WPC is committed to the open development of the Qi wireless charging standard, with Apple joining over 200 companies that belong to the consortium: including Samsung, HTC, Qualcomm, Dell, Nokia, Huawei, and many more.

Qi is the leading wireless charging standard, used by over 200 companies in hundreds of different devices. Apple joining the wireless charging ranks is only a good thing, after years of having 'the best smartphone ever made' it never had something as awesome as wireless charging... until now.
