tightened them and make them official. HDMI 2.1 is a freaking beast, and will power the next generation of monitors.
HDMI 2.1 packs a huge increase in bandwidth with up to 48Gbps on tap, and is backwards compatible with previous-gen HDMI cables. HDMI 2.1 supports an insane 10K resolution which throws the pixels up to a huge 10240 x 4320, up from the 7680 x 4320 that 8K is capable of. HDMI 2.1 supports higher refresh rates as well, with 4K120 and 8K60 support, as well as Dynamic HDR.
The inclusion of support for 10K is interesting, as it's mainly for commercial and speciality use - but now I want to see a 10K UltraWide monitor.

AMD's new 17.11.3 HOTFIX drivers fix some RX Vega problems
AMD has just released their latest Crimson ReLive Edition 17.11.3 HOTFIX for Radeon RX Vega drivers, which weigh in at 318MB for the Windows 10 drivers and a much bigger 440MB for the Windows 7 version. Download them here.
The new drivers fix an "intermittent crash issue may be experienced on some Radeon RX Vega series graphics products", as well as bunch of other known issues being squashed. This is what you can expect the new drivers to fix:

XFX's new Radeon RX Vega 56, Vega 64 cards not factory OC'd
It looks like XFX will be releasing some lukewarm (but hot operating) custom Radeon RX Vega 56 and RX Vega 64 graphics cards, which are identical in style and both with stock GPU clocks.
XFX will not be factory overclocking its new Radeon RX Vega 56 or Radeon RX Vega 64 Double Edition graphics cards, with the RX Vega 64 variant coming in with its 1247MHz base GPU clock and 1546MHz boost GPU clock.
Both cards will feature the same 8GB of HBM2 memory, while the RX Vega 56 sits at 1600MHz, the RX Vega 64 Double Edition will ramp that up to 1890MHz. Both cards will require dual 8-pin PCIe power connectors, which are placed in the center of the card between the two fans.

PowerColor Radeon RX Vega 64 Red Devil: real custom Vega
PowerColor's new Radeon RX Vega 64 Red Devil is the first true custom Radeon RX Vega 64 to hit the market, as it's properly factory overclocked unlike ASUS' offering with the ROG Strix RX Vega 64, or SAPPHIRE's upcoming NITRO-branded card.
Overclock3D.net has posted an unboxing video of the new PowerColor Radeon RX Vega 64 Red Devil graphics card, showing off the beautiful and super-beefy graphics card. It rocks three BIOSes, with 'silent mode', 'good OC capability' and then the 'boost clock to push the limit of Red Devil'... I like the sound of the last one.
PowerColor still only requires the 8+8-pin PCIe power connectors, a surprise as some figured it would include 3 x 8-pin PCIe power connectors for a fully cuistom Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics card.

Radeon Vega 8 Mobile: 8 Vega GPU cores, 256MB DDR4
AMD will be launching its new Ryzen Mobile products in early-2018 at CES, but we also have more exciting news: Radeon Vega Mobile. Radeon Vega Mobile is currently shipping inside of HP's new Envy x360 2-in-1 laptop, and now we know some details about Radeon Vega Mobile.
HP's new Envy x360 features Radeon Vega 8 Mobile graphics and in a surprising move; 256MB DDR4. The system has 8GB of DDR4 in total, and it seems 256MB is dedicated to Radeon Vega 8 Mobile. Radeon Vega 8 Mobile has 8 Vega NCUs, with the Vega 8 GPU clocks at 300MHz base (and should boost up to 1.1GHz)), and the 256MB of DDR4 at 400MHz with 12GB/sec of memory bandwidth.
Inside, HP makes use of AMD's own Ryzen 5 2500U with 'Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx' and ships with Radeon Software 17.7 onboard, not the new 17.11 drivers. HP is stingy with a 1TB mechanical HDD, and no SSD - even for the $799.98 price at Best Buy right now.

AMD's next drivers will include OSD performance monitoring
It looks like AMD could have a big surprise moving into the holiday season with a new Radeon drivers teased for December that will include over a dozen new features that will include gameplay capture and so much more.
AMD seems to be calling the new drivers Crimson ReLive Redux with the codename used in full "Crimson ReLive Redux I'm Still CatalystMaker v 2.4" which would be awesome. AMD, please call it that, just to troll everyone - I'm looking at you, Terry.
The new Crimson ReLive Redux drivers will reportedly rock a built-in on-screen display that shows you everything that's going on performance wise. AMD will provide you with a bunch of tools to get the most out of your system, which is perfect for those - like me - who want to know exactly what's going on and be able to record it all for... well, all of you in the world!

PowerColor RX Vega 64 Red Devil: factory overclocked Vega
We haven't seen any factory overclocked custom Radeon RX Vega graphics cards yet, but with SAPPHIRE and PowerColor close to the launch of some new custom RX Vega graphics cards, we might see PowerColor beat SAPPHIRE to the punch with overclocked RX Vega.
PowerColor's upcoming Radeon RX Vega 64 Red Devil graphics card is rumored to ship with a Vega GPU that clocks at 1607MHz, up from the 1546MHz or so that the reference RX Vega 64 and some third-party cards ship with. This is a 3.9% increase over the reference boost, and 1417MHz at base sees a 13.6% increase over base reference GPU clocks.
There is a better triple-fan cooler on a huge triple-slot graphics card, so we should hopefully expect the coolest Radeon RX Vega 64 yet. ASUS couldn't keep Radeon RX Vega 64 that much cooler with their own ROG Strix Vega 64.

We barely have more than a couple of custom Radeon RX Vega graphics cards, but on the other side of things we can't get enough of the custom Team Green card with EVGA unveiling its new GeForce GTX 1080 Ti KINGPIN Hydro Copper graphics card.
EVGA guarantees that the GPU boost clocks on the GTX 1080 Ti KINGPIN Hydro Copper at 2025MHz, which isn't hard for most custom GTX 1080 Ti cards from EVGA. We have the same 9 thermal sensors, voltage measurement points, and a full cover backplate. Power-wise we have 10+3 phase and 8+8-pin PCIe power connectors - side mounted, which is awesome.
Best of all, EVGA has engineered its ass off with a custom single-slot I/O bracket, making this one of the first - if not the world's only single-slot GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. Even with it being a small single-slot card EVGA has included 3 x mini-DP connectors, HDMI, and even DVI.

NVIDIA still the leader of GPU market, even with Vega here
AMD used up an entire year of marketing hype with Radeon RX Vega, and still I don't know anyone who has purchased one - NVIDIA on the other hand has probably barely kept up with production to meet the demand of the GeForce GTX 10 series.
GPU shipment numbers are now in from JPR, showing that GPU shipments as a whole increased 9.3% compared to the previous quarter, with a huge drive of sales coming in from cryptocurrency mining. GPU shipments from both NVIDIA and AMD are at an all-time high because of cryptocurrency mining, but PC gamers are also scooping up the latest graphics cards for games like Battlegrounds, Destiny 2, Wolfenstein II, Call of Duty: WWII, and many other games that have been released in the last few months.
NVIDIA has experienced a huge 34.7% increase in desktop discrete GPU shipments, and a nice 22.4% increase in notebook GPU shipments for Q3 2017. AMD on the other hand has noticed a much smaller increase of 7.6%, even with Radeon dominance in cryptomining. Over the last three months since, even with the introduction of AMD's next-gen Radeon RX Vega graphics cards, AMD noticed a 0.2% decrease in GPU market share over the quarter.

PowerColor Radeon RX Vega 64 Red Devil spotted
PowerColor is working on a new custom Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics card, with the fully-custom PowerColor Radeon RX Vega 64 Red Devil featuring a huge triple-fan cooler and massive heat sink array that covers the entire PCB.
As you can see, the fan is quite chunky with the RX Vega 64 Red Devil being a 2.5-slot card, featuring two DIP switches that give you access to changing BIOSes and controlling the LED lighting on the 'Red Devil' branding at the top.
PCB wise it's not much different to the reference Radeon RX Vega 64 from AMD, with the same number of V-Core phases, but the PCB is wider to handle the beefed up cooler. We can expect 2 x DP and 2 x HDMI ports on the card, shifting away from the 3 x DP and 1 x HDMI on the reference card.

AMD's new Radeon Software 17.11.2 drivers released
AMD has released their new Radeon Software Crimson ReLive 17.11.2 beta drivers, which include day-one optimizations for the newly-released Star Wars: Battlefront II, and mo re.
There's also some bug fixes that help out with issues in regards to Radeon ReLive, where chroma artifacts would be displayed, and an issues that saw game recording failing when users switched between borderless fullscreen and fullscreen modes.
AMD's new Radeon Software 17.11.2 beta drivers also fix some WattMan problems that would see undervolted values not applying to some Radeon RX 400 and RX 500 series graphics cards. The underclocked GPU memory values would also not show correctly in the UI.

Futuremark announces 'Cyan Room', a DX12 benchmark for VR
Futuremark has announced their new DirectX 12 benchmark for VR, with VRMark Cyan Room built to show how using an API with less overhead can provide improved VR experiences, even on systems that aren't beefed up with GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics cards.
VRMark's Experience Mode lets you walk through the awesomely-styled world that Futuremark has built for its Cyan Room, where you can adjust the rendering resolution and see the changes in VR. VR headsets are capable of using methods that compensate for the missed frames, which can ruin VR experiences in the worst times. This way, developers and hardware makers can do testing and run it through benchmarks like Cyan Room, especially in DX12.
Cyan Room is a pure DX12 benchmark that runs on an in-house DX12 VR engine, with the options to change you resolution and customize the settings, as well as run it on your desktop monitor or VR headset.

GeForce 388.31 drivers: 53% performance boost in Destiny II
NVIDIA is preparing for the impending release of Star Wars Battlefront II, which is right around the corner by the way, while providing Destiny 2 gamers with a massive performance increase courtesy of the just-released GeForce 388.31 WHQL drivers.
The new GeForce 388.31 drivers are also optimized for Injustice II, but NVIDIA is offering a freaking game-changing 53% performance boost in Destiny 2 with the new drivers. The second big deal here is the Game Ready drivers prepare GeForce gamers for Star Wars Battlefront II, with a GTX 1060 running the game on High detail at 1080p with an average of 72FPS. Not bad at all.
Destiny 2 sees a huge improvement in performance, even with GeForce GTX 1080s in SLI with 99FPS average at 4K on Max settings when coupled with an Intel Core i7-7820X. This is a huge improvement over the 70FPS from the previous 388.13 drivers. The GTX 1080 Ti sees the biggest improvement, increasing 53% from 48FPS to a huge 73.3FPS with the new drivers.
