When NVIDIA formally announced the GeForce RTX 5060 Series, it provided an in-depth look at the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti (starting from $379) while also confirming that the mainstream GeForce RTX 5060 (starting from $299) was on track for a May 2025 launch.

PNY GeForce RTX 5060 OC 8GB GDDR7 GPU has appeared on Best Buy's site for $299.99.
With the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti now out in the wild - check out our reviews here - rumors are pointing to the RTX 5060 launching on May 19, which is when Computex 2025 kicks off in Taipei. Outside of a potential GeForce RTX 5050, the RTX 5060 could be the final discrete desktop RTX Blackwell launch for 2025, until a potential SUPER refresh sometime in 2026.
As the successor to the GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 4060, it's also poised to become the best-selling model in the GeForce RTX 50 Series lineup.
The $299 MSRP also means that the GeForce RTX 5060 will launch with the same MSRP as the GeForce RTX 4060 while being cheaper than the GeForce RTX 3060's launch price of $329. If 2025 has taught us anything, MSRP pricing for GPUs is mostly wishful thinking. Thankfully, this might not be the case for the RTX 5060 as an early retail listing of an overclocked model from PNY is currently priced at under $300 at Best Buy.
Priced at $299.99, PNY GeForce RTX 5060 OC 8GB GDDR7 GPU features a Boost Clock speed of 2.54 GHz and a TGP rating of only 145W. With a compact two-slot, twin-fan design and a weight of only 644 grams, this is set to be one of the smallest and lightest GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs to date. Using a cut-down version of the same GB206 GPU found in the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, leaked specs have also confirmed that the GeForce RTX 5060 is set to ship with 3840 CUDA Cores, which is a 25% increase over the RTX 4060.
Of course, overall performance will determine the GPU's overall value; however, if it is 25-30% faster than the GeForce RTX 4060, thanks to DLSS 4, it could be a worthwhile mainstream option.
