New Tony Hawk's Pro Skater announcement date teased within Black Ops 6
It was only a few days ago that a professional skater who has been previously featured in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater remasters teased that he's in a new project "that's about to come out". Now a mysterious date has surfaced.
The date for what appears to be a new Tony Hawk-related game was discovered within the Call of Duty map Grind that has returned in Black Ops 6 Season 2 Reloaded. Players noticed a new addition to the map that first appeared in 2012's Black Ops 2 when they entered the shop area. On a large sign located on the back wall there's the numbers "03.04.25" written in the Tony Hawk font. The dead giveaway is the numbers are featured alongside the iconic Tony Hawk logo from Pro Skater.
This teaser comes only days after professional skater Tyshawn Jones let slip during an interview on The Breakfast Club that he was going to be in a new Tony Hawk game that's "about to come out". Jones also stated this new Tony Hawk game was a "remaster," which has led fans to believe Activision has been quietly working on the remaster of Pro Skater 3 and 4, which would be titled Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 - if it follows the same naming scheme as the previously remastered titles 2 + 3.

Black Panther game details leak: T'Challa, unique combat, dynamic story
New details have been leaked for the upcoming single-player Black Panther game in development by Cliffhanger Games, and according to the details, players will be able to choose the next protector of Wakanda.
The new details are leaked, which means you should definitely take them with a healthy amount of skepticism, as nothing has been officially confirmed by the developer. With that being said, let's get into it. The new details come from TheGhostofHope, and according to the leaker, Cliffhanger Games will let players pick the Black Panther, with multiple characters such as T'Challa, M'Baku, Azari, Shuri, and even Killmonger being payable. Additionally, each of the characters will have a unique playstyle, weapons, armor, and gadgets, with the idea that they will feel distinct from each other.
The leaker says the developers have selected an over-the-shoulder camera perspective for the title, and the combat will be a mixture of traditional African martial arts with superhuman abilities and Wakandan tech. Moreover, the world is supposedly expansive, taking on an open-world setting where players can explore large cities, savannas, and regions. Notably, the game is also meant to feature a range of cultures, and the single-player story will react to player decisions that will lead to unique experiences.
GeForce Game Ready Driver 572.47 released - RTX 5070 Ti and Marvel Rivals DLSS 4 support
GeForce Game Ready Driver 572.47 is here, weighing 844.62MB for Windows 10 and 11. It supports the new GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, which is out now. For a breakdown of the latest GPU's performance, check out our full, in-depth reviews of the MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Ventus 3X and the INNO3D GeForce RTX 5070 Ti X3 - two MSRP models that should be available for close to $749 USD.
And we say "should" because there's been a lot of discussion and reports lately showing that MSRP for the GeForce RTX 50 Series doesn't mean much when models are being sold with concerning price hikes. Setting aside the 'GPU pricing in 2025 controversy' for a moment, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is an impressive release as it offers a decent performance uplift over the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti to deliver 4K gaming performance on par with the GeForce RTX 4080 and RTX 4080 SUPER.
GeForce Game Ready Driver 572.47 (download it here) offers more than new GPU support. It also optimizes Marvel Rivals' official DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation update, which arrived with the game's latest patch.
Insider leaks Elder Scrolls 6 'Hammerfell' details: reveal date, ships, dragons, main location
Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls VI in 2018, and since then, details about the title have been scarce, but now an insider has revealed some new information.
Before we get into the details, it should be noted that Bethesda has confirmed none of the following, and it should definitely be taken with a healthy amount of skepticism. With that being said, let's get into it. Known insider Extas1s has posted a new video where he details several aspects of The Elder Scrolls 6, saying the game will be much more immersive than previous Elder Scrolls titles and will take place in the region of Tamriel known as Hammerfall.
This isn't the first time Hammerfell has been predicted as the location for The Elder Scrolls 6, as I reported back in July 2024 that a Bethesda employee-owned Pinterest account was saving images that appeared to be inspiration for Hammerfell. Extas1s says the game will be taking place in Hammerfell and also High Rock, and there will be the inclusion of naval battles and shipbuilding. The building of the ships will be inspired by Starfield, and players will have explorable islands off the coast of the main location with marine life/underwater exploration.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater remaster confirmed by professional skateboarder Tyshawn Jones
Skating fans will be glad to know there is another Tony Hawk's Pro Skater remaster currently in the works, according to professional skateboarder Tyshawn Jones, who recently teased the existence of the remaster during an interview on The Breakfast Club.
Notably, Activision hasn't confirmed anything regarding a new Tony Hawk remaster, but 2020's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 was a commercial success, selling millions of copies. Vicarious, the development team behind the remaster of the first two Pro Skater games, was praised for their efforts with 1 + 2, but on January 22, 2021, the team was merged with Blizzard Entertainment. Activision then went to look for a new studio to handle the remasters of Pro Skater 3 and 4, but, unfortunately, found no one that was as skilled as the Vicarious team, and as a result the remasters were dropped.
But that doesn't seem to be the case, or at least according to Tyshawn Jones, who appeared to let slip the news about a new "remaster" he is featured in. "I'm in a Tony Hawk coming out so that's cool," he said. "They got a new one they remastering so that's about to come out. I was in the last one." Adding more credence to more Tony Hawk games being released was Tony Hawk himself, who said in September 2024, "I wish I could tell you more. But I can tell you that I've been talking to Activision again which is insanely exciting. We're working on something."
NASA updates the chances on 'city-killer' asteroid 2024 YR4 hitting Earth
The asteroid that was determined to be the most significant threat to Earth has now had it's chances of impacting our planet updated by NASA.
NASA has taken to its website to once again update the probability of 2024 YR4 impacting Earth, with the space agency initially estimating a 1.3% of it colliding with our planet in 2032, which was then promptly increased to 2.3%, and then a 3.1% chance after follow-up observations. Now, after more observations have been conducted the space agency can report the probability of impact in 2032 has been brought down to just 0.28%. NASA took to its Planetary Defense blog on February 20 to write, "Observations made overnight on Feb. 19 - 20 of asteroid 2024 YR4 have further decreased its chance of Earth impact on Dec. 22, 2032, to 0.28%."
While Earth can wipe its brow and almost say, "Close one!" the Moon isn't so lucky, as these follow-up observations increased the chance of asteroid 2024 YR4 impacting our closest neighbor. "With this new data, the chance of an impact with the Moon increased slightly to 1%," writes the space agency. For those wondering why the impact probabilities have been jumping around so much, NASA explains this is simply the process of scientific evaluation, with the space agency writing on its FAQ:
After 40 years of being free Microsoft has added a paywall to Notepad
Notepad has been around for more than 40 years, and throughout that time, Microsoft made simple software free, but that time has now come to an end, or at least if you want full access to Notepad.
The age of Notepad having a paywall has arrived, with the simple writing software now prompting users to sign into a Microsoft account to access new tools such as Rewrite, a new feature that uses artificial intelligence to rewrite highlighted text. Users attempting to use the new feature will be prompted with a Microsoft account sign-in page, and if the account doesn't have an active Microsoft 365 membership, the user will be required to sign up. This is the paywall.
It should be noted that you can still use Notepad without a Microsoft account, and users can go as far as removing the Rewrite icon completely from Notepad. Despite the ability to still use the software without an account, Microsoft has received some criticism for implementing what is most definitely a paywall/advertisement for a built-in piece of Windows software.

Apple's new iPhone 16e sports the company's first in-house 5G modem, made on TSMC 4nm and 7nm
Apple's new budget-focused iPhone 16e was announced earlier this year, packing the company's first in-house 5G modem called the Apple C1.
Apple's new C1 modem is the most power-efficient baseband chip inside of an iPhone according to the company, with the new in-house 5G modem seeing a combination of TSMC 4nm and 7nm process nodes. The new Apple C1 modem is fabbed on TSMC's newer 4nm process node, while the transceiver is made on TSMC's last-gen 7nm node.
The new iPhone 16e costs just $599 with the new Apple C1 subsystem inside, with this subsystem containing key components including the processor and memory. Apple's new iPhone 16e features the same A18 processor as the rest of the iPhone 16 family, and has the best battery life of all of the 6.1-inch iPhones thanks to its new C1 subsystem.
Microsoft's new Majorana 1 chip: creates new 'state of manner' to change quantum computing
Microsoft has just unveiled its new Majorana 1 quantum computing chip, with the company creating a new "state of matter" in the process. Check it out:
The company says the design of the Majorana 1 processor is meant to fit up to 1 million qubits, which should be enough quantum computing power to see what the world of quantum can truly do: including cracking cryptographic codes, designing new drugs and materials, and so much more.
Microsoft announced the creation of the first-ever "topological qubits" in a device that stores information in an exotic state of matter, which could be the key to significant breakthroughs in quantum computing.
ASRock's new B650M Pro X3D motherboards: budget mobos optimized for AMD Ryzen X3D CPUs
ASRock is ready for the world of AMD Ryzen X3D processors with its new B650M Pro X3D and B650M Pro X3D Wi-Fi motherboards, optimized for AM5-based X3D CPUs.
The new ASRock B650M Pro X3D and B650M Pro X3D Wi-Fi motherboards is a rebranding of their B860M PRO RS (RS = Race Sport) mobos, with pricing expected to be less than the $148 that the B850 Pro RS sells for on Newegg. The new ASRock B650M Pro X3D motherboard features an 8+1+1 power stage design, rocks 4 x DDR5 DIMMs with support for 8000 MT/s+ RAM when overclocked, and more.
We've also got the full PCIe 5.0 x16 interface for new graphics cards, but no super-fast Gen5 SSD support (Gen4 SSDs are fast enough) but there's also enthusiast-grade 2.5GbE wired ethernet here, while the B650M Pro X3D Wi-Fi comes with Wi-Fi (duh) with the Wi-Fi 6E standard with Bluetooth.
AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D are launching on March 12, reviews on March 11
AMD's new flagship Zen 5-based Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D processors are launching March 12, with reviews dropping the day before on March 11.
In a new post from leaker Golden Pig Upgrade, we're learning that the new Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D processors will have their review embargoes lift on March 11, with retail availability for the new Zen 5-based X3D-powered processors set for March 12, which is my birthday... making for the perfect Team Red present.
Not only that, but the review embargo for Intel's new Core Ultra 200HX series "Arrow Lake" processors is set for March 12, but the enthusiast-grade, up to 16C/32T of Zen 5 processing power with X3D will take all the headlines, we're sure of that. AMD doesn't only have its new Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D processors ready for March 12, but its new RDNA 4-based Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs will be launching before that... we should expect some monster Ryzen + Radeon combos in the coming weeks.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti supply leak: low stock at US retailers, average price closer to $950
NVIDIA's new GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is here, and it looks like launch supply is worse than we thought... far worse.
In a new video from leaker Moore's Law is Dead, we're hearing that some US retailers have less than 10 (!!!) of the new GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics cards for its launch supply. This one particular source told MLID that "this is 'better' than the 5090, but otherwise the second-lowest volume GPU launch I've seen in my life time. Oh, and we are told that we'll get a lot more supply in March, but I'll have to see it to believe it".
Another US retailer source told MLID that they can confirm they'll have a little over a few hundred RTX 5070 Ti cards for the launch company-wide. The stock situation doesn't look good at all, but it gives AMD a huge chance right now... deliver the new RDNA 4-based Radeon RX 9070 XT and Radeon RX 9070 graphics cards on time, with plenty of stock, and keep closer to MSRP than NVIDIA.
NVIDIA revives 'priority access' program to help buyers beat scalpers to RTX 5090 or 5080 GPUs
NVIDIA has put its priority access scheme back into action - an initiative brought in with RTX 4000 GPUs - in an effort to defeat scalpers, and give genuine buyers of the RTX 5090 and 5080 a fair crack at securing a GPU.
NVIDIA explains that with the 'Verified Priority Access' program will give a "limited number of verified GeForce gamers & creators in the United States the opportunity to purchase one GeForce RTX 5090 or RTX 5080 Founders Edition graphics card from the NVIDIA Marketplace."
So, the catches are that this is US-only (so far), and that you only get a chance to buy a Founders Edition (not any third-party boards, if you'd prefer a more heavyweight top-end option).
President Trump discusses 25% chip tariffs, Taiwan chip companies plan shift to US production
President Trump has ensured that semiconductor tariffs on chips imported into the US would increase higher over the course of 2025, with new details on the tariffs shared during a press briefing at Mar-A-Lago.
During the press briefing, President Trump was initially asked about tariffs for the automotive industry, but when pressed about his future plans for semiconductors and pharmaceuticals, President Trump said that the tariffs will "be 25% and higher" and that the tariffs would "go very substantially higher over a course of a year".
The US government will give chip companies the time to relocate their production to the United States, with President Trump adding that "we wanna give them time to come in" and that when the companies "come into the United States and they have their plant or factory here, there is no tariff".
Microsoft thinks Xbox's new generative AI could save classic games, future-proof game libraries
Microsoft hopes to use its new AI technology to preserve older games, potentially future-proofing backwards compatibility.
Microsoft is all-in on artificial intelligence, and Xbox has briefly discussed its AI plans. First, Xbox signed a multi-year deal with Inworld to use its generative AI for narrative/quest design in games. Now, Microsoft has announced Muse, its own tech that is able to generate gameplay sequences. Muse was trained using real-world inputs from players in Ninja Theory's Bleeding Edge game.
The implications for Muse are unclear, and Microsoft tells developers they don't have to use generative AI for their games (Ninja Theory has already opted out, for instance). The announcement page, blog post, and accompanying YouTube video with Phil Spencer only go so far. What can we expect Muse to be used for?
Fujitsu celebrates 50 million laptops with this gorgeous once-off kumiko wooden lid laptop
Fujitsu is celebrating a massive milestone: shipping over 50 million PCs and now the company has launched a beautiful once-off commemorative PC to celebrate the milestone of its manufacturing company Shiname Fujitsu.
The new FMV Note C laptop has been crafted with an absolutely beautiful kumiko wooden lid, with the woodcraft taken care of by Japan's Funaki Woodworks. In a new report from ITMedia in Japan, picked up by Tom's Hardware, the work to create this masterpiece took 2-3 months.
The kumiko craftsmanship is an art that started in Japan around 1500 years ago during the Asuka period, with Fujitsu making its new FMV Note C laptop with a wooden pattern that features 5800 wooden pieces using 4 select wood species. All of the work done on the laptop was far harder than usual, as the laptop lid couldn't be too thick, seeing artisan Funaki Kiyoshi had to work with pieces of wood that are just 4mm thick.
Microsoft used an Xbox game to train its new generative AI tools
Microsoft's new generative AI toolset, Muse, was trained using real-world player inputs from an Xbox game, the company today announced.
Remember when Xbox announced its generative AI plans? These strategies had been nebulous for some time, but the mystery has been lifted with a research update that gives a better idea of what Microsoft is up to. At the time, Xbox president Sarah Bond said that gaming AI would be focused on three areas:
Xbox's AI tech is called Muse, and it was actually trained using data from Ninja Theory's failed live game Bleeding Edge. Microsoft Research supplied the AI team with key player data. According to Nature, Microsoft used anonymized captures from 500,000 play sesssions.

Elon Musk launches Grok 3, new xAI chatbot can be used on X or through decicated Grok app
Elon Musk has announced that his xAI startup has just launched Grok 3, the latest AI chatbot that integrates tightly into X and it even has a dedicated app available on both iOS and Android operating systems.
Grok 3 is being rolled out immediately to Premium+ subscribers on X, while we have a new subsciption for xAI is being rolled out called SuperGrok, for users accessing Grok 3 through the mobile app or on the Grok.com website. Grok 3 can generate text and images without the guardrails against sexually aggressive imagery, vulgarity, or the reproduction of well-known people's likenesses.
During a livestream sitting with 3 xAI engineers earlier this week, Musk said: "Grok 3 across the board is in a league of its own" . Musk added that Grok 3 far outpaces Grok 2 with "more than 10 times" the computing power, killing it in AI benchmarks across the planet. Musk calls Grok 3 "maximally truth-seeking AI, even if that truth is sometimes at odds with what is politically correct".
Xbox first-party developers have a choice whether or not to use generative AI, Microsoft says
Following heavy layoffs in the games industry, including its own video games division, Microsoft today made a bunch of announcements regarding its generative AI technology that will be used for games development.
Today Microsoft revealed Muse, its new generative AI tech, and talked more about its plans for AI in games. The company is going full steam ahead on a "real-time playable AI model trained on other first-party games," and its experimental Muse technology is able to create generated instances of gameplay at low-level resolution.
Using AI poses a potential ethical dilemma in the creative space, especially with so many fellow developers having been laid off. In a blog post, Microsoft says that first-party devs won't be made to use AI tech.
Lenovo's new ThinkBook Flip teased: foldable OLED screen on a laptop is coming soon
Lenovo's new ThinkBook Flip is nearly here, with the world's first laptop with a rollable OLED display debuting at CES 2025 earlier this year. Check it out:
The new Lenovo ThinkBook Flip AI PC isn't exactly new as we've heard about the new rollable OLED laptop from notorious leaker Evan Blass, and features a motorized expandable OLED display (with a purported cheaper version with a manual opening display).
The new Lenovo ThinkBook Flip has a regular OLED display when used as a regular laptop, but if you need more OLED screen real estate, then the original OLED display will roll out (as it's bent in half, hidden away until you need it). This means the Lenovo ThinkBook Flip AI PC laptop can be used as a laptop, or as a tablet, or as a huge laptop or tablet when you roll out the OLED panel.
