Yesterday we saw the announcement of 'Conan Unconquered', a new real-time strategy game that is being developed by the veterans at Petroglyph Games and published by Funcom. Both developers and publishers have commented on the recent announcement.
In a recent press release, we have comments from both Funcom CEO, Rui Casais and also Petroglyph CEO, Chuck Kroegel. Casais explains that him and his team are enjoying working with the team at Petroglyph, and that Casais feels as if that love is reciprocated back towards their company mutually. As a bi-product of this mutual connection, both companies believe this "team effort in every sense" will be what makes Conan Unconquered a "exciting game that continues to get better every day."
In final, Petroglyph CEO Chuck Kroegel has said that "Partnering with Funcom has truly made this Conan game experience unconquerable!" If you are a fan of strategy games and are curious about what a strategy game could offer you in the universe of Conan the Barbarian, a further description on Conan Unconquered can be found here. Conan Unconquered will be available in Q2 of 2019. A Steam listing for the title can be found here.
"It is both a professional and personal honor to be working with the genre veterans at Petroglyph," said Funcom CEO Rui Casais. "My first love is strategy games and I spent endless hours playing Dune 2 back in the day. The current team at Petroglyph is responsible for some truly great strategy games, including Star Wars: Empire at War, and I can think of no one better to bring to life the first ever strategy game set in the world of Conan the Barbarian."
"We're extremely happy to be working with Funcom on a game that uses the compelling backstory of Conan's Black Colossus," said Petroglyph CEO Chuck Kroegel. "Both companies have worked very close, developing new technology and ideas that truly made this a team effort in every sense. The iconic creatures, villains, and heroes of the Conan universe have contributed greatly to what our early beta testers indicate is a really fun and exciting game that continues to get better every day. Partnering with Funcom has truly made this Conan game experience unconquerable!"
