JSAUX Gaming has created several accessories for a wide range of handhelds and other devices over the years, and its latest is targeting Nintendo Switch 2 owners who want to keep their brand-new console quiet and cool when gaming. The new JSAUX Cooling Fan for Nintendo Switch 2 is a clip-on cooling accessory for the Switch 2, designed to provide cooling exactly as advertised.

Nintendo Switch 2 games can cause the console's temperature to rise to 40 degrees Celsius, according to JSAUX. The JSAUX Cooling Fan can help reduce the device's temperature by 2-8 degrees in just 4-8 minutes. The unit features a knob that allows you to adjust the fan speed to find the optimal setting.

JSAUX also notes that the compact clip-on design of the Switch 2 Cooling Fan was designed with handheld gaming in mind, offering "heat dissipation without compromising portability or usability." Deus Ex is akin to the PC gaming world's Blade Runner, a genre-defining release that has gone on to influence designers and developers for decades. Blending cyberpunk role-playing, stealth, and first-person action helped create the 'immersive sim' genre of shooters, which offered a lot more than just simple run-and-gun action.

The first two games in the series were developed by Ion Storm, with creator Warren Spector at the helm. Deus Ex took half a decade from concept to become the game PC gamers love, with it starting as a near-future shooter called Troubleshooter. Following this, mass production and an official external announcement are expected in the second half of 2026. This move is interpreted as an attempt to challenge Samsung's dominance in the foldable phone market.

Samsung already has many generations (six) of foldable smartphones on the market, and is about to launch its new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldable smartphones in the days ahead. Virtuous is a prolific studio that has worked on some of the biggest ports, remasters, and franchises since its inception twenty years ago. From Call of Duty to Dark Souls, the studio's most recent claim to fame was leading development on the well-received The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, which it worked on alongside Bethesda Game Studios.

In a new interview with Eoin O'Grady, technical director at Virtuos, over at Wccftech, the developer opens up about the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware and its capabilities to consoles like the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox Series S, which is the affordable cut-down variant of Microsoft's flagship Xbox Series X.

The Switch 2 features a custom NVIDIA APU based on the RTX 30 Series' Ampere architecture, as opposed to the custom AMD hardware found in the PS4 and Xbox Series S. When it comes to the CPU side of the equation, O'Grady notes that the Switch 2 is "just a bit more powerful than the PS4." However, things get interesting once DLSS enters the picture.

According to the latest Steam Hardware & Software Survey results, which were released last week, Windows 11 remains the dominant operating system for the PC gaming platform. With 59.8% of PC gamers using Windows 11, it has comfortably held the lead over Windows 10 for quite some time.

MSI Afterburner developer "Unwinder" posted on the Guru3D forums to talk about the launch of the new beta of MSI Afterburner, which has AMD RDNA 4 GPU architecture support. MSI doesn't make or sell any Radeon RX 9000 series "RDNA 4" graphics cards, with Unwinder saying "so support for this GPU family inside the application is completely unofficial".

Not only do we have unofficial RDNA 4 GPU support, but the new MSI Afterburner beta also supports "future" NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs, which means it could be the RTX 5050 for both desktop and laptop.

We've seen Chinese companies using loopholes like renting AI GPUs or accessing them through Southeast Asian countries like Malaysia and Thailand.

The US Commerce Department is preparing a draft for China that would see new restrictions on accessing AI chips through backdoors in Malaysia and Thailand, with claims that both countries would be slapped with increased restrictions. One of the new methods would be allowing AI chip exports into nations only if they're used by those companies that have headquarters in the United States and are operating subsidiaries in Malaysia and Thailand.

NVIDIA has just unleashed DLSS 4 upscaling support into Unreal Engine 5.6, allowing game developers to add the latest AI upscaling technology into UE5.6-based titles.

NVIDIA launched its new GeForce RTX 50 series "Blackwell" GPUs earlier this year, which support DLSS 4 upscaling, but before game developers can add DLSS 4 into their games, the company must make an official plugin... and today is that day for Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5.6.

Unreal Engine 5 already supports NVIDIA DLSS 4 upscaling for various versions of the engine in the 5.0 series, but Unreal Engine 5.5 and 5.6 have just received their own DLSS 4 plugin, which has been made available on NVIDIA's website.

The latest CPU-Z v2.16 update includes support for more AMD RDNA 4 and NVIDIA RTX 50 series GPUs, as well as multiple new AMD Ryzen CPUs.

CPU-Z v2.16 is a popular hardware monitoring tool that has had multiple new components added to its database, including the Navi 44-based Radeon RX 9060 XT that launched last month, which is AMD's latest RDNA 4-based GPU in both 8GB and 16GB configurations. NVIDIA's flagship GeForce RTX 5090 loses over 25% of its performance in professional video editing workloads when it isn't fed its full PCIe bandwidth in new testing.

The folks over at Puget Systems have tested the GeForce RTX 5090 to see what performance impact there is when the card is under limited PCIe bandwidth, as there are situations in particular systems when this is a major issue. Some users may have the RTX 5090 inside of a system that has another add-in card that is using those precious PCIe lanes, and that reduces the performance of the GPU.

Puget Systems started the testing with After Effects where the RTX 5090 loses a large chunk of performance when the GPU drops from PCIe 5.0 x16 to PCIe 3.0 x4 with over 10% performance loss, while the same performance loss is noticed with DaVinci Resolve where over 20% performance is lost when the GPU is running in PCIe 3.0 x4 with performance also being lost when the number of lanes is dropped from x16 and x4 in the same Gen5 slot. This means multiple AICs on your motherboard can definitely have a huge performance impact on the RTX 5090.

The Forza Motorsport franchise is reportedly on ice due to Xbox's recent layoffs.

Microsoft just laid off hundreds of Xbox employees as part of a company-wide restructuring plan. Xbox CEO Phil Spencer says that the cuts were made as a result of Microsoft's new focus on "removing layers of management to increase agility and effectiveness," and that entire parts of the Xbox business will wind down or stop completely.

The layoffs have resulted in cancellations of multiple projects and the shuttering of California-based Xbox studio The Initiative. Reports also indicated that around 50% of Turn 10's employees had been laid off--Turn 10 is a UK studio responsible for the popular Forza racing series. Now it has surfaced that these layoffs at Turn 10 have effectively canceled the Forza Motorsport franchise. It's worth noting that bit of information has not been confirmed by Microsoft, however Xbox Game Studios boss Matt Booty did say in a memo that the team decided to "wind down several unannounced projects across our portfolio," and that the steps represent a "broader effort to adjust priorities and focus resources to set up our teams for greater success within a changing industry landscape."

The Communication Workers of America (CWA) labor union has made a formal statement condemning the recent Xbox layoffs.

Microsoft's recent layoffs have affected 9,000 workers total, with Xbox closing down a studio, cancelling multiple projects, and laying off people across all disciplines. Some of these workers were represented by the CWA labor union, especially those affected by ZeniMax / Bethesda layoffs. In 2024, key members of Bethesda Game Studios voted to unionize, joining alongside a sister union at ZeniMax Workers United.

Now CWA president Claude Cummings Jr. has delivered a press release that responds to the layoffs, saying that the organization will use the company's decision to shed workers as leverage when negotiating new deals with Microsoft.

The UK Royal Navy and its partnership with the British Esports Federation have installed a first-of-its-kind 'Esports Suite' on board an active Navy warship.

The HMS Prince of Wales now has an esports office that features 8 x Alienware PCs that feature high-end GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards, a console gaming station, and a bunch of LEDs that'll make you feel like you're right at home. The UK Royal Navy has recognized esports as a "military sport" since March 2024, actively encouraging involvement for both seamen and civilians.

3D printers can make some weird and wonderful things, but scientists at the University of Hong Kong in China are taking it to the next level by experimenting with technology that is 3D printing functional organ tissue.

In a new report from the South China Morning Post, we're hearing that Professor Michael Chan and his researchers have developed a new system that involves organ tissue that isn't just 3D printed, but lab-grown. The combination of the two, as well as a custom organoid, ensures that there's a lower chance of the 3D-printed organ being rejected by the patient.

Professor Chan said that 3D printed biomaterial isn't something totally new, and that it can't perform the right functions without cells pertaining to the organ that it is replacing. This is where the researchers' organoid embedding is involved, with the organoids created using stem cells from the patient that makes sure they don't just function, but also have genetic compatibility.

Elon Musk's xAI will be buying an overseas power plant and shipping the entire thing to the United States, so that it can use the additional power to drive its new AI data center.

It's definitely quite interesting that xAI would be buying a power plant from overseas and having it shipped to the US, but Elon's AI startup needs as much power as it can get.
