After nearly two decades, Alienware is bringing back its Aurora class of gaming laptops as a more affordable alternative to its flagship Area 51 designs. With two variants, the Alienware 16 Aurora and the Alienware 16X Aurora, these new laptops are powered by Intel Core (Series 2) and Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors with up to a GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU. The 16X also offers up to 64GB of fast DDR5 memory and 4TB of storage.

Visually, they look fantastic with a blue Interstellar Indigo satin finish and an iridescent Alienware logo badge. The latter, with a curved shape designed for ergonomics and thermal performance, is powered by the new Cryo-Chamber located on the rear underside of the Alienware Aurora design. It includes four exhaust vents, three copper heat pipes, air in-takes above the keyboard and in the Cryo-Chamber, and ultra-thin fans.
Both variants sport a 16-inch high refresh-rate QHD+ display, with the Alienware 16X Aurora's display sporting a 240 Hz refresh rate, 500-nit brightness, 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy, and NVIDIA G-SYNC support. Impressive stuff.

The new Alienware 16 Aurora and the Alienware 16X Aurora gaming laptops are designed for gaming, productivity, and portability. They have lightweight builds (starting at 2.66kg), support one-handed opening, and feature all of their ports on the rear for improved cable management. They also come equipped with a Stealth mode, where a press of the F7 key switches the laptop into a more efficient state for non-gaming tasks.

Select Alienware 16 Aurora and the Alienware 16X Aurora gaming laptops are available now, starting from $1,149 USD. The Alienware 16 Aurora is considered the more entry-level option with GeForce RTX 3050, RTX 4050, RTX 5050, RTX 5060, and RTX 5070 models, with the Alienware 16X Aurora shipping in either GeForce RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 form.
