Curious as to what the PC spec requirements are for Elden Ring Nightreign? Well, wonder no longer, as FromSoftware has let us know what the next instalment in the franchise will ask for hardware-wise.
As you can see from the above post on X, there's some good news on the GPU front, as Nightreign isn't hugely taxing on the graphics front (assuming you don't want to crank the details, naturally).
The developer tells us that it'll be possible to run Nightreign with an NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB or AMD RX 580 4GB, although as this is the minimum requirement, don't expect a great experience.
The baseline CPU is an Intel Core i5-10600 or AMD Ryzen 5 5500, which again is nicely accommodating, with the one sticking point for those with lower-spec PCs perhaps being the minimum RAM which is 12GB. Although at this point, if you're still stuck in an 8GB world, you really need to be considering an upgrade (which shouldn't be expensive).
The recommended requirements up the stakes to 16GB of RAM (as you'd fully expect) and an NVIDIA GTX 1070 8GB or AMD RX Vega 56 8GB. For the CPU, you'll need an Intel Core i5-11500 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600 (or better).
Perhaps the biggest hurdle of all here is that Windows 11 is recommended, whereas Windows 10 is down as a minimum requirement - and of course there are still plenty of gamers running the latter.
Elden Ring: Nightreign puts a different spin on the Soulslike formula in that it's designed around multiplayer, specifically a three-player co-op experience.
Meanwhile, we just discovered that Elden Ring has sold over 30 million copies globally, boosted by The Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. That makes it one of the best-selling franchises in gaming history, now up there with Cyberpunk 2077 and Dying Light for all-time sales.
