TL;DR: Overwatch 2 Season 17 launches June 24 with new 80s-themed maps, including Aatlis in Morocco, and a unique map voting system. Players can access Mythic skins for D.Va and Reaper, a refreshed Stadium mode with rank resets, and a Premium Battle Pass featuring exclusive cosmetics and rewards.

Blizzard is cooking up Overwatch 2 Season 7 next week with a bunch of new upgrades, maps, and more... all with a sleek 80s throwback aesthetic. Check out the trailer below:

Overwatch 2's upcoming Season 17 will let players choose between three randomized maps ahead of their matches, with the maps not selected by the vote itself, instead each of the votes will add a 1-in-10 chance that the map will be chosen in the end with a final roulette style decision. Your voting is hidden from other players, with leavers being penalized as soon as voting starts for anyone who dives out of the round early.

On the first day of Season 17, there will be new Mythic Skins for both D.Va and Reaper, with the D.Va Mythic Horang Hero Skin with four stages of evolving tiers, as well as Reaper's new Mythic Steel Death Weapon Skin, with both of the Mythic skins available in the Mythic Shop for 80 Mythic Prisms.

Overwatch 2 Season 17 will also throw new maps into the mix with a new Flashpoint map called Aatlis, set in Morocco. Aatlis will be available in Core, while the other two maps -- Esperanca and Samoa -- will be headed into the Stadium game mode. Season 17 will also reset everyone's Stadium rank, so players can start fresh. There'll also be a new Stadium Forge which will be introduced by Blizzard as a "create/save/share system to test and refine your team comps".

Overwatch 2 Season 17 will kick off on June 24 with a new Powered Up event spanning June 24 to 30. During this event, players will compete in 17 matches in Quick Play, Competitive, and Stadium, earning four Epic loot boxes that guarantee new Legendary skins.
