Rockstar leaker says GTA IV port could drop 'later this year', with Max Payne 3 to follow
To ease the pain of GTA VI being delayed to May 2026, reputable Rockstar leaker, Tez2, has hinted that a modern Grand Theft Auto IV port could arrive as early as this year, with Max Payne 3 to potentially follow suit.
Per the GTA Forums, Tez wrote that "someone at [Rockstar] hinted at the IV port, and by now it should've gone up a year in development." He highlighted that we could see the project drop as early as this year, and that if Rockstar's previous plans are any indication, Max Payne 3 will be next in line.
Naughty Dog is expecting gamers to hate on their newest game
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Tati Gabriella, the lead actress playing Jordan Mun, the star of Naughty Dog's next big title, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, touched on how the developer and more specifically, Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann, is anticipating gamers to lash out about the new title.
Gabriella said during the interview that she is undergoing "bootcamp-ing" in preparation for the release of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The lead actress and Naughty Dog are anticipating a tirade of "hate" from gamers criticising the design choices for the lead character, as gamers have already begun criticizing the game following the reveal of the title in December 2024 at The Game Awards.

Bill Gates says Elon Musk is responsible for killing the world's poorest children
Bill Gates has said that Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is responsible for "killing the world's poorest children" through his cuts to US development assistance.
In a new interview with the Financial Times, Microsoft founder Bill Gates has come out against Elon Musk for the decision made by the group the Tesla CEO formed, called the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is tasked with cutting over-spending throughout the US government. According to reports, DOGE shut down the US Agency for International Development in February, which Gates says has left life-saving food and medicines expiring in warehouses, resulting in the resurgence of diseases such as measles, HIV, and polio.
Nintendo is allowed to brick your Switch 2 if it catches you modding it
Nintendo has quietly changed its user agreement to give it the right to permanently disable a Nintendo Switch 2 console if it detects it has been modded or hacked. Yes, Nintendo can and will brick your console if you try to mod it.
In a new update to its user agreement, Nintendo has stated that by agreeing to its policies, a user acknowledges that if they fail to comply with stated restrictions, Nintendo can respond by making the "applicable Nintendo device permanently unusable in whole or in part," along with the "Nintendo Account Services". Notably, this is the first time since 2021 Nintendo has updated its user agreement, which previously warned users against "reverse-engineer or modify[ing]" their console or account.
It's hardly surprising that Nintendo is cracking down on modding or privacy now, as the company is preparing for the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, which is scheduled to become available on June 5. Moreover, the Switch 2 marks a significant step away from physical cartridges, as the company is debuting Game Card Keys with the new console - physical cartridges that don't contain any game data, but instead a key that enables a user to download the game when slotted inside the console.
NVIDIA could have 2nm AI GPUs fabbed at Samsung Foundry, diversifying AI chip orders with TSMC
Samsung Electronics has its Samsung Foundry semiconductor division conducting process evaluations with NVIDIA and Qualcomm to secure orders for its next-gen 2nm process node.
We had rumors from early January 2025 that said NVIDIA and Qualcomm were considering Samsung Foundry and its new 2nm process, but in a new report from Korean media outlet Chosun, we're hearing Samsung Foundry is expected to enter the final stage of 2nm process performance evaluation for NVIDIA GPUs and Qualcomm mobile processors "soon".
Chosen spoke with a semiconductor industry insider, who said: "with geopolitical risks in the Taiwan Strait intensifying by the day, global big tech companies cannot rely solely on TSMC for production. While yields were lower than expected initially, recent evaluations have produced positive results". Samsung Foundry has been struggling for years now, with TSMC absolutely dominating the semiconductor space and now Intel with billions of dollars worth of ASML's bleeding-edge High-NA EUV lithography machines, Samsung needs all the clients (and big ones like NVIDIA and Qualcomm) as it can get.
Apple could order a chunky $60 billion worth of chips from TSMC in 2025 alone says analyst
Apple is expected to order up to $60 billion worth of chips from TSMC in 2025 alone according to analysts, which will push the Taiwanese semiconductor leader to over NT $1 trillion of revenue this year.
The analysis is based on how much of TSMC's share in Apple's products is growing, with TSMC's new Arizona, USA-based semiconductor fabs to play a key role in Apple's continued releases of iProducts. Apple CEO Tim Cook has been adamant that his company is TSMC Arizona's largest customer, with its bleeding-edge 2nm process node being a key part of increasing the value of Apple's orders with TSMC.
In a new report from Taiwan's Economic Daily, we're hearing that analysts think that new 2nm orders from Apple should reach around NT $1 trillion (around $33 billion USD or so) in 2025, and that's just for new 2nm orders. TSMC earned around $90 billion of revenue in 2024, with revenue growth expected for TSMC coming from an increase in pricing across Apple's entire product stack since TSMC Is the sole semiconductor provider.

This also applies to certain laptops with those same Blackwell GPUs.
TikTok's latest dangerous trend is sticking paperclips in school Chromebooks or power outlets
TikTok trends can be idiotic, or downright dangerous, at times - as you may have noticed - and here's one that definitely falls into the latter category: jamming a paperclip into a port on your Chromebook.
The 'Chromebook Challenge' has become a trend after some influencers on the social media site promoted the idea, and according to Axios (as flagged up by Wccftech), it has caught on with some students in the US.
Basically, it's kids messing with the Chromebook given to them by the school, inserting random objects into the ports, mostly bits of metal like a paperclip, pushpin or piece of foil.
Tony Hawk 'has aspirations' for an Underground Remaster, but it's up to Activision
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 has been making headlines, with Bam Margera confirmed to be returning after a campaign led by Hawk himself. However, that's not the only project Hawk has in mind - with reports suggesting he's also pushing for a remaster of the Tony Hawk's Underground series.
In a discussion with Screen Rant, Hawk was asked about his hopes for a THUG remaster:
Fallout TV star says the series has a 'season five, season six type of endpoint'
With Fallout Season 2 wrapping production, fans are naturally eager for the next chapter in the series' post-apocalyptic saga. Aaron Moten, who plays Brotherhood of Steel soldier Maximus in the TV series, has shared some promising signs about the show's expected longevity.
When asked at Comic-Con about the broader direction of the series, Moten explained that from the moment he signed on, there was a clear starting point and endpoint already mapped out:
TSMC fab prices in the US surge, with NVIDIA GPU price rises for GeForce RTX and AI GPUs
TSMC has reportedly increased its wafer costs at its US-based semiconductor plants, with NVIDIA GPU prices expected to "rise across the board" with both gaming and AI GPU price rises on the way.
In a new post by insider @Jukanlosreve on X, DigiTimes supply chain sources have said NVIDIA is "facing multiple crises" with a reported $5.5 billion write-down on its Q1 2025 earnings thanks to the ban on its H20 AI GPUs entering China seeing CEO Jensen Huang running between the US and China to cull the impact and help pursuading the Trump administration to chill on its AI chip restrictions.
In order to maintain stable profitability, NVIDIA has reportedly raised official prices for almost "all of its products" allowing its partners to increase prices accordingly. NVIDIA launched its high-end GeForce RTX 5090 earlier this year, with custom ASUS variants launching for around NT $90,000 but surging past NT $100,000 through distribution channels, an increase of over 10%. Meanwhile, Hopper H200 and Blackwell B200 AI GPU modules and server prices have also increased.

MSI to unveil the world's first 500Hz QD-OLED gaming monitor
MSI is about to level up the gaming monitor market with the world's first 500Hz QD-OLED gaming monitor. The company touts its 4th-gen QD-OLED technology in this latest model, and e-Sports gamers, be ready to open your wallets because this one is for you.
MSI has informed me that it's preparing to launch the MSI 272QP X50 QD-OLED 500Hz gaming monitor, which features the company's new bleeding-edge pixel technology that pushes the refresh rate of QD-OLED panels to new heights. MSI says this monitor is the "world's fastest QD-OLED" display, rocking 20% brighter at 100% APL performance, a 2560 x 1440p resolution, 0.03ms (GtG) response time, and G-Sync compatibility.
How much of a game-changer the MSI 272QP X50 will be shouldn't be understated. Here's a quick explainer as to why. Motion clarity at 500Hz is going to be crystal clear due to the lack of time each frame is being shown on-screen. For example, at 500Hz the screen refreshes every 2 milliseconds (1000ms / 500), compared to 60Hz where the frame lingers for 16.7ms. Why does this matter? Blur is caused by eye movement and frame holding.

Apple's 20th anniversary iPhone in 2027: all-screen design, no bezels, under-display camera
Apple is ramping up into the 20th anniversary of the iPhone with a bunch of new products, including the foldable iPhone Ultra and a new 2027 iPhone rumored with a major design overhaul.
In his latest Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman explains that Apple'ls new design is "extraordinarily complex" with the 2027 iPhone being so complex, that it can ONLY be manufactured in China using its state-of-the-art production techniques, even though Apple has been slowly moving iPhone production into India and Vietnam.
We heard rumors of the new 2027 iPhone last month, but Gurman says that the new iPhone will feature a truly edge-to-edge display with the front-facing camera and FaceID system placed under the display, completely eliminating the cutouts on the iPhone. Not just that, but we can expect virtually no bezels, which will make the new iPhone look super-slick in the years to come.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 sees a brief resurgance, with most players since 2021
Amidst the buzz from May the Fourth, Andor Season 2, and Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith returning to theatres, there's been a brief uptick in player counts for EA's Star Wars: Battlefront 2.
Star Wars: Battlefront 2, widely remembered for its controversial launch, has re-attracted a small core of players to the title. As of May 11, 2025, the game peaked at 5,942 players on SteamDB. The highest on PC since January 2021, when the Celebration Edition of the game released on Steam with 10,849 players.
Battlefront 2 received its last update five years ago with the Battle of Scarif, which was added to the game in April 2020. The game was initially slated to operate on a live service model, but the game's aggressive microtransactions and "pride and accomplishment" caused irreparable damage to the game's reputation.
NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 AI server shipments: 1500 units in April, compared to 1000 units in Q1 2025
NVIDIA's new BG200 NVL72 AI server cabinet rack output increased throughout April 2025, with 1500 units shipped in April alone, compared to 1000 units shipped during the entire Q1 2025 period from January to March 2025.
New reports suggest that industry-wide NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 server racks reached 1500 units in April versus 1000 units in Q1 2025, with Quanta shipping 300-400 GB200 racks in April, Wistron shipping 150-150 GB200 racks, and Hon Hai shipping 1000 GB200 racks, all in April alone.
This report focuses on the Taiwanese industry, not counting what Dell, HPP, and Supermicro are all pumping out in terms of NVIDIA GB200 NVL72 AI server racks, which would increase these numbers again. Insider @Jukanlosreve reported the numbers, stating that they're from a US brokerage firm, so there is no link to this report other than what is on the X post.
Ori studio says it 'might not be around' in a few months due to review-bombing
Moon Studios, the developers behind the acclaimed Ori series, is facing financial difficulties as it prepares to release its latest ARPG, No Rest for the Wicked.
As outlined in a recent forum post, Moon Studios has been struggling to cover development costs due to negative reviews affecting sales. Studio head Thomas Mahler highlighted, "in people's mind, there's always some big publisher in the background who'll cover costs". However, in the case of Moon Studios, negotiations with its former publisher saw the team go fully independent in March 2025 - leaving the studio without a financial backer.
No Rest for the Wicked launched in early access on April 19, 2025. The game accumulated just under 15,000 reviews, with a 69% positive rating in its first week. Many players praised the game's art style and cinematic presentation, but criticisms mounted due to the game's "needless" difficulty, performance issues, and general frustrations around the experience.

Kingdom Come II gets a packed May 15 update - first major DLC, horse-racing & more
It's been a while since Kingdom Come: Deliverance II's last major content update, Hardcore Mode, arrived on April 13. The team at Warhorse Studios has been cooking up something big, and we can confirm that the game's first DLC, Brushes with Death, will be launching May 15.
As shared on X, the new DLC starts when Henry encounters a mysterious painter tied up in the woods. From there, the story unravels, centered around "a skull, a secret, and a painter with a past."
Warhorse Studios has been tight-lipped about the story in Brushes with Death, leaving us only with a summary of how the story begins. The DLC, bound to contain twists and turns, is the game's first major story expansion. It follows several updates in March and April, including barber mode and hardcore mode, which were released as free DLC. The remaining roadmap, which includes Brushes With Death, and Legacy of the Forge DLC, now focuses on paid expansion content.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is on sale for the first time, prior to upcoming DLC launch
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II has gone on sale for the first time, with a 15% discount available until the game's first DLC, Brushes with Death, releases May 15.
As highlighted in a recent news bulletin, the current Steam sale is the first time Kingdom Come: Deliverance II has been discounted. Players can jump into the standard edition for $50.99, saving $9.00 on Steam. The Gold Edition, which includes the gallant Huntsman's Kit, three upcoming expansions, and Shields of Seasons Passing, is available at $67.99 - down from $79.99 USD.
Since the game's first DLC, Brushes with Death, is slated to release on May 15, the sale encourages players to "get a head start" before the new in-game content drops. The new DLC content begins when Henry encounters a mysterious painter tied up to a post in the woods, after which the story centered around "a skull, a secret, and the past" unravels.
