Grand Theft Auto 6 is the most anticipated game in the world at the moment, with fans of the franchise patiently waiting to hear any piece of new information from either Rockstar or publisher Take-Two Interactive.
Unfortunately, Rockstar and Take-Two have been tight-lipped on anything GTA 6-related, with the only piece of GTA 6 content officially released being Trailer 1, which debuted on December 4, 2023. Trailer 1 revealed GTA 6 is pegged for launch sometime in Fall 2025, and since it was released, it has now reached two significant milestones. Trailer 1 has surpassed 250 million views and 1 million comments.
For those who don't know, when the GTA 6 trailer was released, it took the crown from MrBeast as the most viewed YouTube video within a 24-hour period, not counting any music videos.
What is new for GTA 6? Currently, nothing at all besides the previously announced release window, but as we inch closer to that release window Rockstar and Take-Two are running out of marketing runway to hype of up the game, meaning a new trailer should be right around the corner. As for what is set in stone, Take-Two is scheduled to hold an earnings call in May, where we could get some updates on GTA 6's timeline, possibly after the call, even Trailer 2.
As for now, GTA fans will have to continue waiting patiently for Rockstar and Take-Two, and in the meantime, we can just continue re-watching Trailer 1. Maybe it will reach 300 million views before we get the second trailer?
