We reviewed the original 4K-ready Elgato Facecam Pro a couple of years ago, and we were impressed by its pristine image quality, 4K60 capture capabilities, and ease of use. Earning an Editor's Choice Award, it's hard to think how a follow-up webcam could offer improvements outside of a few minor updates.

It seems that you can always trust the creators and streaming experts at Elgato to deliver something that sounds like a worthy upgrade. Meet the new Elgato Facecam 4K. It's the first 4K60 webcam with lens filter support, delivering DSLR-like quality and features powered by a pro-grade Sony STARVIS 2 sensor with uncompressed UHD or 4K output.
With support for 49mm lens filters, enabling cinematic effects such as diffusion and reflection reduction at the lens level, the new Elgato Facecam 4K introduces the capabilities of a professional camera to the webcam market for the first time.

When paired with Elgato's Camera Hub app, users gain direct DSLR-like control over ISO, shutter speed settings, exposure, noise reduction, and panning and tilting controls. The app also includes LUTs for professional-level color grading and HDR support, offering a range of curated presets to choose from. GeForce RTX owners also get access to RTX-powered background blur for a high-quality depth-of-field effect.
The Elgato Facecam 4K's Prime Lens is also designed to maintain pristine sharpness up to 1.2 meters, with the 1/1.8" Sony STARVIS 2 sensor delivering the detail and color accuracy. And when you add the "state-of-the-art" image processor that handles encoding and other video features, the 4K image is presented with no compression and ultra-low latency.
And best of all, it's available for a low price point, with the Elgato Facecam 4K carrying a $199.99 USD MSRP.

"Back in 2022, we engineered the world's first 4K60 webcam," said Julian Fest, General Manager at Elgato. "Facecam 4K builds on this technology with better image quality and more creative control, at a price more people can afford. What once cost thousands of dollars in camera gear now sits comfortably on your monitor."
