Mel Gibson will be stepping into the shoes of Santa Clause in an upcoming independent action comedy titled 'Fatman'. Fortitude is taking the helm on international sales and will be presenting the project at the Cannes Film Festival.

The premise of Fatman, described by Variety is a "rowdy, unorthodox Santa Claus who is fighting his business decline - while a neglected and precocious 12-year-old hires a hitman to kill Santa after receiving a lump of coal in his stocking." The film will be produced by Brandon James of Rough House, Lisa Wolofsky of Skywolf and Nadine de Barros of Fortitude. David Gordon Green, Danny McBride and Jody Hill will also be checking in as Executive Producers.

Fatman's script has been developed by the director team of Ian and Eshom Nelms. Here is what they had to say about the project; "This rowdy Santa tale is a film we've been excited to make for some time and we're thrilled to have equally passionate partners in Rough House and Fortitude who carry the same fire!" Quite the enthusiasm, and a truly eyebrow raising idea for a movie as it has certainly sparked my attention. Mostly just because the idea of Mel Gibson playing an upset strange Santa Claus just seems like a movie I wouldn't pass up on watching. Fatman is scheduled to begin filming early 2020 with a location based in Canada.

Avengers: Endgame is gearing up to be one of the highest grossing movies of all time, but what about stream plays? Disney has said that Avengers: Endgame will be available on their Disney+ streaming platform from December 11th onwards.

During the Disney Corporation Q2 2019 earnings call yesterday, Disney announced that Avengers: Endgame has successfully passed a total of $2 billion ticket sales in just 11 days. Endgame has even knocked off Titanic for the second hight grossing movie of all time, it clocked in a staggering $1.2 billion in just the opening weekend.

Avengers: Endgame will also be available on Disney's new Disney+ streaming platform which is slated to launch this November. Disney will include their entire movie library for just $6.99, more information can be found about that here. Disney+ will also have all 30 seasons of The Simpsons, as well as a new planned Loki and Star War series. Pokemon fans are struggling to hold back their excitement as the first live-action Pokemon movie is about to hit theaters around the globe. You could say that some fans will be 'dancing' there way into their seat as it appears the entire movie has leaked early...

If you didn't know, Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds will be starring as Pikachu in the upcoming Detective Pikachu movie. The movie release is only a few days out and Reynolds has taken to his personal Twitter account to share a supposed full-length movie leak link. The video that Reynolds has linked to features 1 hour and 42 minutes of a Detective Pikachu.

Before reading any further I would suggest you check the YouTube link out for yourself, it is located within the entirety of this post. Of course this isn't a legitimate movie leak, but more so a marketing tactic to get that hype level just that little bit higher before the movie hits theaters. Some new reports have come out that consider the idea that Netflix's Witcher TV show has wrapped up season ones filming. It's now believed that the show has been moved into post-production.

Last week, director of Netflix's Witcher TV show, Charlotte Brandstrom posted to Instagram an image with the caption "Goodbye Budapest..." If you have been following the shooting leaks of the Witcher TV series then you would know that most of the filming leaks have been out of Budapest, Hungry. A leaked video of the set filming can be found here if anyone has missed that.

Another leaked video has been found on actor Adam Levy's instagram. The video is captioned "#Ciri and #Mousesack #thewitchernetflix enjoying #mocktails and #cocktails #Druid and #lioncubofcintra celebrating the wrap of another chunk of this epic journey." Combining both of these posts we can summarize that season one of Netflix's Witcher TV show is at least partly complete. I'm sure there would be a few shots of either landscapes, short scenes etc that would still need to be done.

Three brand new titles have been added to the Video Game Hall of Fame, these titles have been deemed to have impacted video gaming and pop culture heavily earning their way into the Hall of Fame.

First off we have Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat raised a lot of eye brows when it was released back in 1992 with its over-the-top violence and how children reacted to it. Originally, many parents and doctors believed that violence within video games resulted in the child growing up and developing violent traits, it was recently discovered that there is no hard evidence to this claim.

Microsoft's Solitaire has also been inducted into the Hall of Fame, marking that classically old games as old as Solitaire can still attract a massive amount of people. Solitaire has been installed in over 1 billion PC's around the world. Super Mario Kart which was released back in 1992 was also introduced to the Hall of Fame and it is said the game deserved this honor for the way its led genre defining experience in racing games. The World Video Game Hall of Fame officials have said they siphoned through over 1,000 nominations for these awards from more than 100 countries. They managed to get the nominees down to 12, the others that didn't quite make it are; Candy Crush Saga, Half-Life, NBA 2K, Sid Meier's Civilization and Super Smash Bros. Melee

Well holy sh*t, the Avengers: Endgame has reached level 3000 or rather has become the second-highest-grossing movie of all time. It has just beaten Titanic (1997) which grossed $2.187 billion (when adjusted for inflation) and now has Avatar set in its sights.

Avengers: Endgame has now made $2.189 billion and we're barely two weeks into its run in theaters, with the next movie in its sights is the highest-grossing movie of all time, Avatar. Avatar had a huge haul (well at least it did until now) of $2.8 billion globally, and it seems at this rate Avengers: Endgame will beat that by next week.

James Cameron directed both Titanic and Avatar and since the 2009 release of Avatar he hasn't had any major tent pole movies released, with Avatar 2 now set to release on 17 December 2020. Until Avatar 2 it looks like Disney and Marvel Studios will have the #1 grossing movie of all time with Avengers: Endgame.

Imagine stepping into the shoes of one of the most well-known and famous video game and television series characters, Pikachu. Well, Ryan Reynolds shows us how he goes about doing exactly that!

Ryan Reynolds has released a video onto his personal YouTube Channel showcasing his transformation into the cute yellow Pikachu. The video shows Reynolds applying black dots all over his face using a black stencil, this is one of the many steps to doing motion capture. He then advises fans that if they want to begin the motion capturing process they will need to send a recording of there face to an expensive movie studio to render it.

Some quite sad news has come out of the Star Wars universe today as Peter Mayhew, the actor who played legendary Star Wars character Chewbacca has passed away.

Before Mayhew begun his journey as Chewbacca he was a hospital orderly, originally George Lucas picked up Mayhew for his height as he comes in a whopping seven foot three (220cm). After the filming of the movies, Mayhew went back to his life at the hospital and then returned to play the character again in The Empire Strikes Back and then Return of the Jedi.

The last time Mayhew was able to play Chewbacca was in The Force Awakens which is family describes as "he fought his way back from being wheelchair-bound to stand tall and portray Chewbacca once more in Star Wars: The Force Awakens." The Force Awakens was the last performance of Chewbacca Mayhew could do before passing away at his home in Texas at the age of 74. Before Mayhew died he handed the role of Chewbacca onto actor Joonas Suotamo, who is expected to play Chewbacca in the next upcoming Star Wars movie, The Rise of Skywalker.

According to a recent leak out of a dedicated SEGA news Twitter account, it has showcased Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik and has also claimed that a new trailer will be released tomorrow.

At the start of early March we saw that some images come out for a coming live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie. The images were quite odd and showcased Sonic with no gloves, shoes and a cheeky look on his face. According to SEGABits, a new trailer for this movie will be released tomorrow and we should see the final design of Sonic.

Combined with the rumored trailer announcement we also get a image of Jim Carrey playing Dr. Robotnik. If you are a skeptic to image I have provided an image from Carrey's personal instagram where he said that he got his hair cut for the role of Robotnik. A set picture has also been taken of the spacecraft that Carrey is sitting in. If a trailer is released tomorrow I will be sure to follow up with another post.

Avengers: Endgame is now the fastest movie of all time to cross the billion-dollar mark with $350 million made in the US over the weekend, and a huge $859 million in foreign box office. It has broken countless records with the largest worldwide opening, foreign opening weekend, opening day gross, single day gross, single day friday gross, single day Saturday gross, single day Sunday gross, and theater averages (wide releases) of all time.

Oh, you thought I was finished - no, there's more records that Avengers: Endgame broke. Avengers: Endgame broke other records including opening weekends, opening weekends in April, opening weekend in Spring, top 3-day grosses, rated PG-13 opening weekends, widest releases, widest opening releases, widest PG-13 rated openings, and widest PG-13 rated releases.

There is fewer characters in Game of Thrones who hate eachother more than Cersei and Tyrion Lannister, but is all hope lost for the brother and sister relationship? Elmo to the rescue!

In a new and very clever video that has been released onto the official Sesame Street YouTube Channel, Elmo is pitted against two of Westeros' masterminds. The video begins with Cersei and Tyrion negotiating over a cup of wine, when the talk hits its peak both Tryion and Cersei hear some rumblings below the table they are sitting at. To there amazement they see a fury red fellow in armor begin to sit at the table with them, shortly after Elmo begins to speak about having respect for each other.

Sesame Street has done a fantastic job of reminding people that they need to have respect for each other even if there is a feud that needs to be worked out. Elmo even provides strategies for people to take into account if they do have a disagreement with someone. He reminds people to always respect each other and also to make sure to listen what each other have to say. I must say this is quite a clever thing that Sesame Street has done and overall the message of the video is a very positive one. Perhaps Elmo should be the one to sit on the iron throne at the end of this season?

Disney has showcased their upcoming streaming service planned for launch this November. The service will include everything Disney, and when I say everything Disney - I mean everything.

So what will be coming to Disney+ when it launches? Firstly, Disney will be throwing together most of their IP (excluding R rated content) movie and TV show wise. By the end of the year, Disney plans on having 5000 episodes of Disney Channel Shows, over 100 Disney Channel Original Movies as well as all of The Simposon's episodes.

Periodically over the course of the year Disney plans on rolling out 40 more movies that include National Geographic series' and documentaries. At the moment Netflix will retain the Marvel Cinematic Movies, but no doubt after their contracts are up Disney will be pulling them from Netflix's service and placing them on their own platform.

One of the most staple comedies out there has to be the Rush Hour franchise, gaining quite a lot of support over the years many fans have requested for a fourth movie to made. Nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet, but we do have a teaser from quite a reliable source.

The tease has comes from Rush Hour actor, Chris Tuckers official Instagram page. The image shows Tucker with other Rush Hour star Jackie Chan holding up both of their hands with four out-stretched fingers. Back in 2017, Chan revealed that for seven years he had been declining scripts for Rush Hour 4 but was then finally presented one that met the franchises standards.

While this isn't a confirmation of any sort, this certainly is a big hint that Rush Hour 4 could be on its way to becoming a reality. The first question that came to mind would be while else would these certain actors be posing like this if Rush Hour 4 wasn't a possibility?Hopefully sometime this year we get an official confirmation for a new movie, as I'm sure many fans - including myself - would be very excited to see what it would be have in-store.

As we are moving closer to the release of the final season Game of Thrones the actors of the show have begun doing the interviews about the coming season.

Collider did an interview with John Bradley, who plays Samwell Tarly in the show has explained how he believes Game of Thrones has changed the landscape of television forever. He says that Game of Thrones stands as an example of how televison can rival cinema in terms of ambition, visuals and more. Here is what he had to say; "A lot of the TV that comes after [Game of Thrones] is taking lessons from it and using it as a springboard in terms of what can be achieved through the medium of television and how, given the right set of people and the right circumstances, it can rival cinema, and it's got a right to be ambitious."

Bradley continued and said; "It's created a whole new sense of ambition in TV that wasn't really there before. There has never been anything on this visual scale before. And I think TV is no longer seen as a kind of poor cousin of cinema. I hope that TV going forward feels that we've empowered it to be as ambitious as we've been." If you have been keeping up with Game of Thrones and are amongst the communities that have been created around the show, I think you'd agree with Bradley's statements. Game of Thrones seems like the biggest TV show yet universe size wise, it stands as a staple example that fantasy can be a massive success on TV when done correctly.

Shazam hits theaters in just a couple of days time but the newest entry into the DCEU has already been making a huge splash in early reviews which are glowingly positive, with a tease that Superman might make an appearance at the end.

As an avid reader of /r/DC_Cinematic I'm used to leaks on DCEU movies and have been lurking there for ages and ages now, and have been flicking through virtually everytrhing on Shazam. Well, scrolling through just now I see a new post that is a behind the scenes reel from MTV News that is titled "Making of 'Shazam!' w/ Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong & More".

This video contains a few seconds with Shazam himself, Zachary Levi, says he's "pretty proud to play the only character in all of comic book, uh, lore, anything in the DCEU who, um, could legitimately beat Superman... and I'm looking forward to maybe one day getting to fight Henry Cavill. I think that would be friggin' awesome". Skip to 1:26 to see Levi's comments on Henry Cavill as Superman.

We all know the horrors of the utterly near universe-destroying bad decisions Warner Bros. executives made with the Justice League reshoots, taking control of the movie away from Zack Snyder during his time of need, and butchering Justice League in the end with Avengers' director Joss Whedon's changes.

If you forgot, Henry Cavill grew a mustache for his role in the kick ass Mission Impossible Fallout, but then WB fired Snyder, slapped a 2-hour time limit on the movie and had Whedon reshoot a bunch of it. The reshoots completely ruined Snyder's five-part story arc he started with Man of Steel and continued with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice but had his world shattered and destroyed, even worse than Superman's mo.

You can even see the dots on Henry's face for the CGI that would happen in post production. Heh.

A new video has surfaced that showcases one of the filming sets for Netflix's coming Witcher TV showing starring Henry Cavill. The video gives a brief reveal and some of the gorgeous landscapes that will be in the show.

A video appeared on reddit from user gravemaster7, the video showed off the beautiful filming location that has been selected for the TY show. Since this is only a short teaser of the location, fans of the show quickly rushed out to discover the location by comparing images to the video, concluding that the site was Vajdahunyad Castle, in Budapest, Hungary.

At the moment, we expect that the filming for the TV show is going to finish around 2019/2020 and with locations like this one in place the show is really shaping up to be using some incredible locations. If you didn't know already, Henry Cavill is set to play Geralt, the main character of the show. The Apple event has finished and as expected the company unveiled their brand new video streaming service called Apple TV+. The new service is planned to go up against that of Netflix.

Apple is attempting to hit convenience right on the head with their new video streaming app Apple TV+. Apple TV+ is a premium version of the already released Apple TV but instead includes all of Apple's exclusive content and third-party content in one simple app. The announcement of the premium version was accompanied by a reboot announcement of Amazing Stories from Steven Spielberg's production company. Oprah Winfrey is also joining in on Apple's new service, while Steve Carrell, Jenifer Anniston and Reese Witherspoon are working on a new comedy called The Morning Show.

Apple have said that they plan to release this new premium service "this fall" in over "100" countries around the planet. It should also be noted that the new service will be ad-free and everything can be downloaded to enjoy when offline. What TV channels will Apple also be including? Yesterday I reported that HBO, Showtime and Starz would be arriving on the streaming service, and each of these channels would cost $9.99 each, more on that story here. Apple is touched on Apple News+ which is the news version of their streaming service.
