The Battlefield 6 open beta has directly translated to boosted pre-orders, with one analyst estimating over 600,000 people have bought the game ahead of time on Steam.

Battlefield 6 exploded onto the FPS market with a chaotically fun open beta, driving tons of buzz. The beta attracted half a million people on Steam, which is more peak players than any Call of Duty game in history.
BF6 is also currently the top #1 best-selling premium game on Steam right now. Battlefield 6 has actually kept this position for two weeks now.

According to Alinea Analytics, DICE's new shooter may have sold over 600,000 pre-orders on Steam, which is nearly 80,000 more than the beta's peak player count. This would equate to around ~$35 million in sales revenue, the firm notes.
"Our Steam data shows that Battlefield 6 - despite not launching until October 10 - has already pulled in 605K Steam pre-orders," Alinea Analytics Rhys Elliott writes in an update.
"This amounts to revenues of around $35 million on Steam alone. Battlefield 6 was even last week's #2 Steam game by revenues and #3 game by copies sold (more on that later)."
Remember that this is only a portion of BF6 pre-orders. Steam isn't even the only platform gamers can access BF6 on PC, with EA also offering the game in its EA App storefront launcher.
As per EA financials, consoles make more revenue than PC for the company, so we should expect Battlefield 6 sales to be weighted to these platforms as a result.
Battlefield 6 will be monetized with optional microtransactions and battle passes to buoy revenue long after sale.
