AMD RX 9060 XT GPUs spotted on Amazon with a June 5 release date (and ridiculous pricing)

Fancy paying $450 for the RX 9060 XT 8GB? No, neither do we, and Amazon's pricing must surely be placeholders (as is often the case with early listings).

TL;DR: AMD's RX 9060 XT has been spotted at Amazon, with product listings for XFX GPUs carrying a June 5 release date. There are also price tags of $450 for the 8GB model, and $520 for the 16GB variant, although those are surely placeholders. Hopefully we won't have long to wait to find out.

AMD's RX 9060 XT is rumored to be going on sale in June - following a supposed May 21 reveal at Computex - and it looks like Amazon might have spilled the intended release date.

VideoCardz flagged up that Amazon has posted a pair of listings for the XFX Swift Radeon RX 9060 XT OC Gaming Edition, one for the 8GB version and another for the 16GB model.

Price tags are provided - the 8GB variant is $450 and the 16GB flavor is $520 - and the release date is marked as June 5.

Now, we need to take all that with a huge sack-full of salt. Indeed, the prices are surely placeholders of the wild-guess variety. If AMD is thinking that this 8GB graphics card is worth something like $450, well, clearly that's nonsense.

Recent rumors (Moore's Law is Dead) have asserted that AMD is looking more at the $350 mark (maybe a bit above that, or even below, perhaps) and that's for the 16GB model, not the 8GB card.

The release date is a more interesting nugget, though, given that the rumor is AMD will wait until June to get RX 9060 XT GPUs on shelves. If this is correct, we're looking at pretty early in June, which is good news for those thinking about alternatives to NVIDIA's RTX 5060 Ti (or indeed the vanilla 5060 when it turns up on May 19).

Of course, even if this is correct based on the info Amazon has from AMD now, Team Red could yet change the release timing (based on how production is running with Navi 44 chips, perhaps). Or Amazon could just be guessing here, as with the pricing, but it's interesting to get an indication that we're looking at the first week of June for the RX 9060 XT (hopefully).
