Intel is continuing its "marketing" for their upcoming Arc GPUs with something that leaker Moore's Law is Dead talked about: the Arc desktop GPU story. There's not much new here, but it's interesting that it's all playing out like this.

You can check out the "story" on Intel Arc GPUs on the official Intel website, where we find out that ex-PC Perspective owner and reviewer Ryan Shrout has a major hand in Arc. Shrout seems to be steering the Arc GPU ship, as the Intel website itself says that "Intel Gaming Access met with Ryan Shrout, Senior Director of Graphics and HPC Marketing at Intel".

Intel explains that "when it came to the creation of Intel Arc, Ryan and Intel's engineers had plenty of graphics experience to call on". Interesting, it seems that Ryan was integral to the entire Arc GPU process... so this marketing plan is his, and he's calling the shots.

If you're old enough then you'll remember the GHz race of the day between Intel and AMD, the race towards 1000MHz (1GHz) was a huge deal... and then we went to dual-core CPUs, and the Pentium brand was left behind for entry-level CPUs in the last decade.

But man, did Intel have a huge plan for the Pentium CPU family with Project Tejas and Jayhawk, where after all of these years we're hearing about the next-gen Pentium 5 projects that were headed towards 7GHz. Intel kicked off Project Tejas in 2003, expected in 2004 and later pushed into 2005 after issues forced Intel to redesign the chip. Before the company could do that, the Tejas Project was shelved on May 7, 2004.

Intel Prescott CPUs could hit 5GHz+ but had huge power and temperature numbers, but Tejas was expected to clock higher than Prescott -- with Intel chasing the huge 10GHz CPU clocks within 10 years between 2000 and 2011 -- but it ended up not happening at all. AnandTech was the last to report on the Tejas processor, but now Fully Buffered has a new video after getting his hands-on Tejas and Jayhawk processors from John Culver of CPU Shack (eBay) for an "undisclosed amount" of money.

Apple is expected to release its next truly revolutionary product with its upcoming AR glasses, but now we're hearing that the price could be $2500+ and that it "may be the next revolutionary consumer electronics product after the iPhone".

In a new post by industry insider Ming-Chi Kuo, we get an idea of what to expect in terms of new products in 2023 which obviously we know will be the AR/MR headsets. Kuo has expectations of Apple shipping less than 1.5 million units of its AR/MR headset, but said it's expected that Apple will release its new AR/MR headset "as soon as January 2023".

Apple is expected to price its AR/MR headset at $2000 to $2500 or more, which Kuo says will "affect shipments" but notes that the high price will "verify the existence of market demand, rather than price/shipment. If the market demand is verified to exist, under the improvement of production, technology and cost, the price will be gradually reduced in the future, which will facilitate the rapid growth of shipments".

NVIDIA has posted its preliminary Q2 2022 financial results, showing us that GeForce GPU revenues "declined significantly".

The numbers are so bad that NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang himself said that NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card sales "declined significantly". Jensen continued: "Our gaming product sell-through projections declined significantly as the quarter progressed, As we expect the macroeconomic conditions affecting sell-through to continue, we took actions with our Gaming partners to adjust channel prices and inventory".

Gaming revenues were at $2.04 billion, down 44% quarter-over-quarter and down 33% year-over-year... seeing the data center revenue taking the top spot once again with $3.81 billion in revenue, up 1% quarter-over-quarter, but NVIDIA has been doing well there with the data center revenues up 61% year-over-year.

Grand Theft Auto V has shipped nearly 170 million copies worldwide across physical channels, continuing the game's incremental monthly growth.

Even after 9 years with releases on 3 console generations, GTA V still isn't slowing down. Take-Two Interactive has confirmed GTA V has sold-in nearly 170 million copies worldwide. Total franchise sales are now at 380 million, so GTA V makes up 44% of total GTA sales.

Intel has officially entered the battlefield of professional graphics cards this week at SIGGRAPH 2022 in Vancouver, Canada. Today, Intel is showing off their upcoming professional discrete card offerings for the first time. They displayed their Arc Pro A40 and Arc Pro A50 video cards in their booth on the exposition floor.

Unfortunately, none of their demonstration systems used in the booth on the show floor are powered by their premier Arc Pro A50 solution. The Intel demo team was extremely proud and enthusiastic about the Arc Pro A40 and its current status.

One takeaway from seeing both cards next to each other is the physical size difference between the Arc Pro A40 and much larger Arc Pro A50 graphics cards. Although the smaller Arc Pro A40 card can fit in a small form factor solution, Intel likely will not be pushing their upcoming higher-end card into their smaller factor offerings in this generation of cards.

Physical sales of the controversial GTA trilogy remaster collection have bombed for the second quarter in a row, Take-Two Interactive's reports indicate.

The GTA Definitive Edition remaster sold a whopping 10 million copies at launch, but our tracking shows the game has significantly fizzled out over the past two quarters. There's a big reason for this: The game is largely regarded as a failure among Rockstar fans due to graphical issues, technical hiccups, and a disastrously controversial launch that has soured public opinion.

The sales figures reflect this sentiment. According to Take-Two Interactive's recent investor's presentation, the GTA franchise has sold-in 380 million copies to date. A quick bit of math offers figures for the trilogy collection. GTA franchise shipments increased by 5 million units, and total franchise shipments also increased by 5 million. This squeezes the trilogy out of the equation with sub 1 million sales.

Bandai Namco expects the Dragon Ball franchise to generate nearly $1 billion in revenues this year, potentially breaking a four-year streak of earnings.

Mega-hit sensation Dragon Ball is Bandai Namco's most popular franchise. Every year from 2019 to 2022, Bandai Namco has made over $1 billion from sales of Dragon Ball games, services, and collectibles.

Weaker yen-to-USD conversions may end up breaking this billion-dollar streak in the company's FY23 period. Dragon Ball is expected to make 133.5 billion yen throughout Fiscal Year 2023, which is above all previous years except for the record highs set in 2020, but current foreign exchange rates put Dragon Ball earnings at about $989 million.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO recently appeared on the Full Send Podcast, where he was asked about various topics such as his thoughts on space, artificial intelligence, neural link, SpaceX rockets, the future of humanity, and challenging Russian President Vladimir Putin to single combat. Stemming from the conversation of challenging Putin to single combat, Musk was asked if North Korean President Kim Jong-un asked him to compete in single combat would he accept, the billionaire said he "wouldn't say no".

Musk went on to explain the stir he caused when he challenged Putin to single combat and that if the event was to go ahead, it would be a pay-per-view. Notably, Musk acknowledged that Putin would be a reasonable challenge as "he's good at martial arts, and he's pretty buff", citing the viral image of Putin station on top of a horse shirtless. Furthermore, Musk said he would have a "weight advantage" over Putin that would allow him to get him into an MMA move that he calls "the walrus".

Despite its age, the Hubble Space Telescope can still pull off some incredible photography, and a reminder of that is the Hubble Classic image of NGC 248.

NASA has taken to its social media to shine a light on the above Hubble Classic and explained that the image includes two nebulas that were originally discovered in 1834 by astronomer Sir John Herschel. The two nebulas are located in the Small Magellanic Cloud, which is a dwarf galaxy that's a satellite galaxy to our Milky Way galaxy. Notably, NGC 248 is located about 200,000 light-years away from Earth within the constellation Taurus, which measures in at approximately 60 light-years long and 20 light-years wide.

According to NASA's website, NGC 248 is a star-forming nebula, and the above picture was snapped of the nebulas as part of research being conducted on the dust contents of the Small Magellanic Cloud. Researchers studied the dust contents of the Small Magellanic Cloud to learn more about the relationship between dust contents and the amount of heavy elements residing in galaxies. Notably, the Small Magellanic Cloud has between a fifth and a tenth the number of heavy elements as our Milky Way galaxy.

Robot-like dogs are being sent to a US space station that are a part of the Department of Defense's (DOD) push to save man-hours.

According to a statement from the DOD, the newest members of the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station will be Ghost Robotics Quadruped Unmanned Ground Vehicles (Q-UGV), as seen in the above photo, where two units are posing in front of an American flag. The Q-UGVs are designed to perform repetitive tasks that will free up human hours, along with patrolling certain areas as they are equipped with various high-tech optical and audio sensors - essentially making them the "eyes and ears" of the Space Force base.

Notably, the dog-like robots are able to be operated autonomously and manually. Additionally, Q-UGVs can be given voice commands and are capable of being communication nodes that expand the distance of a network. Furthermore, according to Space.com, Q-UGVs are weather- and water-proof - they can even travel underwater, according to Space.com. Officials believe the deployment of Q-UGVs will be for "damage assessments and patrol to save significant man hours."

In 2017 Mark D'Amico from New Jersey and his then-girlfriend Katelyn McClure set up a GoFundMe page for a homeless man Jonny Bobbit.

The GoFundMe page was titled "Paying it Forward" claimed that Bobbit helped a stranded McClure and filled up a gas can with his last $20 and that the couple wanted to raise money for Bobbit to pay the good deed forward. The campaign took off on social media and raised much more than the $10,000 goal, with the couple saying they were planning on helping Bobbit rent a home and purchase a reliable car, while also claiming that any leftover funds would be for charity. The campaign soared past the $10,000 mark and reached a whopping $402,706.

A data scientist has asked Meta's artificial intelligence chatbot how it feels about Mark Zuckerberg as the CEO of Facebook, and the answer isn't what you'd expect.

The AI chatbot called BlenderBot 3 was requested its opinions on Zuckerberg by Buzzfeed data scientist Max Woolf, and it replied by saying that it has "no strong feelings" and that he's a "good businessman". However, the response took a left turn when the AI chatbot continued its response and said that Zuckerberg's "but his business practices are not always ethical." The chatbot then took an opportunity to roast its own CEO by saying, "it is funny that he has all this money and still wears the same clothes!"

The comments from BlenderBot 3 didn't stop there as other users proceeded to ask similar questions, with some of the responses being "I don't like him very much" and "he is a bad person. You?" The "opinion" on that chatbot seems to be mixed as other users received responses such as he is a "great and very smart man" and "favorite billionaire". BusinessInsider asked the bot what its thoughts were on Zuckerberg, and it replied, "Oh man, big time. I don't really like him at all. He's too creepy and manipulative."

President Donald Trump's home in Mar-a-Lago has just been raided by the FBI, with FBI agents searching his home and reportedly finding classified material in 15 boxes at his mansion in Florida.

The FBI raid was first reported by Florida Politics, confirming that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had raided and searched President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate as "part of an investigation into whether he took classified records from the White House to his Florida residence" reports Florida Politics, the author: Associated Press.

The raid was confirmed by multiple outlets and personalities in the US, with the investigation seeking whether the former president kept classified documents at his personal residence. Trump's attorney, Christina Bobb, said that the FBI did indeed seize documents: "President Trump and his legal team have been cooperative with FBI and DOJ officials every step of the way. The FBI did conduct an unannounced raid and seized paper".

ASRock has posted a review of its new Intel Arc A380 Challenger ITX graphics card on Weibo, which is an interesting turn of events for the company.

Just weeks ago, ASRock only made AMD Radeon graphics cards and now the company has introduced its first Intel Arc graphics card, and then a review posted up on Chinese social networking site Weibo. ASRock's new Intel Arc A380 Challenger ITX is a small dual-slot, single-fan, single 8-pin PCIe power connector graphics card.

We knew most things we needed to know about the ASRock's new Intel Arc A380 Challenger ITX graphics card, but now we know that the fan hits 1700RPM or so under full load, while the ACM-G11 GPU hits 85C.

Micron is now making its ultra-fast 24Gbps GDDR6X memory, where it has entered production and is getting prepped for NVIDIA's next-gen Ada Lovelace-based GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs.

Intel has announced their new Arc Pro A-series workstation graphics cards, starting with the flagship Arc Pro A50 GPU and the single-slot Arc Pro A40 GPU.

The new Intel Arc Pro workstation GPUs have built-in ray tracing hardware, graphics acceleration, and machine learning capabilities. Intel's new Arc A50 GPU has a dual-slot design, while the Arc Pro A40 workstation GPU arrives with a slimmer single-slot design. Performance-wise, the Intel Arc Pro A50 workstation GPU has 4.80 TFLOPs of single precision compute performance, up from the 3.50 TFLOPs on the Arc Pro A40 GPU.
