TL;DR: The Wooting 60HE V2 gaming keyboard, showcased at Computex 2025, features advanced Lekker Tikken Switches with full 4mm travel and enhanced sound, a robust aluminum case, and innovative True 8K Polling for precise input. Launching in Q4 2025, it offers standard and split space bar 60% layouts for competitive gamers.

The follow-up to the iconic Wooting 60HE gaming keyboard has arrived, and we saw it at Computex 2025. For those who need a refresher, the Wooting 60HE introduced adjustable actuation and 'Rapid Trigger' to gaming keyboards, changing the trajectory for keyboards designed for competitive gamers.

The Wooting team has been working on the Wooting 60HE V2 for a few years now, and the results are impressive. The most immediate difference is how great and responsive the new Lekker Tikken Switches feel, and more importantly (to some), sound. The reason for this is simple, with Wooting explaining that it's the first closed-bottom Hall-effect or adjustable magnetic switch with the full 4mm range for travel.

Throw in a PET layer of film underneath the switch to further enhance the "marbly" sound, and the difference between the Wooting 60HE and Wooting 60HE V2 is night and day. And we say that because Wooting placed both keyboards next to each other to let us feel the difference first-hand.

The Wooting 60HE V2 has many layers, literally, including the PCB, switch plate, Poron, bottom case dampening, silicone, and optional EPDM foam. All of this is wrapped in a full aluminum case that is robust and weighty in all the right ways. The minimal design is reminiscent of the original, but the V2 is an evolution.

Another cool feature is what the company is calling "True 8K Polling." 8K or 8,000 Hz is not unusual for a modern premium gaming keyboard, but here Wooting is using its "Tachyon Mode" to ensure perfect sync by scanning each analog key. To add to the accuracy, it also disables any RGB lighting or effects.

Wooting 60HE V2 is expected to launch in Q4 2025 and will be available in two versions: the standard 60% layout and form factor, and the 60% layout with a split space bar featuring a customizable key in the middle. For those looking for pure gaming performance in a keyboard, this is definitely one to keep an eye on.
