This is our first look at Nothing's upcoming Headphones 1, looks like see though cassette tape
Nothing's upcoming Headphones 1 have been teased ahead of their official launch on July 1, with a look at the interesting (and awesome) design aesthetic the UK-based company is going with. Check them out:
The upcoming Nothing Headphones 1 have a sweet see-through design that makes them look like a cassette tape, and they truly don't look like anything else on the market. The new Headphones 1 like a cassette tape on a slab of smooth metal, available in black and grey or silver and white options.
Nothing CEO Carl Pei confirmed that the company's new Headphones 1 will be launched on July 1 alongside its new flagship Phone 3 smartphone at its live appearance during SXSW in London earlier this month.
China's first 6nm GPU meant to rival RTX 4060, but loses to the GTX 660 Ti from 13 years ago
China has just launched the nation's first 6nm GPU which was meant to rival NVIDIA's mid-range GeForce RTX 4060, but instead, it's only keeping up with the 13-year-old GeForce GTX 660 Ti graphics card.
Lisuan Technology announced the power-on of its new G100 GPU last month, powered by its new in-house TrueGPU architecture, manufactured on the 6nm-grade process node, which is most likely coming from SMIC. The new G100 GPU is meant to have performance on-par with the RTX 4060, but it falls (very) short of those claims.
The new G100 GPU in its Geekbench testing reveals 32 Compute Units, 256GB of VRAM, and a 300MHz GPU clock. The 300MHz GPU clock seems quite odd, which points to how the performance is so low... so much so, that we have performance that has the new China-made GPU sitting at the GTX 660 Ti levels of performance. The same goes for 256GB of VRAM, which is quite a hefty amount of VRAM.
Tesla Robotaxi service is live in Austin with teleoperators, physical staff and $4.20 flat fee
Tesla has officially launched its Robotaxi service in Austin today, with customers paying a $4.20 flat fee.
Tesla's new Robotaxi service in Austin will work in a geofenced area of Austin during its launch, with "safety monitors" inside of the vehicles making sure nothing goes wrong. The teleoperators are from a small internal fleet, which is different to what Tesla CEO Elon Musk promised when he said there would be "no driver". Sure, the teleoperators aren't driving, but there's still a human in the car of the Robotaxi.
Right now, Tesla is sending out invites to known pro-Tesla influencers, who get to experience the Robotaxi service in its limited Austin run. These invitations are extremely rare, with a bunch of limitations and requirements that include:
AMD's next-gen UDNA GPUs for new Radeon, PlayStation 6, Xbox: 20% faster raster, 2x in RT, AI
AMD's next-generation UDNA architecture has had some new leaks teasing performance from next-gen Radeon graphics cards, the PlayStation 6, and next-gen Xbox... and it sounds fantastic.
In a new post on the NeoGAF forums, leaker Kepler_L2 teased some new leaks on the next-gen UDNA architecture that will power future Radeon GPUs on the desktop, as well as the next-gen consoles in the PS6 and Xbox.
Kepler said that we should expect around 20% or so additional performance out of the next-gen UDNA GPU and "around" 2x performance uplift in both ray tracing (RT) and AI. Kepler was asked if the home console SoC setup would have 3D V-Cache, to which he simply replied with "no". Lastly, VolticArchangel asked about the GPU side, and whether we'd see 64 CUs with 6 disabled, to which he said "don't know yet".

User gets fake AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D with no CCDs or I/O die on its substrate after delidded
We are reporting on more and more fake AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processors, with the latest fake 9800X3D being investigated and delidded by the good folks over at GamersNexus.
GamersNexus received an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor from someone who purchased it from Amazon, finding multiple differences between the IHS (integrated heat spreader) and the substrate of a real 9800X3D that the user also sent. The IHS on the CPU showed some signs of being fake, so Steve tore it down for a full picture of the fake 9800X3D.
The fake 9800X3D was torn down and the IHS was heated up at 160C and when the IHS was taken off, it exposed the substrate. The IHS was reportedly protruding a little towards the substrate, giving the impression that the substrate isn't empty when seen from the side. Once the IHS was removed, it was clear that the substrate on the fake 9800X3D didn't have any chiplets at all, both the CCDs and I/O were missing completely.
AMD's next Zen 6 processors teased with 'well over' 6.0GHz CPU clocks
AMD's next-gen consumer Zen 6 processors will reportedly have CPU clocks "well above" 6.0GHz with a leaker saying he's been told that the speeds are "so insane, no one would believe" him.
In a new video from leaker Moore's Law is Dead and his sources at AMD, the next-gen Zen 6 processors are being cooked up by additional AMD engineers from different teams, with the design team that was in charge of Zen 4 working on Zen 6.
MLID said that AMD initially pushed Zen 4 with 5.0GHz+ CPU clocks, but it launched onto the market with clock speeds upwards of 5.7GHz, and that we should expect Zen 6 with its rumored "well above" clock speeds of 6.0GHz, with something similar... a world of at least one core at 7.0GHz would be a wild one, and that's something I'm sure anyone can get behind.

Spoilers: First hour of Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2 leaked online, but there's a catch
Spoiler warning: The first hour of Death Stranding 2 has been leaked online...but you might not understand what's going on in the footage.
A gamer has uploaded the first 56 minutes of Hideo Kojima's new game Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, giving important story and character updates along the way. We also get a nice bit of uninterrupted and raw gameplay footage that highlights Death Stranding 2's emphasis on gunplay and stealth this time around, hearkening back to Kojima's halcyon days of Metal Gear.
There's just one big catch: The entire video is in Spanish, so there's a chance viewers won't be able to read any of the subtitles. The footage is a predictable mix of story developments and flashback sequences where applicable as well as an interactive walkthrough that runs players through the basics of the game--sneaking, balancing cargo/weight management, shooting, and using the dynamic high-tech UI to track, plot, and travel across the world.
Battlefront II player count surges by 1100% on Steam, will EA take notice?
Star Wars fans are flocking to a 7-year-old game to have fun with friends as Disney releases a steady flow of TV shows and multimedia.
Something big is happening in EA's Battlefront II: Gamers are returning to the galactic third-person shooter by the thousands. Starting in April, Battlefront II's game population has leapt meteorically. In April, according to Steam Charts, the game had 760 average daily players for the entire month, but presently Battlefront II has 9,457 average players for the month of June. The jump from April to present represents an astronomical +1143% increase in players.
It also looks like Battlefront II is so popular on Steam that it set a new concurrent peak players record in June 2025, which is surprising to say the least because the game turns 8 years old this November. Data from SteamDB indicates that Battlefront II had over 28,000 players in the last 24 hours.

Xbox exec reiterates multi-platform strategy of playing games anywhere and everywhere
Microsoft's gaming aspirations have shifted from making Xbox the best place to play to making Windows #1 for gaming, indicating a homogenization of the brand. But the tenets of this new universal model haven't changed--take a multi-platform approach to virtuously build an expansive software base while reinvesting in your core infrastructure.
Xbox isn't a console anymore, and hasn't been for some time now. It's now more apt to say Xbox is an experience. Microsoft is bringing this Xbox console experience to Windows 11 for the first time with the Xbox Ally X, a handheld PC that blends a console user experience with a PC operating system and beefier hardware specs.
It's not just the user experience, though. Xbox console games have also crossed over to other platforms now that Microsoft has broken exclusivity of first-party games. This fragmentation of the ecosystem breaks down the isolated "walled garden" that companies used to build up their platforms in previous generations. This approach isn't valid any more because Microsoft now has some of the broadest franchises on the planet with Call of Duty, Elder Scrolls, and Minecraft.
Battlefield 6 leaked footage teases its campaign from the latest Battlefield Labs update
In a new video posted on X, we've got a look at the single-player campaign from the new Battlefield, which you can check out below:
In a new post to X by dataminer @Temporyal we've got some early footage from the campaign of the new Battlefield, which is not a gameplay clip from a playtest or the Battlefield Labs test from previous leaks. The clip doesn't include watermarks that are there if someone was playing the closed playtest of Battlefield.
The footage looks very early, but teases a little of what to expect from the single-player campaign of the new Battlefield game. We can expect a big campaign for the game, with this video just being a simple tease of things to come.

Duke Nukem is coming back, but not as a game
It sounds like Duke Nukem is making a comeback, but it won't be a new video game.
Duke Nukem is a curious oddity of the 1990s, a lightning-in-a-bottle product of its times that couldn't really be properly captured or adapted for modern audiences. The series has been all but dead since Gearbox's disastrous Duke Nukem Forever sequel in 2011, and since then, Duke has been sitting on his porcelain throne polishing his golden desert eagles, waiting for his time to shine again.
That might change thanks to Adi Shankar, the spitfire showrunner that's successfully adapting major video game franchises into Netflix TV shows. Shankar is responsible for hit shows like Castlevania and the recent Devil May Cry series, which Capcom says helped spike game sales. The creator now says he's purchased the rights to Duke Nukem, and we could see a more raw and authentic new series based on Duke's post-apocalyptic exploits.

ASRock unveils Radeon RX AI PRO R9700 Creator: workstation GPU with 32GB VRAM, 12V-2x6 power
ASRock has just unveiled its new Radeon AI PRO R9700 Creator graphics card, based on the PRO R9700 GPU that the company launched earlier this week.
The new ASRock AI PRO R9700 Creator graphics card is aimed at both edge AI acceleration and professional visualization markets, and it's based on the Navi 48 GPU on TSMC's new 4nm process node, meaning the GPU has its maxed-out specs including all 64 CUs with 4096 stream processors, 128 AI accelerators, and 64 RT accelerators.
The big difference between the gaming-focused Radeon RX 9070 XT and PRO R9700 is that the workstation GPU features 32GB of GDDR6 memory versus 16GB on the gaming GPU. VRAM helps out with AI workloads, so with double the GDDR6 memory, the new ASRock Radeon AI PRO R9700 Creator is geared and ready to go for higher-end workloads.
Twitch CEO reveals two-thirds revenue driven by viewers
Twitch CEO Dan Clancy gives updates on the current revenue mix for the streaming business, says most earnings come directly from viewers.
Like PBS, Amazon's streaming platform Twitch is very much a viewer-supported operation. Twitch lives and breathes on community, whether its social interactions or the collective of millions of viewers paying for subscriptions, donating, or by watching advertisements. That's the real message that Twitch CEO Dan Clancy wants to send--it's not just a game stream, but a "community-centric live stream," Clancy says.
In recent interviews, Clancy outlines how viewers are directly responsible for the success of their favorite streamers and the Twitch platform itself.

Splitgate 2 CEO suspends salary as studio 1047 Games lays off developers
Splitgate 2 developer 1047 Games is hit with layoffs shortly after releasing their F2P shooter, and studio co-founders have suspended their pay amid the reductions.
It looks like Splitgate 2 may not be having a successful launch, at least on PC. SteamDB numbers show Splitgate 2 had a peak of 25.7K on Steam, with about 10K players in the last 24 hours. Conversely, megaton shooters like Counter-Strike 2, PUBG, and Apex Legends accrue over 100,000 players each in a 24-hour period, and some reach over a million players each day.
Coupling this limited data with recent controversy mires things even further for Splitgate 2. The studio was recently criticized for launching the game with expensive microtransactions like an $80 skin bundle, and CEO Ian Proulx triggered backlash for a particular hat he wore this month at the Summer Games Fest.
Nexus Mods' new owner: 'mods will always be free'
Nexus Mods is now under new ownership, and the modding community is hoping the old adage "meet the new boss, same as the old boss" rings true here.
Premiere PC mod hosting site Nexus Mods recently changed hands and is currently being run by a new team, with site owner Robin Scott aka Dark0ne citing burnout as the reason for him stepping down. The new owners of the site recently introduced themselves to the community in an announcement post.
Nexus Mods is now owned by Chosen, a somewhat-mysterious figure, who has put together a triumvirate of leaders to run the site: Foledinho, Rapsak, and Taagen, as they're known by their website usernames. The team's reveal post aims to assuage community worries around monetization, ads, and premium subscriptions--will Nexus Mods be bogged down with money-making strategies?

First image of Xbox-branded VR headset leaks ahead of official unveiling
Rumors stated that Xbox and Meta were planning to unveil an Xbox-branded Meta Quest virtual reality headset sometime next week, and now the first leaked image of the device has appeared online.
In an X thread that has since been removed, an image of the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition packaging has been posted, and while the thread no longer exists, it was far too late to stop the spread of the image, as it has been reuploaded now countless times across various social media platforms. The packaging shows a collaborative effort on the product, with it stating "Meta 3S Xbox Edition" on the front, along with "Meta Quest" and "Xbox" in the bottom right-hand corner.
Additionally, the VR headset, while being black, features green accents around the face panel edges, matching the iconic Xbox green hue. Following this leak, more details about the VR headset leaked online, with reports stating it will cost $399, come with three months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and feature 128GB of storage. Furthermore, these recent leaks said that the new product will be announced on June 24.
