NVIDIA's Jensen Huang: AI will create more millionaires in 5 years than the internet did in 20

Jak Connor | Business, Financial & Legal | Jul 25, 2025 12:42 PM CDT

NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang has said during a recent interview that artificial intelligence is going to create more millionaires in five years than the internet created in 20 years.

NVIDIA's Jensen Huang: AI will create more millionaires in 5 years than the internet did in 20

The eye-opening statement from the CEO came from a recent podcast hosted by American venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya, where he shared many of his thoughts about the recent AI explosion that is being powered by NVIDIA hardware, and, more specifically, what he thinks about the claim that AI is taking away jobs. According to Huang, he doesn't believe this is the case, but instead, we aren't moving fast enough to create new jobs.

Moreover, Huang believes AI is the "greatest equalizer of all time" and gave an example, such as programming, with the CEO saying everybody is now a programmer as people have no need to learn programming languages such as C++, or Python, as they can simply ask an AI to create their idea in those languages.

Microsoft's CEO, Satya Nadella, has commented on the recent layoffs that resulted in approximately 9,000 employees being let go from the company.

Microsoft CEO responds to the 15,000 layoffs amid stellar company performance

In one of Microsoft's biggest sweeping rounds of layoffs, 9,000 employees were let go from various companies under Microsoft's massive umbrella. This round of layoffs has increased the total number of Microsoft layoffs to at least 15,300, and now the company's CEO has responded by thanking those who have been let go for building the foundation the company stands on today.

Microsoft has recently come under fire for being in a financially stellar position while laying off thousands of employees, which was a fact Nadella pointed out during his comments.

Ubisoft silently cancel the Star Wars Outlaws sequel after blaming gamers for past failures

Jak Connor | Gaming | Jul 25, 2025 11:31 AM CDT

Ubisoft was recently caught in hot water by blaming gamers for the company's recent failures, while also saying that adding microtransactions to its games actually makes them more fun. Now rumors are flying that the company has silently canceled the sequel to Star Wars Outlaws.

Ubisoft silently cancel the Star Wars Outlaws sequel after blaming gamers for past failures

Ubisoft recently refused to take any accountability for its past failures, which includes Star Wars Outlaws. During a financial meeting, the company's leadership stated the game failed due to it not being released at a time when Star Wars was popular, but that simply isn't true, as other Star Wars media, such as The Mandalorian, Andor, and Tales of the Empire, were all doing extremely well in the cultural zeitgeist.

Now, reports from Insider Gaming's Tom Henderson have revealed during a recent podcast that Ubisoft "recently canceled Star Wars Outlaws 2, adding that it hadn't yet entered full production, and the game was still "very, very, early" in its development. While this news is still a rumor at this stage, as we haven't received confirmation from Ubisoft, it's not totally shocking considering the underwhelming performance of the first game. It wouldn't be surprising if this cancellation happened shortly after how poorly Outlaws performed after it was released.

Battlefield 6 price confirmed, gamers might want to start saving now

Jak Connor | Gaming | Jul 25, 2025 7:33 AM CDT

Battlefield 6 recently received its official reveal trailer that showed off much of the single-player campaign and ended with a teaser for a multiplayer reveal at the end of the month. However, prior to the official reveal trailer releasing, a known leaker that accurately predicted the date for the reveal trailer also revealed the price for Battlefield 6.

Battlefield 6 price confirmed, gamers might want to start saving now

The leaks came from billbil-kun, a known leaker that has once again proven their track record to be sound when it comes to gaming industry leaks. billbil-kun predicted that Battlefield 6 would be releasing on October 10, and following the official reveal trailer being posted Battlefield Labs updated the website for Battlefield 6 where it states that pre-orders will close for the title on October 10, all but confirming that is when the game will be released.

billbil-kun also leaked that Battlefield 6 would be priced at €79.99 on consoles and €69.99 on PC for the standard edition. While game prices aren't direct conversions in currency, if billbil-kun's leaks are all correct this would mean that Battlefield 6 will be launching for $70 USD, a full priced premium title. Notably, the publisher for Battlefield, Electronic Arts, is aiming to attract 100 million players, and according to reports citing upper management at EA, they believe that it's possible.

Apple's foldable iPhone rumored with a new design for a premium foldable smartphone experience

Anthony Garreffa | Mobile Devices | Jul 25, 2025 1:44 AM CDT

Samsung is the foldable smartphone leader but Apple will have its foldable iPhone out next year and we can expect a lot of "magical" and "revolutionary" claims when it hits, underscored by recent rumors.

Apple's foldable iPhone rumored with a new design for a premium foldable smartphone experience

In a new report from TrendForce, we're hearing that Apple is moving into the foldable smartphone business and it is putting an extra emphasis on durability and the elimination of the crease on the display. Apple engineers are reportedly experimenting with advanced technologies including laser-drilled metal plates under the display to minimize creasing, which is an issue on all foldable smartphones.

Apple doesn't want to release a foldable iPhone without making it near-perfect, which is why we've been hearing rumors and reports about the company all but eliminating the crease on the foldable display. As for the specs, we should expect the foldable iPhone to be dubbed the iPhone Ultra, packing a 5.5-inch outer display that is good for those quick, one-handed operations like calls, text messaging, and checking your notifications.

AMD's new Threadripper 9995WX overclocked using BMW M4 radiator, Toyota Highlander radiator fan

Anthony Garreffa | Processors | Jul 24, 2025 11:11 PM CDT

AMD's brand new Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX processor has been overclocked to 4.9GHz on all CPU cores using an interesting method of cooling: BMW's M4 radiator (yeah from the car) and a Toyota Highlander radiator fan (also from the car).

AMD's new Threadripper 9995WX overclocked using BMW M4 radiator, Toyota Highlander radiator fan

The new Zen 5-based Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX processor features 96 cores and 192 threads of processing power, and is capable of consuming over 1000W of power with manual overclocking and tweaking, leading a tech YouTuber to use the BMW M4 radiator and Toyota Highlander radiator fan to keep things much cooler than a high-end AIO cooler.

Car radiators are much bigger than any traditional AIO radiator, where they're not limited to the constraints of 360mm or even a bigger 420mm in size, with their pumps capable of pumping far more liquid per second which increases the cooling process. Geekerwan used the M4 radiator from his personal BMW, which is one of the best-performing radiators on the market.

Elon Musk: 230K AI GPUs train Grok at Colossus 1: 550K GB200, GB300s at Colossus 2 coming soon

Anthony Garreffa | Artificial Intelligence | Jul 24, 2025 10:45 PM CDT

The AI industry is reportedly preparing to spend "trillions of dollars" securing AI hardware, with Elon Musk's xAI planning to acquire the compute power equivalent to 50 million NVIDIA H100 AI GPUs.

Elon Musk: 230K AI GPUs train Grok at Colossus 1: 550K GB200, GB300s at Colossus 2 coming soon

In a new post on X, Musk said: "230k GPUs, including 30k GB200s, are operational for training Grok @xAI in a single supercluster called Colossus 1 (inference is done by our cloud providers). At Colossus 2, the first batch of 550k GB200s & GB300s, also for training, start going online in a few weeks. As Jensen Huang has stated, @xAI is unmatched in speed. It's not even close".

xAI's massive AI supercomputer cluster is called the Colossus 2, and it'll be online in the coming weeks, powered by NVIDIA GB200 and GB300 AI servers, with a total count of 550,000 units. Just on these numbers alone, that means xAI has spent around $2 trillion getting Colossus online, which is a colossal (pun intended) amount of money.

NVIDIA GB200 AI servers smuggled into China, despite their two-ton weight

Anthony Garreffa | Artificial Intelligence | Jul 24, 2025 10:10 PM CDT

NVIDIA AI hardware worth over $1 billion has been smuggled into China, even the huge GB200 AI servers that weigh up to two tons, in the middle of a chip ban.

NVIDIA GB200 AI servers smuggled into China, despite their two-ton weight

NVIDIA GB200 AI servers and AI GPUs are always available on Chinese black markets, with a new report from the Financial Times claiming that over $1 billion of AI hardware has ended up on China's AI black markets since the US government imposed strict export controls, including NVIDIA GB200 AI servers.

The Financial Times has had eyes-on with multiple sales contracts and filings, revealing that China's AI black markets are most interested in the NVIDIA GB200 AI servers, and that they're available in local markets. The US government banned the H20 AI GPU and quickly after the H20 banned, distributors were still getting their hands on them through multiple means: trade loopholes or grey channels that haven't been fixed by the US government.

Intel to slice and dice a huge 30% of its global workforce: over 15,000 jobs to be slashed

Anthony Garreffa | Business, Financial & Legal | Jul 24, 2025 9:09 PM CDT

Intel is planning more layoffs that will reduce its global workforce down from 90,000 to 75,000 in a new move from CEO Lip-Bu Tan.

Intel to slice and dice a huge 30% of its global workforce: over 15,000 jobs to be slashed

Intel had 108,900 employees as of December 2024, with plans to end 2025 with around 75,000 employees through layoffs and attrition, which results in a 24.6% decrease in its staffers after plans of 15,000+ new job cuts in the coming weeks and months.

Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan said in a statement: "Our operating performance demonstrates the initial progress we are making to improve our execution and drive greater efficiency. We are laser-focused on strengthening our core product portfolio and our AI roadmap to better serve customers. We are also taking the actions needed to build a more financially disciplined foundry. It's going to take time, but we see clear opportunities to enhance our competitive position, improve our profitability and create long-term shareholder value".

PlayStation 6 specs leak update: AMD Robin APU teased with powerful RDNA 5 GPU, Zen 6 CPU

Anthony Garreffa | Gaming | Jul 24, 2025 8:35 PM CDT

Sony's next-generation PlayStation 6 console will feature a semi-custom APU from AMD, just like the PS5 and PS5 Pro, but will reportedly pack next-gen Zen 6 CPU cores and RDNA 5 GPU cores.

PlayStation 6 specs leak update: AMD Robin APU teased with powerful RDNA 5 GPU, Zen 6 CPU

In his latest video, Tom from Moore's Law is Dead leaks out new codename Robin and Robin+ APUs that are both characters from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. This might seem like much, but the PS5 has a chip codenamed Oberon, who is also a character from A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Robin and Robin+ APUs are in development at AMD and are in the same family of products as Oberon (launch PS5) and Oberon+ (PS5 6nm). MLID notes that Robin might either be the APU that AMD is working on for the PS6 or the actual codename of the PS6 handheld itself.

AMD's next-gen RDNA 5 GPU leak: Radeon RX 10900 XT has 36GB GDDR7, TSMC 3nm, RTX 6090 killer

Anthony Garreffa | Graphics Cards | Jul 24, 2025 7:18 PM CDT

AMD's next-gen RDNA 5-based flagship Radeon RX 10900 XT graphics card will reportedly sport a huge 154 CUs, 36GB of GDDR7 memory with 1.7TB/sec memory bandwidth, and will have performance that will rival NVIDIA's next-gen GeForce RTX 6090 graphics card.

AMD's next-gen RDNA 5 GPU leak: Radeon RX 10900 XT has 36GB GDDR7, TSMC 3nm, RTX 6090 killer

In his latest video, Tom from Moore's Law is Dead reports on his latest leaks that would see the Radeon RX 10900 XT (or whatever it is called, but the RX 10900 XT sounds fantastic). We are looking at the "AT0" die that will feature a huge 154 Compute Units of RDNA 5 GPU power, 40MB of L2 cache, a 380W TDP, and 36GB of GDDR7 memory clocked at 36Gbps on a 384-bit memory bus that would pump out 1.728TB/sec of memory bandwidth.

This would result in AMD's next-gen Radeon RX 10900 XT graphics card competing with NVIDIA's next-gen GeForce RTX 6090, meaning the company is aiming for its new RDNA 5 flagship GPU to be faster than the current RTX 5090, which is something all gamers want to hear. These are just estimates in performance so things can change obviously.

Secretlab unveils Otto: adjustable leg rest for Secretlab's family of office and gaming chairs

Anthony Garreffa | Gaming | Jul 24, 2025 6:12 PM CDT

Secretlab has unveiled something totally new today with the introduction of its new Otto, which is exactly what it sounds like: a Secretlab-style ottoman to rest your legs on while you're gaming or working. Check it out:

Secretlab unveils Otto: adjustable leg rest for Secretlab's family of office and gaming chairs

The new Secretlab Otto leg rest has been designed to work with the company's family of gaming and office chairs, with 8cm of height adjustment and a 30-degree tilt adjustment, with a height between 39-47cm. It works with all of Secretlab's chairs, sporting a PlushCell Memory Foam and the same pebble-shaped cushion as its gaming chairs, making sure your legs are comfortable in multiple different positions.

There aren't any wheels on the Otto with the base of the leg rest made from glass-reinforced nylon, as opposed to steel, which means the Secretlab Otto isn't too heavy, and can be easily moved around. There are felt pads under the feet of the Otto, which make the leg rest easier to reposition when needed.

Samsung shot itself in the foot in 2018 when it turned down NVIDIA's Jensen Huang

Jak Connor | Business, Financial & Legal | Jul 24, 2025 1:02 PM CDT

Samsung was approached by NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang in 2018 to enter into a long-term collaboration, but the Korean tech giant turned Huang down in what might be one of its most regrettable decisions in recent memory.

A new report by Korean media has revealed that Samsung turned down an offer by Huang for a long-term collaboration on joint HBM development, which included a partnership with the foundry business and work on the CUDA ecosystem together. Fast forward to today, Samsung's semiconductor and HBM businesses aren't looking very healthy at all, with reports saying that both are operating at a loss and are unable to maintain healthy yields or pick up on market trends.

The report states that NVIDIA had the forward-thinking to know that HBM development was going to be integral for the future and approached Samsung to be its supplier due to how prominent the company is in the DRAM and NAND chip spaces.

China's somehow magicked up a GPU to rival NVIDIA's RTX 5060, and the Lisuan G100 has 12GB VRAM

Darren Allan | Graphics Cards | Jul 24, 2025 11:10 AM CDT

Not so long ago, GPUs made in China were something of a spectacle, boasting performance levels that meant they weren't taken seriously - but some serious progress has seemingly been made with the Lisuan G100.

China's somehow magicked up a GPU to rival NVIDIA's RTX 5060, and the Lisuan G100 has 12GB VRAM

As you may recall, just a month ago, the Lisuan G100's performance couldn't match the NVIDIA GTX 660 Ti, but now the board is apparently faster than the RTX 4060, and not too far off the RTX 5060.

That's based on a reported Geekbench OpenCL run (as flagged by Benchleaks, add your own salt) where the still-unreleased G100 scored 111,290 points (being run in conjunction with a Ryzen 5 7600 processor).
