Funcom has revealed in a new press release that Dune: Awakening sales have surpassed 1,000,000 copies, making it the fastest-selling Funcom game to date.

The new MMO survival crafting RPG, Dune: Awakening, was launched on June 10, and since then, it has been received really well by gamers, with the Steam Store listing for the game landing on a "Very Positive" average for All Reviews.
Developer Funcom is celebrating the title's success with a new press release that states Dune: Awakening reached a peak concurrent player count of over 189,000 players, eclipsing the peak concurrent player count of Conan Exiles, which was 54,403 players.
Dune: Awakening has sold more than 1 million copies, and players have used a staggering 121,653,795 building pieces, died 68,883 times to sandstorms, crafted 517,585 Ornithopters, consumed 6,110,692,000 grams of Spice, died 816,720 times to Shai-Hulud, and much more.

"Dune: Awakening players are often referred to as Sleepers (play the game, you'll get it), but it must be noted that they certainly don't live up to that title, because they have been busy since launch.
Launch has been a Coriolis storm, and we're still riding that mighty gale. We have seen so many amazing things from all our players - the bases, the close calls with Shai-Hulud, the epic vehicle jumps, the struggles, discoveries, victories, heroic deaths, and so much more," writes Funcom
