The Apple Vision Pro is only available in the United States right now, with prices starting from $3,499 which is a price that is enough to put a lot of people off. But Apple is thought to be working on a new, cheaper version, and a fix for the limited availability is also thought to be on the way. According to a new report, Apple is working on a global launch in China soon.

We've heard that Apple wants to ship the headset to new countries before the end of the year, and Apple says as much on its own website. But the company has so far refused to say which countries will be included nor when the launches will actually happen. Now, writing in the weekly Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman says that Apple intends to launch the headset in China in the very near future.

China is one country that had previously been rumored for an imminent launch and there are others on that list, but China is the only country mentioned in the Bloomberg newsletter. That could mean that China will be on its own on a list of the next release countries, but we can surely expect others to arrive in due course.

The same Bloomberg newsletter notes that Apple is not expected to have a second-generation Apple Vision Pro ready until 2026, and the company is also thought to be working on a cheaper alternative, too. However, Apple is thought to be struggling to figure out what features or components it can remove from the Apple Vision Pro to meet its cheaper target price point.

While Apple gets ready to take the Apple Vision Pro spatial computer global, it's also thought to be readying new iPads as well. A new OLED iPad Pro in both 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes is tipped for a May release while we also expect Apple to revamp the iPad Air lineup if previous reports are any indication. The word on the street is that the 11-inch iPad Air will be joined by an all-new 12.9-inch version for the first time, offering large iPad buyers a choice rather than spending big and getting an iPad Pro.

The new iPad Pros are tipped to get upgraded chips in the form of the M3, while the iPad Air tablets are both expected to ditch the older M1 and replace it with the more recent M2 chips instead. No overall design changes are expected, however.
