TL;DR: Bethesda is reportedly developing Oblivion Remastered for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, leveraging the console’s Unreal Engine 5 compatibility and enhanced power. While graphics may be scaled down, this release aims to expand the game’s reach, aligning with Switch 2’s support for demanding open-world titles.

Oblivion Remastered has been released on every platform except Nintendo's, but according to a known gaming industry leaker, that may change.

The insider is eXtastv, who has been fairly hit and miss with his predictions, but according to the leaker, Bethesda is currently working on a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Oblivion Remastered, with the leaker saying there is "active work by Bethesda" on the project. How possible is this? Well, considering the power of the Nintendo Switch 2 and titles such as Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, and most importantly, The Duskbloods, are all open-world games that are coming to the Switch 2 and will push the console's performance capabilities.

What is likely the most significant indicator that the Switch 2 will be capable of running a cut-down version of Oblivion Remastered is that the console is compatible with Unreal Engine 5, as Fortnite running a version of Unreal Engine 5 will be available on the platform. While the graphic intensity and scope of Fortnite compared to Oblivion Remastered are entirely different, it confirms the console is, at the very least, capable of running an Unreal Engine 5 game, which is what developers used to create Oblivion Remastered.

What a Nintendo Switch 2 version of Oblivion Remastered will look like is a completely different question, but it's probably close to what you'd expect - extremely cut-down graphics compared to both the PC and other console versions. Notably, Xbox has already confirmed it's pushing to support the Nintendo Switch 2 with as many of its titles as possible, and since Oblivion Remastered has been a major hit and hasn't received a physical release, it appears to be a prime candidate for release on the Nintendo Switch 2.
