Details for the upcoming survival MMO Dune: Awakening have been released, such as the PC requirements, roadmap for new content, and if the game will have an early access period.
The information comes from the title Creative Director Joel Bylos, who explains in a short and sweet video posted on the Funcom YouTube channel that reveals the developer's intentions with Dune: Awakening when it comes to its business model and post-launch plans.
The details have also been outlined in a blog post where it states the title will not have an early access period when it launches, it will be the full game, there won't be a subscription, which typically comes in the form of a monthly recurring payment, and how the developers plan on expanding the game through free major updates that will add more content, features, and enhancements to the experience.
Bylos also says there will be the option of paid DLCs and a season pass, which grants buyers access to all upcoming and available DLCs. However, DLCs can still be bought individually. While there isn't going to be an early access period, Funcom is giving players who purchase the deluxe and ultimate editions of the game the option to join a pre-release server stress test that happens on May 15, with the game's full release scheduled to take place on May 20. As for the upcoming DLCs, the first pass includes four DLCs.

The PC requirements have also been revealed for Dune: Awakening, with Funcom recommending at least a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or an AMD Radeon 5600XT (6GB of VRAM), 16GB of RAM, and an Intel Core i5-7400 or AMD Ryzen 3 12000 to run the game at 1080p 30FPS.

Pre-orders for Dune: Awakening are now live.
