SAPPHIRE is getting closer to the release of their first custom Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics card, with HardwareBattle getting some eyes-on time with the SAPPHIRE Radeon RX Vega 64 NITRO graphics card.

The first thing you'll notice is the RX Vega 64 NITRO is a massive card, with not just a triple-fan cooler, but 3 x 8-pin PCIe power connectors that will provide the card with a total of 525W of power (150+150+150+75W). We don't know what performance the super-powered Radeon RX Vega 64 NITRO will be capable of, as the sample HB received was using reference GPU and HBM2 clocks.

SAPPHIRE should be able to squeeze everything AMD has inside of the Radeon RX Vega 64, especially with all of the power on tap with the custom NITRO offering.

GDDR6 will be the successor to GDDR5, which already rips up the memory bandwidth game, even in the face of HBM2. But now news has us excited, teasing that Samsung had expected 14Gbps of bandwidth from GDDR6 but will instead reach 16Gbps.

Samsung announced the news as part of their 36 products that have been recognized as Innovation Awards, ahead of CES 2018 in January. Samsung's new 16Gb GDDR6 memory is joined by their Galaxy smartphones and new 8TB NGSFF NVMe SSD.

As for GDDR6, Samsung teases: "It processes images and video at 16Gbps with 64GB/s data I/O bandwidth, which is equivalent to transferring approximately 12 full-HD DVDs (5GB equivalent) per second". Yeah, you got that right - it can handle 64GB/sec of bandwidth, enough for future 4K/8K gaming.

NVIDIA shouldn't be showing off any new GPU technology during CES 2018, which is only 6 weeks away now, but now rumors are swirling that NVIDIA's next-gen GeForce graphics cards will use the 'Ampere' architecture.

Heise.de reports NVIDIA's next-gen GPU architecture is called Ampere and it will be unveiled during GTC 2018. NVIDIA's GPU Technology Conference is not an event that GeForce graphics cards get unveiled at, so it would be a strange move - but remember, this is just a rumor.

We could see NVIDIA use its Volta GPU architecture for the datacenter/AI/cloud computing markets while the new Ampere GPU architecture will succeed Pascal on the consumer GeForce side of things. But a GTC 2018 unveiling? I don't think so. I think we'll see NVIDIA host another Editor's Day in March-May, leading into Computex in June with its next-gen GeForce GTX series, and I can't wait.

NVIDIA first unveiled its mysterious TITAN Xp Collector's Edition just a few days ago, but in the meantime we've seen RTG boss Raja Koduri depart the company in full, and now NVIDIA has hit again with a full unveiling of the best looking graphics cards the company has ever made.

The new TITAN Xp Collector's Edition cards will be sold in two Star Wars themed variants: Jedi Order and Galactic Empire editions. They will be available exclusively on the NVIDIA store, with pre-orders opening up tomorrow. The price is $1200, just like the current non-Star Wars themed TITAN Xp graphics card.

This means we have the GP102 GPU with 3840 CUDA cores, 12GB of GDDR5X overclocked to 11.4Gbps.

So I'm sitting at my PC playing some Battlegrounds, and I get an email from NVIDIA's PR agency with the heading 'It's Coming' and a link to a YouTube video. It's a 13-second clip of a new graphics card, days after NVIDIA launched their GeForce GTX 1070 Ti, and it's a new TITAN X.

NVIDIA's new graphics card is teased at the 11 second mark as 'TITAN X Collectors Edition' and that's all we know. At the time of viewing the video had just 440 views, so this is fresh as hell. Now I want to know what it is. TITAN Xp isn't that old and is the 'full-fat' Pascal GPU, so what the hell is this new card?

It looks like NVIDIA is bringing some major styling to the TITAN X range with this shot, with some clear RGB LEDs on show - in both green and red. A nice touch to AMD/NVIDIA and the Red/Green battle. BRING IT ON.

Will you look at that: XFX has teased their upcoming custom Radeon RX Vega graphics card with one of the most unique placements of PCIe power connectors I think I've ever, ever seen.

You can see from the leaked photo that the PCIe power connectors are in the middle of the card, between the two fans. I don't think I've ever seen a set up like this before, and I'm kinda digging it, XFX. By the looks of the 8+6-pin PCIe power connectors, we should have a custom RX Vega 56 on out hands.

I've got to say, the backplate on XFX's upcoming mystery Radeon RX Vega graphics card looks HOT AS HELL. I love that 'V' logo for Vega, I just need this - heck, two, in my life. Now to see if it runs just as hot as the custom ROG Strix RX Vega 64.

AMD announced its new Radeon Pro SSG during SIGGRAPH 2017 a few months ago, with AMD's fastest-ever workstation graphics card now available without much fanfare when it launched on November 1.

AMD had a price of $7000 on its Radeon Pro SSG, but on launch day it had a huge $2400 discount with some online e-tailers listing it for $4598.99, close to $2400 from its original MSRP of $7000. Our friends at Fudzilla picked the news up by checking online retailers, where they report: "AVA Direct currently lists the card at $4,947 (as a special order), while NextWarehouse currently offers it up at $4,864 with free shipping directly from the manufacturer".

As Squires notes, we're not quite sure whether this discount on Radeon Pro SSG was sanctioned by AMD, but with a $2400 drop in price... surely there's not that much mark up on one of the most premium cards AMD has ever made on LAUNCH DAY.

NVIDIA is in the process of launching their new GeForce GTX 1070 Ti graphics card, something that is a direct response to AMD's new Radeon RX Vega 56 graphics card, and now ASUS has unveiled their fleet of custom GTX 1070 Ti graphics cards.

ASUS will have three different GeForce GTX 1070 Ti graphics cards on offer, with the custom ROG Strix GTX 1070 Ti 8G GAMING graphics card and its triple-fan cooler and Aura Sync RGB for personalization. ASUS uses its advanced cooling tech and the best overclocks for the ROG Strix variant, but there's also the Cerberus and Turbo variants, both with their own unique takes on the GTX 1070 Ti.

All of the graphics cards that ASUS make go through their Auto-Extreme technology, with is an industry-first 100% automated production process. ASUS uses Super Alloy Power II components for "enhance efficiency, reduce power loss, decrease component buzzing under load, and lower thermal temperatures for unsurpassed quality and reliability".

AMD has had a huge year with Ryzen and Ryzen Threadripper CPU launches, but the release of Vega was lukewarm, and the main driver behind GPU sales for AMD has been the huge cryptocurrency mining phenomenon.

AMD share prices were trading at just over $6 late last year, readhing heights of around $14-$15 this year, and now they've sliding back down to $11. Morgan Stanley downgraded AMD to "underweight" status, with expectations that the console busines will decline, and graphics card sales due to cryptocurrency mining will "fade from here".

Joseph Moore, an analyst with Morgan Stanley, writes: "We believe that AMD's graphics surge has been caused by a sharp increase in sales of graphics chips to cryptocurrency miners. We expect this to meaningfully decelerate next year". Morgan Stanley downgraded their price target for AMD from $11, down to $8 per share.

Square Enix has revealed the PC requirements for Final Fantasy XV, with gamers needing an Intel Core i5-2400 or AMD FX-6100 processor, with at least 8GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 760.

The developer recommends NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1060 for the game, as well as the Core i7-3770 or AMD FX-8350 processor along with 16GB of RAM. Considering how good Final Fantasy XV looks, a GTX 1060 as the 'recommended' graphics card is actually quite tame.

For those with enough PC horsepower, Square Enix is including 4K textures, Dolby Atmos support, NVIDIA GameWorks technologies like TurfEffects for realistic grass, HairWorks, Flow, HFTS shadows, and NVIDIA VXAO. Final Fantasy XV is expected in early 2018, with no solid release date just yet.

ASUS is getting into the spirit of Ubisoft's new Assassin's Creed Origins release, with the companies teaming up on the new ROG Strix GTX 1080 Ti Assassin's Creed Edition graphics card.

As you can see, it's one of the most unique graphics cards on the market (that hasn't been modded post-release), with an awesome brown/gold shroud and backplate that has been decorated with hieroglyphs.

ASUS uses a fully custom design with 12+2 phase VRM and 8+8-pin PCIe power connectors, with the same clock speeds as ASUS' current ROG Strix OC model, but slightly slower than the GTX 1080 Ti Poseidon.

PCI-SIG, the organization behind the PCIe standard has released the finalized specs on PCIe 4.0, with some highlights that impress. We have up to 16GT/s of bandwidth with PCIe 4.0, up from the 8GT/s of bandwidth offered on PCIe 3.0 - but it's PCIe 5.0 that has my mouth watering with a huge 32GT/s of bandwidth, and will arrive in 2019.

As for the PCIe 4.0 highlights, this is what Chairman and President of PCI-SIG, Al Yanes, had to say:

What will PCIe 4.0 provide us, other than just ridiculous amounts of bandwidth? As Tom's Hardware points out, PCIe 4.0 will provide the bandwidth to make cheaper NVMe SSDs possible, as they'll need just half the PCIe lanes, while 10GbE connections over a single PCIe lane would be made possible. That kind of speed is impossible right now with limited PCIe lanes.

EVGA's upcoming GeForce GTX 1070 Ti series of graphics cards have been spotted, with four different GTX 1070 Ti variants on offer from a blower-style fan through to higher-end dual-fan coolers.

The first card we have rocks EVGA's impressive iCX cooling technology with a black and silver cooler.

NVIDIA is expected to launch their new GeForce GTX 1070 Ti as a direct competitor, and killer of AMD's recently limped to market Radeon RX Vega 56. AMD's new Radeon RX Vega 56 is a great value for money card when compared to the GTX 1070, but the new GTX 1070 Ti will take care of that. Today, we have KFA2's leaked GTX 1070 Ti EX.

KFA's new GeForce GTX 1070 Ti EX rocks a dual-fan cooler, with our first look at the retail packaging. We have 6+8-pin PCIe power connectors, with 8GB of GDDR5 on-board. The usual suspects of specs with the GTX 1070 Ti, which should arrive on October 26.

ZOTAC has just announced the latest member in its GTX 10 series of graphics cards, with the new ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti ArcticStorm Mini.

The new GTX 1080 Ti ArcticStorm Mini graphics card is only 212mm (8.35 incheS) long with a full-coverage water block that sports nickel plated direct copper contact with precision 0.3mm micro-channels for the ultimate in heat dissipation. The water block is beautifully see-through, with a metal backplate on the back.

ZOTAC's new GeForce GTX 1080 Ti ArcticStorm Mini features standard G 1/4 type fittings, meaning you can use most third-party liquid cooling components. The only improvements I would've made to this is to make it a single-card slot, since it seems that the DVI port is now restricting single-slot GTX 1080 Ti goodness.

NVIDIA is days away from the release of their GeForce GTX 1070 Ti graphics card, and it looks like we're being greeted with our first leaked 3DMark benchmarks, of both the 4K run and DX12 runs of 3DMark.

The upcoming GeForce GTX 1070 Ti is compared to a bunch of other cards, including the GTX 1080, Radeon RX Vega 64, Radeon RX Vega 56, and the GTX 1070. The GTX 1070 Ti beats out the Radeon RX Vega 56 in Balanced mode, while it barely loses to the RX Vega 56 in Turbo mode, all in Fire Strike Extreme. It easily bests the GTX 1070, while the GTX 1080 is still far and away from it, as is the RX Vega 64.

The same dominance happens in Time Spy, but this time around the new GeForce GTX 1070 Ti beats the Radeon RX Vega 56 in both Balanced/Turbo modes, while it loses to the RX Vega 64 and GTX 1080, but it is very close to the RX Vega 64 which is very surprising.

The recent leaks of HP's upcoming Raven Ridge APU-powered notebook teased some potential specs of AMD's upcoming Vega Mobile GPU, but now we have some more solid performance numbers to share.

AMD's upcoming Ryzen 7 2700U will feature Vega-based graphics, with 3DMark 11 graphics performance similar to NVIDIA's GeForce MX150. Leaked benchmarks show the Raven Ridge APU losing to the GeForce MX150 by 11%, which isn't bad when you consider the GeForce MX150 is a discrete GPU.

Power consumption of Raven Ridge is going to be a hot topic, with HP's rumored Spectre x360 15t-bl100 said to feature a 45W TDP. We don't know how much power the APU has, but it's not the full 45W as the notebook has to power everything else, too. As more details arrive, we'll keep you updated.

NVIDIA is reportedly less than two weeks away from releasing their new GeForce GTX 1070 Ti, a new graphics card that is going to literally be like a bomb being dropped on AMD, and more specifically against their still fresh Radeon RX Vega 56 graphics card.

AMD's new Radeon RX Vega 56 is the more compelling Vega-based graphics card out of the three launched (RX Vega 56/64/64 LCE), but NVIDIA is prepared to completely demolish Vega 56 with the new GTX 1070 Ti. Now we have some leaked benchmarks to share, with numbers coming out of Ashes of the Singularity.

The benchmarks show that the GTX 1070 Ti will compete with the GTX 1080 in some games and resolutions, powered by the GP104-300 GPU. We have 19 SMs, compared to the full GP104 with 20 SMs. We have 7.2 billion transistors, 2432 CUDA cores, 152 TMUs, 64 ROPs, and 8GB of GDDR5 memory. The big difference between the GTX 1070 Ti and GTX 1080 is that the latter has GDDR5X RAM, which will make a big difference to performance.

NVIDIA has just announced its next-gen Drive PX Pegasus board, a major successor to the Drive PX 2 board that is found in some Tesla vehicles. The new Drive PX Pegasus board has a freakin' performance jump of nearly 10x, which is absolutely incredible.

The new Drive PX Pegasus board features 320 DL TOPs, up from the 24 DL TOPs found on the Pascal-based Drive PX 2 board. We have 2 x next-gen discrete GPUs inside (that are NOT Volta...), two Volta iGPUs, and 2 x Xavier system-on-a-chips (SoCs). There's also 16 x NVIDIA ARM-based CPU cores, 2 x Volta iGPU cores, and up to 500W of power consumption (up from 250W on the previous-gen board).
