Red Dead Redemption 2's highly-anticipated PC version will be available on PC starting November 5, but only through the Epic Games Store and the new Rockstar Launcher. The Steam version will arrive a month later in December.

The PC version will include a number of visual upgrades and optimizations--4K resolution support and uncapped FPS are likely included, but no confirmations have been made yet.

RDR2 on PC also gets some singleplayer extras. But don't expect actual fully-fledged expansions.

"The first game in the Red Dead Redemption series to be featured on the PC platform, Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC features a range of graphical and technical enhancements for increased immersion along with new Bounty Hunting Missions, Gang Hideouts, Weapons and more."

This staggered launch approach will let Rockstar and Take-Two maximize their revenue take-homes thanks to the more lucrative platforms. EGS lets devs keep 88% of all game sales, and Rockstar of course keeps 100% of earnings from its launcher store purchases. Following up with Steam a month later will attract the 90 million users that frequent the platform and let Rockstar effectively re-sell the game during the busy holiday season.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out on PC on November 5, 2019 on the Epic Games Store and the Rockstar Launcher for $59.99. It'll come to Steam a month later in December.

More details like technical spec requirements, screenshots, and more will be revealed on October 8.
