Razer's DeathAdder is an iconic PC gaming mouse that the company has continued to evolve for nearly twenty years. From its ergonomic shape to its reliable performance, it has been a go-to peripheral for competitive gamers and esports professionals for a long time. And with over 20 million DeathAdders sold to date, Razer has announced the next evolution of the iconic mouse - the new Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro.

Per the headline, the new Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro is an ultra-lightweight wireless gaming mouse, weighing in at just 56 grams. Interestingly, that's for the Black version, as the White variant weighs 57 grams. Razer notes that the new DeathAdder V4 Pro is the first mouse from the company to debut with its new Razer HyperSpeed Wireless Gen 2 technology, which is 63% more power-efficient than the previous generation with 37% lower latency.

This allows the DeathAdder V4 Pro to provide over 150 hours of battery life with the 1,000 Hz Polling Rate. The new mouse also supports both 8000 Hz polling in wired and wireless modes, for absolute peak performance. Designed in collaboration with esports pros, things get even more impressive when you take a peek inside.

Underneath the hood, you'll also find Razer's most cutting-edge sensor, the Razer Focus Pro 45K Optical Sensor Gen 2. The specs on this device are impressive (and more than a bit overkill for most users), with a sensitivity of 45,000 DPI, a tracking speed of 900 IPS, and 85G acceleration.

Another first for the new DeathAdder is the inclusion of an Optical Scroll Wheel, which the company says offers "triple the durability and consistent, tactile control" compared to traditional mechanical scroll wheels. Plus, the all-new Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-4, redesigned for a crisper "enhanced click feel."

"Every millisecond matters in esports, and the DeathAdder V4 Pro is built to deliver that competitive edge," said Jeffrey Chau, Global Esports Director at Razer. "The DeathAdder V4 Pro is the result of years of collaboration with the world's top players. It's not just an upgrade - it's a complete redefinition of what a high-performance ergonomic mouse can be."
