We reported back in June that the once mooted two Independence Day sequels, once referred to as ID Forever Parts 1 and 2, but announced as Independence Day 2 was being released to theaters in July 2015.

Well fast forward just a few months later and the situation is a little different. Perhaps to move it away from a blockbuster year including Star Wars Episode VII, The Avengers 2, and Jurassic Park 4, but more likely to give the production, including the writing/directing team of Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin more time to set the project up, Twentieth Century Fox have delayed the project by a whole year - now blasting screens on July 1 2016.

Whilst there is still no confirmation on whether original star Will Smith will return in his role as fighter pilot Captain Steven Hiller, but the word is that two scripts have been written - one with and without the role. Talk about hedging your bets!

Following the announcement earlier this year that Sony Pictures has picked up the rights for the debut Angry Birds feature film, comes the announcement of the Australian Blu-ray release of the first volume of Angry Birds Toons, previously accessible through the Angry Birds app, or on pay TV.

Whilst Sony Pictures Australia have not detailed the discs specifications, look for the set to feature the first 26 episodes with 1080p vision, along with behind the scenes featurettes, an art gallery and a special Christmas themed episode. Look for the first volume to hit Blu-ray shelves on December 5th.

Rovio's franchise continues to go from strength to strength and has truly taken the world by storm, including much publicized tie-ins with established franchises, including Star Wars and tons of merchandising taking over stores.

Our "Win a trip to Computex Taipei 2012" contest is off to a good start, but what we forgot to do when first announcing the contest was to confirm an end date.

Following up the release of G.SKILL's new extreme TridentX DDR3, they have announced a new overclocking competition that will be running on HWBOT during the month of May. We would like to give our readers the announcement and rules so that they can enter and win the awesome prizes that are being offered. They are giving away 13 8GB RAM kits and 1 32GB RAM kit.
