Nintendo have officially announced their E3 date for their annual Nintendo Direct live stream and presentation. How long will the presentation go? Rumors have speculated that it would be along the lines of 45 minutes.

Nintendo Direct E3 2019 runtime length rumored for 45 mins

The news has come from PeekyBird, an industry insider who has previously predicted other Nintendo Switch related news has said that the "Nintendo Direct E3 2019 runtime is expected to be around 45 minutes." This prediction seems more than logical, as it doesn't take a genius to piece together that Nintendo will most likely follow their approximate run time of anywhere between 30 - 45 minutes, like many of the previous years.

A simple YouTube search of "Nintendo Direct: E3 2018", and changing the yearly number will bring up results of the Nintendo's official events. The 30 and 45 minutes video rune time length ranges back until 2010, before then Nintendo were pumping out massive 1 hour + conferences. Nintendo will be hosting their Nintendo Direct on June 11th at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET.

Super Smash Bros. rumors point at Banjo-Kazooie for next DLC

Jak Connor | Gaming | Jun 5, 2019 2:00 AM CDT

While a portion of us don't enjoy the pursuit of diving into rumors or speculation of certain possibilities of Smash characters. A considerable amount of us still do, and a theory has been developed and supported to suggest Banjoa-Kazooie for the next DLC fighter.

Super Smash Bros. rumors point at Banjo-Kazooie for next DLC

With E3 just around the corner, Nintendo are bound to show of some form of tease for the next DLC character to enter into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Who will this character be? Rumors have suggested sourced from a ResetEra admin who said "Been a while since we saw Banjo in anything. Hope we're in for a smashing good time." To correlate this information, during the March 2018 reveal of Smash the same "smashing good time" phrase was used - is this a wink towards a reveal happening?

Evidence for Banjo-Kazooie has also been sourced from Beanstalk who is a brand extension agency that will be at E3 to discuss licensing brands. Beanstalk has a subsidiary company called Tinderbox who has been known to represent Microsoft since 2016. What is most interesting about this is that Banjo-Kazooie has been listed along with some other Microsoft IP's.

Monster Hunter World 'Iceborne' DLC story teaser trailer

Jak Connor | Gaming | Jun 5, 2019 1:00 AM CDT

Just ahead of the E3 showcase next week, Capcom have released a chilling story trailer for the upcoming DLC for Monster Hunter World 'Iceborne'.

Monster Hunter World 'Iceborne' DLC story teaser trailer

Earlier in May we saw the release of the teaser trailer for Monster Hunter Worlds 'Iceborne' DLC, that trailer introduced us to the climate of the new region, this one throws the magnifying glass over the regions content. 'Iceborne' will take players to Hoarfrost Reach which is a completely new region that is almost the same size as the original game.

The story trailer also gives us a good showcase of the new monsters, and honestly they look fantastic and quite difficult to overcome. If you are after a quick official description, "Monster Hunter World: Iceborne picks up from the end of the original game, with players joining forces with the Research Commission once again to explore the undiscovered new land of Hoarfrost Reach, which will be the largest map in the game. Following an unusual sighting of Legiana from the Ancient Forest, the team journeys across the waters to the new locale. As pioneers, the group soon sets up a new base camp in Hoarfrost Reach called Seliana, which serves as a warm haven with resources to prepare them for the challenging quests that await."

Sony's next-gen PlayStation 5 has 4K 120Hz output support

Anthony Garreffa | Gaming | Jun 4, 2019 11:40 PM CDT

Sony has revealed more details of its next-gen PlayStation 5 console during an interview between CNET and Jim Ryan, the president of Sony Interactive Entertainment. Ryan pushed the big message of "cross-generational play" which would see gamers on both the PS4 and PS5 playing games together.

Sony's next-gen PlayStation 5 has 4K 120Hz output support

But it was the bit about the PS5 supporting 4K 120Hz TVs that piqued my interest, which is an interesting fact. It doesn't mean we'll see games running at 4K at 120FPS on the PS5, but it definitely opens the possibilities of that. There are some more basic games that could roll out with 4K 120Hz support, the PS5 is more than powerful enough to play certain titles at the full 120FPS even at 4K.

So it's not only insanely-fast storage we can expect from the PlayStation 5 and its less-than-one second loading Spider-Man. But the backwards compatibility and cross-generation play mixed with much higher fidelity graphics and audio are truly going to create one of the most insane leaps in next-gen consoles, EVER.

ADATA gaming orb is something I need in my life, NOW

Anthony Garreffa | RAM | Jun 4, 2019 11:04 PM CDT

Computex 2019 - Where do I even begin with ADATA, as it really felt like 'alright this has to be it' when I'm being walked around their gigantic booth in the halls of Nangang... but it kept going. Quality product to quality product, most blinged out with RGBs and an amazing gaming pod that I need want to take home.

ADATA gaming orb is something I need in my life, NOW

Gaming on a super-ultra-wide gaming monitor, in a game that ADATA reached out to the developer for to get their pod into the game so it felt more lifelike. The gaming desk is adjustable once you get into the pod, and pushes up closer to the screen when not needed. If that pod had been moving with the pod in the game, I would not have gotten any other work done as I would've planted myself there for the entire day.

As you can see a gaming RIG is secured at the back of the gaming pod, blinged out with some ADATA RGB-infused cooling and DDR4 RAM.

NVIDIA's rumored GeForce RTX 2070 Ti begins to take shape

Anthony Garreffa | Video Cards & GPUs | Jun 4, 2019 10:07 PM CDT

NVIDIA is reportedly launching three new GeForce RTX series cards next week according to our sources at Computex 2019, and it looks like things are beginning to take shape with rumors of a purported GeForce RTX 2070 Ti graphics card.

NVIDIA's rumored GeForce RTX 2070 Ti begins to take shape

The new purported RTX 2070 Ti would be 10-15% faster than the stock RTX 2070, with its 2560 CUDA cores (vs 2304 in RTX 2070) while the RTX 2080 has 2944 CUDA cores. So it is much closer to an RTX 2070 than an RTX 2080, and also packs 8GB of GDDR6 at 14Gbps, with its GPU boost at 1770MHz, while the boost clock on the RTX 2070 is at 1710MHz.

Previous rumors stated that the new cards would include faster GDDR6 memory that would be up from 14Gbps to 16Gbps, so we need to wait a little while to see what rumors pan out and what don't. For now, this is the latest on the RTX 2070 Ti.

ASUS celebrates its 30th birthday in style at Computex 2019

Anthony Garreffa | Motherboards | Jun 4, 2019 9:15 PM CDT

Computex 2019 - ASUS is another company that hyper-focuses on Computex 2019 and for good reason: their roots are in Taiwan, and they also have a bunch of products that ALWAYS impress. So let's start with what ASUS had to show off new in the world of ROG at Computex this year.

ASUS celebrates its 30th birthday in style at Computex 2019

This is the ROG Swift XG438Q, a mammoth 43-inch 4K HDR screen with 120Hz refresh rate and AMD's FreeSync 2 HDR technology.

This is known as a Large Size Gaming Display or I guess, LSGD compared to the Big Format Gaming Displays (BFGDs) from NVIDIA that ASUS will be launching later this month... I'm really hoping to get one of each.

Microsoft to reveal 3 new IPs at E3, sources say

Microsoft is done being criticized for its lack of games. The company has been ramping up game development for months now, buying up talented studios like Obsidian, Ninja Theory, and inXile to help bolster its AAA games offering. E3 2019 will be a big proving moment for Xbox and these studios will get to show off the fruits of their labors and expand the dreadfully thin first-party Xbox lineup.

The company already confirmed its E3 presence will be absolutely massive, and the show will last a huge 2 hours. We'll see new game reveals, gameplay trailers of in-development titles like Halo: Infinite and Gears of War 5, official details on Game Pass for PC, and an info blowout on Project xCloud, Microsoft's own cloud game streaming service.

THQ Nordic to reveal three big games ahead of E3

Derek Strickland | Gaming | Jun 4, 2019 5:54 PM CDT

THQ Nordic is one of the few publishers working on a metric ton of new projects. There's so many games in the pipeline that THQ has to reveal them ahead of E3 2019.

THQ Nordic to reveal three big games ahead of E3

Right now THQ Nordic is developing over 80 games across its varied stable of developers and subsidiaries, which includes Deep Silver, 4A Games, and Volition. Most of these new titles haven't been announced yet--48 of them are still under wraps. Now the company plans to unveil three of these new games ahead of E3 as part of a new "3 on 3" promo.

So what can we expect to see? Probably a few remasters or re-releases on multiple platforms. I'm betting THQ Nordic will save its huge new game announcements for E3 proper. Volition is working on a top-secret new AAA game (probably Saints Row 5), and other devs like Warhorse Studios, Coffee Stain, and 4A Games are likewise doing the same.

Square Enix biggest games probably won't launch in 2019, including Final Fantasy VII: Remake and Crystal Dynamics' big new Avengers game.

Final Fantasy 7: Remake, Avengers shouldn't launch in 2019

In a recent earnings results briefing, Square Enix strongly reiterates that its upcoming slate of AAA games won't be ready by year's end. We recently predicted that marquee games like Final Fantasy VII: Remake wouldn't release until 2020 at the earliest. The publisher's earnings forecasts for the current fiscal year just don't represent a huge spike in game sales that accompany huge games like FF7R, and now the company lends credence to this prediction.

The briefing divulges some key info about Square Enix's upcoming plans. Square Enix will unveil key details about its major new games, including features, platforms, and probably release dates. But showing what's to come should be the extent of the show. Square Enix President Yosuke Matsuda outlines plans for E3 and confirms big games like Crystal Dynamic's new all-original Avengers game and Final Fantasy VII: Remake won't launch until mid-year of the current fiscal period.
