8BitDo has announced what it's calling its "most advanced controller to date" with the new Ultimate 3E for Xbox and PC gamers. With a wide range of pro-grade controllers on the market, one feature that sets the 8BitDo Ultimate 3E apart is its hot-swappable ABXY Module. You can choose between face buttons with crisp, tactile micro-switches or a more traditional silicone membrane feel.

The 8BitDo Ultimate 3E is chock-full of customization, including the ability to switch between a four-way or circular D-pad and swap out the thumbsticks for different heights and feel. And speaking of the thumbsticks, in addition to being magnetic Hall Effect sticks for drift-free gaming, they also feature the latest Tunneling Magnetoresistance sensor technology for accuracy and power efficiency.

The magnetic Hall-Effect tech also extends to the Impulse Triggers, which you can adjust for a snappier response in shooters or an analog feel in racing games. The 8BitDo Ultimate 3E also includes two programmable rear buttons, or paddles, plus two additional shoulder buttons (L4/R4), offering more low-latency input options.

As far as premium controllers go, the new SteelSeries Aeon Pro is certainly up there in terms of features, design, and innovation. On the latter, the SteelSeries Aeon Pro borrows a page from its premium audio solutions, like the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Omni wireless headset we recently reviewed, with its black-and-white OLED display, dock, and QuickSwitch System.

Connecting your PC and Xbox console to the dock lets you seamlessly switch between both gaming devices directly from the controller, with the integrated display making the process intuitive. And with the SteelSeries Aeon Pro's hot-swappable battery design, with two batteries included so one is always ready to go on the dock, you'll basically never run out of wireless juice while gaming.

As for the controller, SteelSeries calls it a "luxury" design, and it ticks the right boxes for a premium, pro-grade controller. It features Hall Effect thumbsticks with contactless sensors and replaceable caps for convex, concave, or standard grips. The triggers are customizable; it's got programmable back buttons, and each button uses a mechanical switch for snappy response and reliability.

Razer has announced and launched one of its most affordable and customizable mechanical gaming keyboards to date with the new Razer Reclusa X Mini 65%. Priced at $49.99 USD, it's the first keyboard in a new Reclusa lineup focused on customization, performance, and aesthetics.

The tri-tone design helps it stand out from other Razer keyboards, alongside the customization on offer. The Razer Reclusa X Mini 65% features a hot-swappable PCB compatible with 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches. Although it comes pre-installed with Razer Orange Tactile Mechanical Switches Gen-3, the hot-swappable design and touches like south-facing LEDs make it compatible with a wide range of switches and keycaps.

Although it sits on the affordable side for a mechanical gaming keyboard from Razer, the Razer Reclusa X Mini 65% is still tailor-made for enthusiasts. Construction-wise, it features two silicone damping layers to enhance acoustics and stability, while still supporting gaming-first features like Razer Snap Tap, Snap Flex, and Dual-Keypress Priority - stuff that you normally find on gaming keyboards with magnetic switches.

Bluetooth and USB-C controllers that either attach to or pair with a mobile device are fairly common; however, the new Razer Prio is described as an "ultra-mobile" gaming controller thanks to its unique foldable design. Built for iPhone and Android smartphones, the Razer Prio is a compact USB-C gaming controller built for portability.

When folded, Razer says the Prio is essentially the "size of a credit card," measuring 107 x 67 x 23mm. Although its 101-gram weight is heavier than your everyday card, it's considerably lighter than most mobile gaming controllers. The Razer Prio is designed for phones with screens up to 7 inches, so it pairs with flagship devices like the iPhone 17 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Even though it's compact, it still has all the buttons and functionality you expect from a modern gaming controller. The Razer Prio layout features symmetrical low-profile thumbsticks, a four-way D-pad, ABXY face buttons, bumpers, triggers, and additional buttons for accessing menus and system features. Interestingly, Razer notes this is its first controller to feature "capacitive analog thumbsticks" to reduce drift, making it as much a premium controller as it is a portable, compact one.

Released earlier this year, the Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike wireless gaming mouse's arrival was a game-changer for the competitive scene thanks to its innovative HITS feature. Basically, the left and right mouse clicks traded traditional optical switches for an adjustable 'Haptic Inductive Trigger System' similar to what you can find on analog or magnetic keyboards.

And now, after several leaks, including a trailer posted by Amazon (which it quickly removed), it looks like we're going to get a Logitech G Pro X3 Superstrike wireless gaming mouse sooner rather than later. As spotted by @jakeufps over on X (via PC Gamer), the 30-second trailer not only confirms the existence of the Logitech G Pro X3 Superstrike, but also confirms leaked information about its specs.

Based on what we see, it confirms that HITS has been upgraded compared to the original thanks to its new NxLogi chipset, alongside the Hero 2 sensor. The sensor upgrade includes a higher 48,000 DPI sensitivity rating, plus a new maximum acceleration of 90 G and a tracking speed of 930 IPS. The trailer also confirms that the Pro X3 Superstrike features improved latency of 0.3+ milliseconds, plus 50% more battery life for up to 135 hours of gaming.

Apple has quietly updated its Magic Keyboard lineup with a subtle design change. Several keys that previously used text labels now display glyphs instead, bringing the standalone keyboards in line with the MacBook Neo, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro keyboards that received the same treatment earlier this year.

The affected keys on all updated models are Tab, Caps Lock, Shift, Return, and Delete. On the full-size models with a numeric keypad, the change goes further, with Home, Page Up, Page Down, End, Clear, and Enter also swapping text labels for symbols.

Four models have been updated: the standard Magic Keyboard at $99, the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID at $149, and the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad in white at $179 and black at $199. The one model left untouched is the Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad without Touch ID.

With Gamescom 2026 kicking off in Germany this week, the massive conference is also home to hardware announcements, alongside a slew of game announcements. At the event, ASUS has announced two new gaming mice: the ROG Gladius IV Ace and the ROG Spatha X 65K. Both use ASUS's new AimPoint Pro 65K sensor, which delivers 65,000 DPI of precision and 11 selectable lift-off distances.

Outside of the sensor, these are two very different gaming mice. The ROG Gladius IV Ace is an ergonomic esports gaming mouse that ditches the traditional symmetrical design for something more comfortable for right-handed users. It also features customizable weight, with a 56-gram ultralight build that can be adjusted up to 71 grams with modular weights and eight ways to tweak the weight and feel.

Built for competitive gamers, in addition to the AimPoint Pro 65K sensor, the ROG Gladius IV Ace also offers "true 8K wireless" performance thanks to its use of the company's latest ROG SpeedNova 8K Gen II technology. According to ASUS, the new 8K Polling interface delivers 40% lower latency and better battery efficiency than the previous generation Gladius.

As a compact board, the 19.5mm front height makes it notably slimmer than its full-sized counterpart, but it still sports an angled layout to support natural wrist placement and finger movement. Under the hood, it also features foam dampening for acoustics and a smooth typing experience, plus lubrication for the Low-profile Analog Optical Switches.

If you're aware of Artisan Keycaps, these are custom and often handmade keycaps for keyboards that are basically collectibles or mini tabletop figurines. With intricate designs, there's a large aftermarket for Artisan Keycaps, as they often tie into pop culture, adding another layer of customization to modern mechanical and magnetic keyboards. Now, like most Artisan Keycaps, this is something of a collector's item, with Razer noting that it will be produced in highly limited quantities. And with that, as something created for hardcore PC gamers and Razer fans, the Razer Artisan Keycap - Triple-Headed Snake Edition does carry a high price tag for what's essentially a single keycap.

The new Corsair NIGHTSWORD v2 WIRELESS SD Stream Deck Gaming Mouse, as the name suggests, is the latest peripheral from the company to integrate some native Elgato Stream Deck functionality into the design. It's not quite as elaborate as the Corsair GALLEON 100 SD Mechanical Keyboard we reviewed earlier this year, because there isn't enough room on a mouse for an actual Stream Deck. Still, the design includes a large dedicated Stream Deck Launch Button.

This is notable because it provides an intuitive, quick way to open Elgato's Virtual Stream Deck, an on-screen version of the popular tactile tool for creators, streamers, and professionals. It requires installing Elgato Stream Deck software, but the functionality remains the same: quick access to shortcuts and workflows for games and apps.

The gaming side, in particular, is very cool, as it can be used to bring up a customizable inventory overlay in addition to triggering OBS functions and accessing community apps like Discord without leaving the on-screen action. Elgato's Virtual Stream Deck offers eight programmable buttons, with various profiles for popular games like Cyberpunk 2077, Pragmata, Resident Evil Requiem, ARC Raiders, Diablo IV, and Genshin Impact readily available via the Elgato Marketplace, tuned for the NIGHTSWORD v2 WIRELESS SD.

As a brand known for creating premium cooling solutions and cases, we reviewed German-based hardware maker be quiet!'s first gaming peripheral last year: the Light Mount Silent Gaming Keyboard. With a smooth linear response and near-silent acoustics, it was an impressive first board from the company. Cut to 2026 and be quiet! is launching its more compact counterpart, the Light Mount TKL.

Of course, as it has been a few years since we got the excellent Razer Naga V2 Pro (check out our review of it here), the Razer Naga V3 Pro brings several improvements and hardware updates to the table, or mousemat. First, there's the addition of the Razer HyperScroll Tilt Wheel Gen-2, the company's advanced scroll wheel that offers both familiar 24-step scrolling and a Precision Tactile mode with 48-step scrolling. Plus, it includes a Free-Spin mode for fast and smooth scrolling.

It's an impressive addition as it includes a very cool Smart-Reel mode that automatically shifts between tactile and free-spin modes based on scroll speed, customizable in Razer Synapse. That's not the only new addition, as the Razer Naga V3 Pro is also powered by the Razer Focus Pro 50K Optical Sensor Gen-3 with Optical Mouse Switches Gen-4 rated at 100-million clicks.

Noctua's fans and various cooling solutions are notable not only for their unique brown and tan colorways, but also for consistently delivering industry-leading performance and durability. Recently, the company partnered with Pulsar to release its first gaming mouse with active cooling, powered by the Noctua NF-A4x10 fan.

According to the company, adding a fan to the Pulsar Feinmann F01 Noctua Edition gaming mouse isn't as simple as it seems - at least not for a company that builds what it calls "custom-built torture-test rigs" to ensure that their fans perform as expected, without any issues.

To demonstrate the detail and rigorous testing that went into validating the Noctua NF-A4x10 fan for the Pulsar Feinmann F01 Noctua Edition gaming mouse, the company has posted a detailed article outlining its process. As a gaming mouse is a peripheral that is, more or less, in constant movement when in use, this led to the development of a custom machine to stress test horizontal in-plane movement with an asynchronous motor, gears, and other bits and pieces. Yes, it's a "custom-built torture-test rig" that essentially shakes the fan to replicate 20g acceleration force.

Razer has announced a pair of new keyboards for competitive gamers with the new Razer Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic 8KHz lineup. With customizable Hall Effect (HE) magnetic switches and 8000 Hz HyperPolling, the new Huntsman V3 HE keyboards are available in two form factors, TKL and compact Mini 65%.

Both are powered by custom Razer Hall Effect Magnetic Switches, which seem to be different from the Razer Analog Optical Switches Gen-2 that powered the recent Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL 8K. That said, overall performance looks to be similar for these more affordable gaming-focused options, with adjustable actuation from 0.1 to 4.0 mm, a 100-million keystroke lifespan, and 8000 Hz HyperPolling that Razer notes delivers competitive 0.60ms average latency.

Although they might lack the media buttons, control dial, and wrist rest of the Pro option, these new Razer Huntsman V3 HE Magnetic options are all about delivering the "absolute best in esports performance."

Logitech has confirmed it will ship wireless mice with user-replaceable batteries in Europe to comply with EU battery legislation taking effect in February 2027. The rest of the world will continue to receive the sealed versions it sells today. The company is doing something similar to Nintendo's approach with the Switch 2, where the change is limited to markets where the law requires it.

Robin Piispanen, Logitech's new head of gaming, explained the decision in an interview with The Verge. Logitech's current wireless mice use lightweight soft-pack lithium batteries, which the company says are not safe for users to replace themselves. To comply with the EU rules, Logitech will switch to hard-pack batteries housed in a more rigid casing that's less prone to punctures, while also selling certified replacement batteries.

The trade-off is that the European version will cost more to manufacture and weigh more. Since low weight is one of Logitech's biggest selling points for its gaming mice, the EU-compliant model sacrifices one of the company's core design priorities in exchange for repairability. Piispanen was candid about that trade-off, framing the change as a regulatory requirement rather than a consumer-focused feature.

MOZA is a brand that has been delivering an impressive line-up of racing, flight, and other simulation gear over the years. We've been going hands-on with MOZA's line-up for a while, from entry-level products for racing game fans through to flight controls for the diehard simmers and aerial explorers. Alongside announcing a bunch of new hardware, MOZA has also lifted the lid on its new HMA150 Motion System, the company's first "full-cockpit motion system."

Yes, with this cockpit you're no longer limited to haptic feedback on things like steering wheels, as it translates vehicle movement to actual movement and physical feedback throughout the entire cockpit. And it sounds impressively realistic and detailed, which is what simulation is all about.

"Built around four HMA150 Haptic Motion Actuators, the system reproduces pitch, roll and heave effects, including braking dive, acceleration, weight transfer, suspension movement, elevation changes, curb strikes, collisions and road surface vibration," MOZA confirms, adding that it supports 150mm of movement, speeds of 300mm/s, and vibration of up to 200 Hz.

Noctua and Pulsar Gaming Gears have launched the Feinmann F01 Noctua Edition, a gaming mouse with a 40mm Noctua NF-A4x10 fan built directly into its underside to keep your palm cool during long sessions. It is now available on Pulsar's official website and at authorised retailers for $179.95.

The mouse uses a carbon composite exoskeleton with ventilation cutouts throughout the body. This is done to both keep the weight down and to let the embedded fan push air directly upward toward your palm. The goal is to reduce hand sweat to maintain grip during extended or intense gaming, especially for professional e-sports players.

Fan speed is adjustable across multiple levels through a button and wheel combination or a web-based driver, and it can be turned off entirely when you do not need it. At 73 grams including the fan, the Feinmann F01 Noctua Edition is heavier than the standard Feinmann F01. For a mouse positioned around lightweight gaming, that is worth knowing before purchase. The Noctua colourway, predictably, is the familiar beige and brown that has become Noctua's signature across all its products.
