These could be the names of GTA 6's edgy satirical websites and apps
The names of GTA 6's mock websites and apps may have been revealed, including such clever monikers as "hookers galore.com," and one site even mentions Leonida.
Rockstar is infamous for its searing humor and biting wit; the entire Grand Theft Auto franchise is a hyper-satirical crime drama that gamifies the American Dream. There's mainstays like Ammunation, fast food parodies like Cluckin' Bell, and a rip on Apple with iFruit phones. GTA V even has fake, over-the-top commercials that often verge on early 90s MTV humor.
GTA 6 will be no less offensive and ridden with adult humor than its predecessor. The first trailer showed off what looks to be a fake Instagram-like social media app that gamers might be able to watch clips on, and of course there's the classic news broadcasts as well. Now it looks like internet sleuths have discovered some of the spoof websites that could show up in GTA 6.

SpaceX inks $17B deal to buy EchoStar's spectrum for Starlink's direct-to-phone service
SpaceX has announced a huge new $17 billion deal to secure radio spectrum from Boost Mobile's parent company, EchoStar, which will use the newly acquired S-band spectrum for its Starlink direct-to-cell satellite technology.
SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell explains: "We're so pleased to be doing this transaction with EchoStar as it will advance our mission to end mobile dead zones around the world". EchoStar said in a recent SEC filing that it's selling an aggregate of 50MHz in spectrum, ranging between 1.9GHz and 2GHz bands, which SpaceX has been after access to deliver satellite internet to phones.
Right now, Starlink's system has been using T-Mobile's 1.91GHz to 1.995GHz bands to run messaging to phones in dead zones. The new deal allows SpaceX to gain exclusive use of EchoStar's 2000-2020, 2180-2200, 1915-1920, and 1995-2000MHz bands.

Broadcom secures $10 billion ASIC contract, with Apple and xAI next in line for new AI chips
Broadcom has secured a huge $10 billion custom ASIC contract from a major new customer that is outside of the core hyperscale cloud service provider (CSP) segment, with Apple and xAI also next in line behind them.
In a new report from Digitimes picked up by @Jukanrosleve on X, we're hearing that further orders from TikTok parent company ByteDance, Apple, and Elon Musk's xAI are already in the pipeline, with a development analysis seeing it as reinforcing Broadcom's position as a "credible challenger" to NVIDIA.
According to industry sources, OpenAI's new custom ASIC will enter mass production in 2026, and will position the AI startup as Broadcom's fourth confirmed large-scale ASIC customer. Neither Broadcom nor OpenAI have commented on the deal yet, but insiders that are familiar with Broadcom's roadmap have confirmed the order is indeed genuine.
The best-selling PlayStation game in history has been revealed, and it won't surprise you
Grand Theft Auto V is the best-selling video game ever released on Sony's PlayStation console, new data from analyst firm Circana has revealed.

According to new data from Circana's Mat Piscatella, Grand Theft Auto V is the best-earning and best-selling video game in the United States, by dollar revenue and unit sales, in the 30-year history of the PlayStation brand.
Call of Duty has far and away more games than any other franchise or series on the list, with COD taking up 11 out of the top 20 spots in dollar revenue.
TSMC construction workers find another unexploded bomb from World War II at its chip factory
The remains of an unexploded bomb from World War II were unearthed over the weekend at the old Kaohsiung Refinery, which is undergoing environmental remediation ahead of the construction for TSMC's new semiconductor plant.
The Kaohsiung City government's Construction Office reports that construction workers in the former refinery's storage tank dug up the unexploded bomb at around 11:30am, immediately notifying the Taiwan military. Military officials quickly arrived at TSMC's construction site, determining that the bomb posed no immediate safety threat, and then removed the unexploded bomb an hour later.
The 8th Army Corps said in a press release that it had removed an unexploded aerial bomb from TSMC's construction site in Kaohsiung's Nanzih District, with the bomb appearing to be from an "early period" but doesn't have a visible batch number or any other identifying marks on it, as it was highly corroded.

Hollow Knight Silksong sold an estimated 3 million copies on Steam
Team Cherry's Hollow Knight sequel is a smash hit on all platforms, especially on Steam where it sold an estimated 3 million copies alone.
2025 has been a huge year for breakout games, and now Hollow Knight Silksong joins the list with stellar launch performance. While the developers haven't given out official sales figures, analyst firms like Alinea Analytics estimate that Silksong has sold 3 million games on Steam in the first 3 days since launch, racking up a hefty $50 million in revenue in the process.
The firm notes an interesting trend that reflects the franchise's enthusiast, die-hard fans: Most of the people who bought Silksong also own the original Hollow Knight game. And these players also have a penchant for brutal games--the analyst firm found that Silksong players also frequented FromSoft soulslikes.

Windows 11 is getting a 'highly requested feature from Windows 10' - an in-your-face clock
If you'd like a larger clock in Windows 11, then Microsoft has decided it's time your wish came true - this is now happening in a new preview release.
Microsoft has a new preview build (27938) in the Canary channel and one of the changes is something that's apparently been asked for a lot, we're told - the larger clock from Windows 10.
Tilt! Ex-Microsoft coder explains bug in Windows 3D Pinball that hogged CPU and ran at 5000 FPS
Dave Plummer, one of the more famous ex-Microsoft employees out there who has his own well-trafficked YouTube channel, has been talking about the worst bug he was ever responsible for as a software engineer - and it was in a pinball game.
Plummer - who was responsible for Task Manager in Windows, and also bringing in ZIP support, to name a couple of highlights in a long programming career - told his latest tale in the above clip on his Dave's Attic channel, as pointed out by The Register.
The bug in question was in the Windows NT port of 3D Pinball (Space Cadet) and was present in the engine Plummer wrote around the original code to deal with the video and audio.
Finding Hollow Knight: Silksong too difficult? First patch tweaks early game to make it easier
Hollow Knight: Silksong is getting its first patch, and it'll come with balancing measures to make the game easier going at the beginning.
It's a common enough observation that Silksong is a tricky affair in the early stages of the game - especially if you're a newbie who hasn't played the original - as you can see above in an example thread I've plucked from Reddit.
So, Team Cherry is doing something about this with patch 1.0.28470, which is now in beta (on Steam or GOG) and will be released come the middle of next week, we're told (assuming testing goes well).
PS6 may be disc-less by default, detachable drive sold separately
Sony's next-gen PlayStation 6 will be all-digital by default similar to the PS5 and PS5 Pro, sources tell Insider Gaming.
The PS6 will share one of the biggest new features of any console generation: The elimination of a disc drive. New reports indicate that the PlayStation 6 will not ship with a disc drive when it launches.
Instead, the PS6 is expected to be an all-digital system upon release. Consumers would have to buy the disc drive separately, similar to how things currently work with gen 9 PlayStation hardware.

Intel getting closer to launching its more powerful Arc B770 'Battlemage' GPU
Intel launched its first second-generation desktop 'Battlemage' graphics card late last year with the Intel Arc B580 (check out our full review here). Targeting the mainstream market, it presented a compelling alternative to the GeForce RTX 4060, and with 12GB of VRAM, it was better suited for 1440p gaming. However, this cut-down model wasn't the Intel Arc B770 many were expecting, which left many wondering when we might see Big Battlemage.
Ahead of Computex 2025, rumors circulated that Intel would showcase the Arc B770 in Taipei, but it ultimately failed to appear. Although the Intel Arc B770 hasn't been officially announced, Intel has repeatedly responded to community questions on social media with a variety of 'stay tuned' replies after its no-show.
Well, we can start up the Intel Arc B770 hype train once again, as @Haze2K1 on X has spotted a shipping manifest for product packaging with the G31 tag. Based on previous leaks, the Intel Arc B770 is reportedly based on the "BMG-G31" chip, and a similar shipping manifest for packaging was discovered a few months before the Intel Arc B580's launch in December 2024.
Atari Gamestation Go handheld with over 200 built-in games launches in October
After getting to see an early version of this at CES earlier this year, we're glad to see that My Arcade is finally ready to launch its Atari Gamestation Go gaming handheld. Now, unlike the recent string of PC gaming handhelds running Windows 11 or SteamOS, the Atari Gamestation Go is more of a device for retro gaming fans, as it comes pre-loaded with over 200 games, covering a range of classic Atari hardware and arcade cabinets.
It also includes the Atari: Recharged modernized re-releases and re-imaginings covering classic hits like Asteroids, Breakout, Centipede, and Missile Command. As it presents faithful on-the-go recreations of Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, and Arcade games, the Gamestation Go includes an integrated paddle, trak-ball (or trackball), and number pad alongside classic gamepad buttons and controls.
Although hardware specs for the handheld aren't listed on the product page, we do know that it features a high-resolution 7-inch display and built-in WiFi for updating the games and software. The only drawback we can see is that the battery life is rated at 4-5 hours of playtime, which is lower than expected for a handheld primarily designed to play games from the 1980s.
AMD Software Adrenalin Edition 25.9.1 adds day one support for Borderlands 4
AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 25.9.1 is here, and it adds day one support for this weekend's big release, Borderlands 4. It also adds support for the recently released Hell Is Us, a new third-person action-adventure set in a hostile world that is receiving favorable reviews from both critics and players.
The latest AMD graphics driver is also a big one for Radeon RX 9000 Series owners, as it expands FSR 4 support to over 85 DirectX 12 games with existing FSR 3.1 integrations. RDNA 4 owners simply need to enable the global FSR 4 toggle in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition, and the driver will automatically update FSR 3.1 to the latest version of FSR 4. Head here for the complete list of games now featuring FSR 4 support.
This driver update also addresses a few issues, including one where enabling FSR 4 would cause WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers to crash on Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs. Here are the full release notes.
AMD FSR 4 is now available in over 85 games thanks to new Radeon driver
AMD has confirmed that FidelityFX Super Resolution 4, or FSR 4, is now available in over 85 games. FSR 4 debuted earlier this year alongside the company's new RDNA 4 generation of desktop graphics cards, led by the flagship Radeon RX 9070 XT. Exclusive to RDNA 4 GPUs, it leverages advanced AI hardware to deliver a massive improvement to FSR image quality. So big that when gaming at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K, FSR 4 is now a viable alternative to NVIDIA DLSS.
"By utilizing ML algorithms, FSR 4 can intelligently predict and compensate for lost pixels during low-resolution rendering, thereby providing gamers with high performance and crisp, high-definition visuals that are just as good as native," AMD writes in its latest FSR 4 update. FSR 4 is now available in over 85 games thanks to a special driver override feature that has been updated in the latest AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 25.9.1 driver release.
With the FSR toggle enabled, any DirectX 12 game with native support for FSR 3.1 will automatically be updated to the latest version of FSR 4 for all Radeon RX 9000 Series owners. AMD notes that this FSR 4 override is not compatible with games that run on the Vulkan API, so Doom: The Dark Ages and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are not supported.
NVIDIA CFO talks $5B AI GPU revenue in China, GB300 ramp up, next-gen Vera Rubin AI GPU demand
NVIDIA CFO Colette Kress has discussed the ongoing geopolitical issues between the US and China, its H20 AI GPU, new Blackwell Ultra GB300 system, and next-gen Vera Rubin AI platform at the recent Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference.
Kress said that the geopolitical issues between the United States and China are affecting NVIDIA's ability to recognize revenues made from its H20 AI GPU to China, where the NVIDIA CFO said that the company has received H20 licenses from the Trump administration, and could account for around $5 billion in revenue from H20 AI GPU sales in Q3 2025.
Kress started out her talk with NVIDIA data center revenues and its growth, despite removing its H20 AI GPU sales from the mix, where the NVIDIA CFO said if we look at NVIDIA's revenues -- including data center and networking -- there's a 12% sequential, or quarter-over-quarter growth in Q2 2025.
NVIDIA requests Samsung to DOUBLE its GDDR7 production: 'we'll double the order, so be ready'
NVIDIA has reportedly requested that Samsung DOUBLE its GDDR7 production, with the AI GPU leader essentially asking: "we'll double the order volume, so be ready".
The ETnews report was posted by insider @Jukanrosleve on X, where according to industry sources on September 8, NVIDIA requested Samsung Electronics to expand its GDDR7 supply, essentially asking "we'll double the order volume, so be ready". Samsung began expanding its GDDR7 production almost immediately, increasing facilities and adding the required materials and components for GDDR7.
All mass production preparations have now been completed, with the expanded supply chain expected to enter operation sometime this month. ETnews reports from an industry official familiar with the matter, saying: "Samsung has completed the expansion at NVIDIA's request. Mass production is imminent".
RTX 5090 and RTX PRO 6000 GPU have a new bug: need a full system reboot after virtualization
NVIDIA's higher-end GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX PRO 6000 cards have hit a new bug after running virtualization for a few days, which requires a full system reboot to get them back online again.
CloudRift is a GPU cloud for developers, reporting crashing issues with both the RTX 5090 and RTX PRO 6000 cards saying that after a "few days" of VM usage, the cards were completely unresponsive. The GPUs can no longer be accessed unless the node system is rebooted, but thankfully it's only happening to the RTX 5090 and RTX PRO 6000, as the RTX 4090, Hopper H100, and Blackwell B200 aren't affected, for now.
What's happening exactly? The GPU gets assigned to a VM environment using the device driver VFIO, and after the Functional Level Reset (FLR), the GPU is completely unresponsive. After the GPU becomes unresponsive, it results in a kernel "soft lock" which puts the host and client environments under a deadlock. In order to get out of that deadlock the machine has to be rebooted, which isn't an easy thing to do for CloudRift, as they have a big volume of guest machines.
