Age of Empries fans can rejoice, as Microsoft has cheekily teased some new Age of Empires news to be announced at Gamescom 2019.
The official Age of Empires Twitter account has posted out a quick teaser for Age of Empires fans that are planning on tuning into Gamescom 2019. The account has said that Microsoft will be having a presence at Gamescom 2019 with Age of Empires, and that they will be holding a presentation on Monday, August 19th @ 17:00 CEST / 8 a.m. PT. The presentation will be live streamed on Microsoft's Mixer.
The specific details of what we are going to see weren't disclosed, but we can expect to either see at least one of the following; a specific release date for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, information about Age of Empires IV, or a teaser to Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition. Back in early July, Adam Isgreen, the Age of Empires Creative Director said that fans would "hear more about Age of Empires IV by XO" which is scheduled for November.
Full quote: "As you know, there are two major events right now - Gamescom and XO - that Microsoft always does stuff for. So one or the other, maybe? I can't be specific, but suffice to say that we've got Gamescom coming up, and then XO later this year in London, so at the latest, you'll hear more about Age of Empires IV by XO."
