Bethesda offers 'once-in-a-lifetime' opportunity to immortalize yourself in Elder Scrolls 6
Bethesda has taken to its social channels to share an exclusive opportunity with Elder Scrolls fans who wish to become immortalized in the upcoming Elder Scrolls 6.
Bethesda has partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to hold a silent auction where the winning bidder will work with the Bethesda Game Studios development team to create a character that will appear as an NPC within The Elder Scrolls VI. The auction listing reads, "This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity allows you to immortalize yourself in one of the most highly anticipated video games of all time, The Elder Scrolls VI."
The auction is being held on the Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic website, and at the time of writing, the minimum bid is $10,450. For those who don't know, The Elder Scrolls 6 was initially announced at E3 2018 where a brief teaser for the highly anticipated sequel was displayed. Since then, there's hardly been any information regarding the game besides brief mentions of it, and Bethesda game director Todd Howard, stating that The Elder Scrolls 6 will be Bethesda's next release.
GAMEMAX rebrands with new logo, next-gen product line-up on the way
GAMEMAX is a relatively new name in the PC hardware space. Still, it has already delivered some noteworthy products - namely, the stylish and impressive GAMEMAX Infinity Pro chassis from late last year and, more recently, a 32-inch 240Hz QD-OLED display for gamers.

Insiders reveal GTA 6 Online mode plans - custom player-made experiences await
Rockstar is reportedly in talks with top Fortnite, Roblox and GTA creators about turning the next online mode for GTA into a creator platform.
The news comes from Digiday, which reports that Rockstar is talking to creators about developing a platform for custom experiences within the GTA 6. At the moment, it's unknown if the next online mode for GTA will be called GTA 6 Online or simply GTA Online and if the current online experience will be rebranded to a legacy moniker such as GTA V Online or GTA Online Legacy.
Regardless of the name change, Rockstar is seemingly preparing to make the next online experience customizable by players through FiveM, a popular game modification that enables players to host and join multiplayer servers where hundreds of users can play simultaneously. The information comes from three industry insiders with knowledge of the Rockstar meetings that required anonymity to protect business relationships.
GTA 6 to support user-generated content, Rockstar meeting with Roblox and Fortnite creators
According to a new report, Rockstar has been meeting with top Roblox, Fortnite, and GTA V creators to discuss the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI or GTA 6. Citing multiple sources "with knowledge of these meetings," the report states that these talks are directly related to Rockstar, including enhanced modding tools to support user-generated content (UGC) in the game.
The report notes that these discussions have been open-ended. Still, it indicates that GTA 6's online functionality will build on the popular modding and RP (role-playing) scene of the current GTA Online sandbox, with expanded tools to create custom experiences in the game alongside potential revenue sharing and brand partnerships.
GTA V is still one of the most popular games on the streaming platform Twitch thanks to its robust online mode, so it makes sense that Rockstar and its parent company Take-Two would be looking at expanding or enhancing the community and user-driven side of the game - post-campaign and story.
AIDA64 Updated - GeForce RTX 50 Series support is in, Windows 95 support is out
AIDA64, the popular system diagnostic, monitoring, and benchmarking tool from FinalWire, has been updated to Version 7.60. This update brings improvements and support for new hardware, plus a few surprises. AIDA64 v7.60 finally removes support for the now-ancient Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows Me operating systems.
It's been a while since we've seen the words Windows Me. Released in the year 2000, the Millenium Edition of Windows was the follow-up to the popular Windows 98 and gained a reputation for being one of the most unstable versions of the operating system to date. Microsoft ended its PC support twenty years ago, so it's pretty admirable that AIDA64 has continued to keep the Windows Me lights on for as long as it has.
Back to AIDA64 v7.60, the latest update adds support for the latest GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs and the upcoming Radeon RX 9070 and Radeon RX 9070 XT cards from AMD. Also. there's for the latest Ryzen CPU chipset for desktop PCs and B840, B850, and B860 motherboards.
Meta invents device that replaces a keyboard for typing with thoughts
Meta has invented a device that is capable of replacing a keyboard for typing with a user instead thinking of the text they want to produce.
Two studies published by Meta last week detail researchers creating a new state-of-the-art brain scanner and combining it with a deep learning AI model that's designed to interpret brain signals and convert them into text. Here's how it works. The new platform consists of a magnetoencephalography scanner, which is a neuroimaging technique designed to measure and record the magnetic activity produced by the electric currents generated by brain signals.
The activity recorded by the machine is then combined with the deep learning AI model that interprets the signals into the keys pressed by an individual. The AI model eventually reached a level of accuracy that entire sentences could be reconstructed. Researchers said the system was capable of correctly predicting the keys typed by a "skilled" typist 80% of the time. Meta says the new system is the most accurate brain-typing system that doesn't involve an invasive procedure such as a brain-computer-interface (BCI), which involves surgery and connecting a device to the brain.

Intel's next-gen Celestial GPU rumor: Xe3P architecture, fabbed with Intel Foundry, not by TSMC
Intel's next-generation Celestial discrete GPUs are rumored to feature the new Xe3P architecture, and will reportedly be fabbed using Intel Foundry instead of TSMC according to the latest reports.
In some new leaks, we're learning that Intel's next-gen Celestial discrete GPUs will be using an enhanced Xe3P architecture with huge performance improvements, produced in-house by Intel Foundry Services (IFS). On a post on X, leaker @OneRaichu said: "different from Panther Lake, Celestial dGPU looks like (it) will maybe be based on Xe3P instead of Xe3. I estimate it will (be) based on Intel's process instead of outside".
The "P" in Xe3P should stand for Performance, so we should expect the new Xe3P-based Celestial discrete GPUs to offer bigger performance improvements over the newer Battlemage GPU architecture while showing off the semiconductor prowess of Intel Foundry. It also could be the end of Intel using TSMC to make it discrete GPUs, which is an interesting turn of events.
Bargain CPU of the Century: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D discounted to just $99 at Walmart temporarily
AMD's previous-gen Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor has been picked up for an uber-cheap $99, making it the bargain of the century for this particular PC gamer.
Redditor "Global-Pickle5818" picked up the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor thanks to Walmart closing down its PC department, getting rid of the 7800X3D for just $99.75 down from $399. This is close to just 25% of its original price, and it's not the only super-cheap processor that the Redditor spotted, as you can see the Intel Core i5-14600K being discounted to just $77.25 down from its original $239 price.
Not only did the Redditor spot the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor for $99, but mentioned that he also purchased an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card for $350. Picking up the 7800X3D for just $99 is quite the bargain, especially as you can pick up a fantastic $100-$150 AM5 motherboard, making for a potent gaming PC on the cheap.
This mobile LED screen is taller than your HOUSE: 767-inch 4K, insane 3840Hz refresh rate
Belgian LED display specialist Photonics showed off its insane Jumbo162 earlier month, with a bonkers 767-inch LED panel at a native 4K resolution and an even more insane 3840Hz refresh rate... yeah, 4K at up to 3840FPS.
The company is celebrating 10 years of success of its Jumbo 100, it's expanding its fleet with the new 161.5 square meter marvel, which reaches a huge 13 meters at its top. The new Jumbo 162 uses its cutting-edge Megapixel VR processing and new Helios LED processor -- which the company says is "the best in the world" -- offering the new mega-sized LED screen to have "unrivaled image quality".
The new Jumbo 162 features VantaBlack technology, which Photonics says will deliver the highest contrast thanks to its gold-wire full black LED lamps and precision shader design. The new Jumbo 162 has multiple screen modes, making it flexible enough to offer a huge 161.5 square meter screen which is 4K-ready, or a 97.5 square meter HD+ option.
NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti benchmark rumor suggests a GPU that'll be closer to RTX 5080 than expected
NVIDIA's incoming RTX 5070 Ti graphics card might turn out to be a smidge over 15% faster than its predecessor, or that's what some purported benchmark leaks are now suggesting.
VideoCardz grabbed the scoop with this one, airing figures from an unnamed reviewer for the RTX 5070 Ti which pitted the inbound GPU against the RTX 4070 Ti - with the RTX 5080 included alongside both of these models for an illuminating current-gen perspective.
The benchmarks themselves are drawn from 3DMark, and as ever, we'd be foolish to put as much stock in synthetic tests as opposed to real-world gaming benchmarks, which is where the true story of a GPU is told.
Micron to begin mass production of 12-Hi HBM3E, next-gen HBM4 ships in 2026 ready for NVIDIA
Micron is preparing for the mass production of its new 12-Hi HBM3E memory, ready to supply its new AI memory to NVIDIA to use on its AI GPUs, while also teasing next-generation HBM4 is coming in 2026.
The US-based memory giant announced in September 2024 that it was developing its 12-Hi HBM3E and provided samples to customers including NVIDIA. Business Korea is reporting from industry sources that on February 14, Micron's Chief Financial Officer, Mark Murphy, highlighted 12-Hi HBM3E memory advantages during an event hosted by Wolfe Research.
Murphy said that the new 12-Hi HBM3E memory consumes 20% less power and packs 50% more capacity than the 8-Hi HBM3E memory standard. The Micron CFO predicted that most of the HBM produced in 2H 2025 would be 12-Hi HBM3E memory.

Meta has just announced its most ambitious subsea internet cable project in history: Project Waterworth, and once it's complete it will reach 5 major continents -- the United States, India, Brazil, South Africa, and Australia.
Subsea cable infrastructure including Project Waterworth are the backbone of global digital infrastructure, which accounts for over 95% of intercontinental traffic across the world's oceans to provide digital communication, video and streaming services, online gaming, online transactions, and more.
Project Waterworth will be a multi-billion dollar, multi-year investment in order to "strengthen the scale and reliability of the world's digital highways by opening three new oceanic corridors with the abundant, high speed connectivity needed to drive AI innovation around the world" explains Meta on its website.
NVIDIA RTX 5050 sighting at EEC sparks hope that a true budget Blackwell GPU could be inbound
PC gamers on a tighter budget have just had their hopes raised that NVIDIA might produce a truly affordable Blackwell graphics card in the form of an RTX 5050 desktop GPU.
This stems from a filing with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) by Zotac, which encompasses the existing Blackwell GPUs, and soon to be released RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 models, along with RTX 5060 Ti and 5060 (still unofficial, but heavily rumored for a release in the near future - supposedly in April, or that's the latest guesstimate).
The real eye-opener here was the mention of an RTX 5050, though, which hasn't even been rumored (not on the desktop - there has been speculation about the GPU in laptop form numerous times).
Ubisoft unveils Rainbow Six Siege X, the 'biggest transformation in the game's history'
Rainbow Six Siege players can finally put down their cups of speculation about a follow-up title to their beloved title, as Ubisoft has finally confirmed via a new teaser trailer Rainbow Six Siege X.
Ubisoft took to its social media platforms to share a quick teaser of the new title and described it as the "biggest transformation in the game's history." Unfortunately, not much else is known about Rainbow Six Siege X other than the title, as players are now speculating whether it's a completely new release in the franchise or an overhaul of the current game. The only other piece of information we have regarding the new title is that more will be revealed at R6 Siege X Showcase scheduled for March 13.
As for what is within the teaser trailer, Ubisoft has briefly showcased what appears to be, at the very least, a visual overhaul, along with some wall-running mechanics and several explosions that blow holes in walls. Ubisoft also teases in the description of the teaser trailer that Rainbow Six Siege X "introduces new ways to play, deepened tactical gameplay, and major upgrades all around!" Judging from those last three words in that aforementioned sentence, I'm leaning toward Rainbow Six Siege X being an "upgrade" of Rainbow Six Siege rather than a new release in the franchise.
Visionary art lead on Half-Life 2 dies age 52, colleagues confirm and post tributes
Viktor Antonov, the Bulgarian artist who is known for his iconic work on Half-Life 2 and Dishonored has passed away at the age of 52.
Antonov's former colleagues have posted tributes online to the artist who began working in the video games industry with the title Redneck Rampage. Half-Life writer Marc Laidlaw broke the news on his Instagram Story, which has since expired. Laidlaw wrote, "I didn't want to say much till I felt it was confirmed, but I learned today that Viktor Antonov, our visionary art lead on HL2, has died."
Antonov also consulted on titles such as DOOM (2016) and Fallout 4. Moreover, Antonov was featured in the recent documentary celebrating the 20th anniversary of Half-Life 2 that was released this past November. As for what Antonov is mostly recognized for, the Bulgarian artist is credited with creating Combine and City 17's now iconic visual identities. Additionally, the artist is credited with the visual identity of Dishonored's Dunwall.
Grand Theft Auto 6 may release on PC only a few months after the console launch
Take-Two Interactive, the publisher of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, confirmed the launch for the title will be sometime in the Fall of 2025. The highly anticipated title will be heading to consoles first, but when is the PC release?
Rockstar Games has traditionally released its new titles on console first before eventually releasing a PC version approximately a year later. Rockstar is yet to announce anything regarding a PC version of GTA 6, but the platform was briefly mentioned by Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick who said during a recent earnings call that PC gaming is becoming a "much more important part of what used to be a console business," which has led to speculation of a simultaneous platform release.
Unfortunately, that won't happen, as it was confirmed by Zelnick that Rockstar is sticking to its traditional strategy of console first and then PC. But how long will it be before we see GTA 6 on PC? According to Corsair Gaming's financial VP, Ronald van Veen, who said during the company's latest financial results, GTA 6 will be released on PC sometime in early 2026.
NVIDIA is secretly negotiating with Samsung, SK hynix, and Micron to use SOCAMM memory modules
NVIDIA is reportedly "secretly negotiating" with Samsung, SK hynix, and Micron to use new "SOCAMM" memory modules in its follow-up to Project DIGITS.
In a new report from SEDaily, we're learning from an industry insider who said "NVIDIA and memory companies are currently exchanging SOCAMM prototypes to conduct performance tests" and that "mass production could be possible as early as later this year".
The new SOCAMM memory module is a more cost-effective standard than regular DRAM modules for small PCs and laptops, as traditional PCs use DRAM modules in SO-DIMM form (with DDR4 and DDR5 modules). SOCAMM however, places low-power LPDDR5X DRAM directly onto the board with far better energy efficiency.
Xbox boss says he's no longer trying to get all gamers over to Xbox
Xbox Gaming CEO Phil Spencer said during a recent interview that he's no longer trying to get all gamers over to the Xbox platform.
Spencer recently appeared on the XboxEra podcast, where he discussed the recent industry-shifting moves of Xbox and how the company is now releasing its products on competing platforms. Spencer was asked about his thoughts about the split Xbox has when one of its games is purchased on a competing storefront, such as Steam or now PlayStation. Spencer was asked to talk about people suggesting that Sony is using the 30% they acquire when an Xbox game is purchased on its storefront to reduce Xbox's standing in the market.
The Microsoft Gaming CEO echoed similar statements he had made in the past, saying that game titles and franchises are what Xbox wants to deliver to gamers, regardless of the platform. "I would love to make all of the money for all of the games that we ship right, like obviously we make more on our own platform. It's one of the reasons that investing in our own platform is important." Adding, "But there are people, whether it's their libraries on a PlayStation or Nintendo, whether it's they like the controller better, they just like the games that are there."

TCL's AI-generated Next Stop Paris film sure doesn't look like the 'future of storytelling'
Last year, we reported on TCL's Next Stop Paris, an AI-generated romantic comedy that would kick off a string of AI content for its TCLtv+ streaming platform, available on all of the company's Smart TVs. Although it took several months to complete, the "long-anticipated AI-powered love story" premiered last week, and you can watch the entire 11-minute and 44-second film right now.
"Claire, an overly cautious planner, and Del, a free-spirited dreamer, meet by chance on a train and embark on a spontaneous day in Paris filled with adventure and self-discovery," the synopsis reads. "This whirlwind romance forces them to confront whether their unexpected connection is the work of destiny or a sign of something greater at play."
Yeah, it's not great. The quality of the writing, storytelling, and imagery looks like something from the CD-ROM era of PC gaming when B-movie acting and obvious lo-fi CG sets and backdrops served as the platform for a new style of "interactive movies." Night Trap on the Sega CD add-on for the Genesis or The 7th Guest on PC come to mind.
