Bethesda paywalls new Oblivion Remastered quests and armor
Bethesda has officially showcased Oblivion Remastered in a recent livestream, where the company unveiled the incredible visual overhaul on the nearly 20-year-old game.
Oblivion Remastered was leaked online ahead of the official unveiling, and following a slew of rumors pointing to Bethesda making the highly anticipated title immediately available after it was officially showcased, the game is currently available to download. Yes, that's right, it's already out, and on every platform besides the Nintendo Switch (Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5. Bethesda has launched Oblivion Remastered in two editions: Standard and Deluxe.
The company didn't go into the differences between these editions during the livestream, but heading over to the Bethesda website listing for Oblivion Remastered, I quickly noticed additional content, such as quests that reward armor, isn't included in the Standard Edition. According to the Deluxe Edition listing, buyers will unlock new quest lines that will reward players with "unique digital Akatosh and Mehrunes Dagon Armors, Weapons, and Horse Armor Sets."

Oblivion remastered uses a new level system that mixes Oblivion and Skyrim progression
The Oblivion remaster is out now on all platforms and includes some changes to leveling dynamics, Bethesda and Virtuos have confirmed.
The rumors were right: Today Bethesda revealed the Oblivion remaster in all of its Unreal Engine 5 glory, complete with major visual overhauls to graphics, dynamic lighting, and everything in between. The teams have also made some big changes to leveling and overall game mechanics.
While details are light because the game just dropped, the Oblivion remaster developers say the game's leveling system has been updated with Skyrim mechanics. This presumably means the remaster could use Oblivion's overall leveling system with Skyrim's level scaling.
Microsoft's latest push to drive Windows 11 upgrades goes over benefits of TPM security (again)
Microsoft is once again banging the drum to encourage folks to upgrade to Windows 11, and has outlined the security benefits of doing so in a new blog post.
Neowin noticed the recently published article in the Windows Learning Center, which has seen a fair few additions of late in terms of cajoling Windows 10 users to make the leap to Windows 11.
It's entitled 'What is Trusted Platform Module in Windows 11?' and as you'd expect, the post explains not just that, but the benefits of TPM 2.0, which is part of the compulsory system requirements for Windows 11.

Xbox CEO: Consoles are a 'good, established business' and a 'really healthy part' of Game Pass
Console gaming might not be growing, but the platform remains an a foundational bedrock to Microsoft's subscription plans.
In the FTC v Microsoft trial, we heard Xbox executives lament the sluggish growth of the console market. The segment appears to be saturated--at least in Xbox's case, and dwindling hardware sales may suggest saturation--leading Microsoft to try break off-platform and decentralize its games and content through widespread services, not circumventing console necessarily, but adding new ways to access games. Xbox Cloud Gaming and PC Game Pass are the biggest expansions of this plan.
But what about consoles? Many speculate Xbox will stop making consoles altogether and go the way of SEGA. That isn't likely, though, especially given Microsoft sells billions of dollars worth of games, content, and services on Xbox consoles. These systems are simply too lucrative to cut out entirely--a sentiment I have repeated frequently.

Logitech quietly adds 25% price increase to its PC hardware
Logitech has quietly upped its prices on select PC hardware following President Trump's US import tariffs against China, with prices on some products increasing by as much as 25%.
Research conducted by YouTuber Cameron Dougherty has revealed that Logitech has increased its prices for its tech gear across the United States, which includes some of the company's flagship products, such as the MX Master 3S mouse and K400 Plus Wireless Touch Keyboard. Notably, while some products have experienced a sharp price increase, others have been discounted, such as the G Pro X Superlight gaming mouse dropping from $159.99 to $149.99.
As for what has increased, reports indicate Logitech has bumped the price of the MX Keys S keyboard to $130, which is an 18% price increase compared to what it was before. Additionally, the MX Master 3S mouse has jumped 20% from $100 to $120, and the K400 Plus Wireless Touch keyboard has hiked from $28 to now $35, a 22% price increase. While the price jumps were expected following President Trump's sweeping trade tariffs against China, the location where many PC hardware sellers manufacture their products, Logitech, didn't make a formal announcement about the price increases.

NASA confirms it has no idea where this Martian rock came from
NASA's Mars rover has stumbled across a rock that has researchers scratching their heads, as its color starkly contrasts with the surface of the Red Planet.
NASA's Mars rover Perseverance has been exploring the surface of Mars since 2021, and throughout its travels in the Jezero Crater, it has encountered many different rocks, geological formations, and peculiar points of interest - but nothing like this before. NASA has explained in a recent press release titled "Origins Uncertain: 'Skull Hill' Rock" that as Perseverance continued its journey down "Witch Hazel Hill" on the rim of Jezero Crater, it encountered a variety of rocks that "may have originated from elsewhere and transported to their current location."
The rover captured the above image of a rock that has been named "Skull Hill," a dark-toned float rock. Float rocks are rocks that have originated in another location and have been transported to the location where they were discovered. As for Skull Hill, researchers aren't exactly sure where it came from, with the NASA article stating it's reminiscent of meteorites found in the Gale crater by NASA's Curiosity rover.

ISS cameras spot huge mysterious writing etched onto the surface of Earth
The International Space Station (ISS) provides a unique vantage point for observing Earth, with the floating laboratory being home to not only several astronauts conducting impressive experiments in microgravity, but also a few cameras pointed directly at the surface of Earth.
One of these cameras captured something that caught the attention of Charles Black, the founder of the Earth and space livestreaming company Sen, which hosts three cameras aboard the ISS. These cameras are pointed straight down at Earth, with one's frame covering approximately 155 by 93 miles. The 4K video captured what was described as "mysterious writing etched into the sand," per Sen. From the perspective of the ISS, what was captured appeared to be letters carved into the ground of Tunisia.
These "letters" contrasted bleakly with the barren desert plains of the region, and according to Sen, the company doesn't always reveal the origin of what it's determined to be an interesting capture by its ISS cameras. The purpose of not revealing the origin is that the company wants the "audience to be engaged" by "promoting debate, discussion, and interest." The company labeled the location and let the viewers decide what they were looking at. Take a guess at what caused these markings and check if your answer aligns with the one below.
Sifu developers' take on Rocket League, Rematch, peaks at 133,000 players in open beta
Rematch, the upcoming 5v5 football title from Sifu developer Sloclap, surpassed 133,000 concurrent players on Steam during its open beta weekend - signaling strong early interest in the studio's pivot from martial arts to team-based sports.
Described by PCGamer as "Rocket League but with feet," Rematch doesn't follow the typical sports game formula. Instead of controlling an entire team, each player takes control of a single athlete, working together in real-time on a small-sided pitch. The result feels closer to Rocket League or Knockout City than traditional football sims like FIFA.
Mechanically, it's more grounded than Rocket League, but the appeal is similar: short matches, tight coordination, and a high skill ceiling. Sloclap refers to it as a "football player simulation," focusing on timing and positioning rather than full match control.
Japan's PS5 console rental services are a hit, with 200+ stores at full capacity
GEO's PS5 rental service has remained at full capacity in over 200 stores across Japan, one month after launching alongside Monster Hunter Wilds on February 28. The program lets customers rent a PS5 for eight days at 980 yen (around $6.90 USD), or opt for a longer fifteen-day plan at 1,780 yen ($12.50 USD), with daily extensions available for 500 yen.
As a firm originally focused on renting CDs, DVDs, and physical games, GEO's new PS5 rental model builds on the company's existing infrastructure. With declining demand for disc-based media and the PS5's price hike in Japan last September, GEO repurposed its logistics to incorporate console rentals without requiring major additional investment.
While uncommon today, console rentals aren't without precedent. Game shops in Japan and other regions offered similar services during the PlayStation 2 era, and rental kiosks for hardware have appeared sporadically over the years. GEO's approach modernizes the concept using its wide store network and an audience already familiar with short-term access models.
Horizon 'knockoff' Light of Motiram receives a new gameplay trailer
In a new trailer titled Outcast Forest, Tencent's Polaris Quest has offered a closer look at Light of Motiram, a co-op open-world title that continues to draw comparisons to Horizon Zero Dawn.
The gameplay footage showcases one of the game's early biomes - Outcast Forest. A dense, fog-covered region used by the Dariman Tribe to exile convicts. The environment features roaming mechanized beasts, rival tribes, and scattered ruins containing puzzles and combat trials. Players are shown switching between ranged and melee attacks, using dodge rolls and energy-based weapons to fight off enemies in both solo and cooperative encounters.
The visual design sticks closely to the tribal sci-fi aesthetic seen in previous trailers, reinforcing similarities to Guerrilla Games' Horizon series. Mechanimals, towering boss creatures, and shrine-like structures all contribute to the familiar tone. Despite this, the footage also introduces new mechanics, including large-scale co-op battles, mount traversal, and what appears to be direct mech control in certain segments of the story.

Polartherm thermal paste offers excellent and durable cooling at a great price
Thermal paste, a Thermal Interface Material (TIM), is often included in a CPU or GPU cooler; however, it's usually recommended that you use a custom thermal paste instead of the pack-in option, and for good reason.
Polartherm, from Thermal Grizzly, delivers affordable, high-quality thermal paste solutions for improved cooling and optimal performance of components like a CPU. Polartherm X-8 and Polartherm X-10 are not only easy to use with three convenient application methods but also provide optimal heat transfer and the thermal conductivity to keep PC components cool, quiet, and stable, no matter the workload.
Thermal paste, like thermal pads or liquid metal, acts as a bridge for heat transfer. In the case of a CPU or GPU, it sits between the heat spreader and the attached cooler to fill microscopic gaps. It's a crucial part of the cooling process, especially when dealing with budget or affordable CPU coolers. A less effective thermal paste can lead to performance issues, overheating, and reduced product lifespan. This is where Polartherm X-8 and Polartherm X-10 thermal paste step in.
Oblivion Remastered will be available to play right after it's officially unveiled
It's only a matter of hours before Bethesda officially unveils The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered - what was the most unkept gaming secret of 2025 (so far).
Before Bethesda confirmed the existence of the Oblivion Remastered leaks blew the lid on the project off, spurring a rampant conversation online about the leaked images, how much the game will be when it releases, and most importantly, when it will release. The rumors following the leak that showed the remastered version compared to the original 2006 title pointed to Bethesda shadowdropping the title, meaning it would receive very little marketing, if any, before it suddenly released onto respective platforms.
A new article by MP1st has now claimed Bethesda intends to make Oblivion Remastered available to play right after the livestream, which at the time of reporting, is only 8 hours away (11AM ET / 8AM PT / 4PM BST).
Radeon RX 9060 XT to be announced at Computex 2025, launch two weeks later
With NVIDIA launching the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti last week and announcing the GeForce RTX 5060 for May 2025, AMD's RDNA 4 response is set to be the Radeon RX 9060 XT. According to the latest reports and information from a known insider, Hoang Anh Phu (@AnhPhuH) The current expectation is that the GPU will be announced at Computex 2025 and launched on-shelf two weeks later.
Computex 2025 is happening a little earlier this year, from May 20 to 23 in Taipei, which would put the Radeon RX 9060 XT launch window in the first week of June. This lines up with AMD confirming that the Radeon RX 9060 XT would arrive sometime in Q2 2025; however, this is a little later than some expected.
AMD's RDNA 4 debut is still fresh in our minds. The flagship Radeon RX 9070 XT's March 6 launch delivered one of the company's best GPUs in years, thanks to the massive improvements to ray-tracing performance and the arrival of the new AI-powered FSR 4 upscaling. Plus, the aggressive $599 pricing (which, granted, only applies to a handful of models) meant that it quickly sold out in several locations.
Marvel Rivals' early UI featured a darker, grittier art style
In a video released by the Marvel Rivals visual team, fans were given a glimpse at early iterations of the game's UI - most notably featuring a harsher, more mature art style.
As shown at 02:32 in Art Vision Vol. 01, early screengrabs reveal the interface in action. Character menus at this stage featured oil-pastel-style illustrations of Doctor Strange, Hulk, and Storm, offering a rougher, more stylized take on the game's heroes.
The imagery has drawn comparisons to the dystopian noir aesthetic of Disco Elysium, known for its expressive, often grim character portraits that reinforce the game's heavier themes. While Marvel Rivals targets a broader, more casual demographic, the early UI concepts suggest that NetEase Studios briefly explored a darker tone. Ultimately, the team shifted toward a warmer, more modern aesthetic - likely a better fit for the game's hero shooter format and live-service ambitions.

GAMEMAX's BLADE CONCEPT ATX chassis features an impressive open-frame design
GAMEMAX's new flagship limited edition BLADE CONCEPT ATX gaming chassis sports an impressive, unique open-frame layout within lion-claw inspired blades that light up. The chassis is constructed using all-metal CNC machining, laser cutting, and high-precision molding, with high-strength nylon weave mesh on the front panel acting as a dust filtering system.
The open-air design means that the left and right sides of the chassis are open, allowing natural ventilation to enhance cooling. The minimal industrial design incorporates GAMEMAX's lion-inspired claw aesthetic, with the blades running across the front and top of the case. The lighting is also fully customizable.
In addition to supporting the latest high-end GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs in a vertical configuration, the back has room for a 360mm radiator for AIO coolers. It's versatile, too. The swappable I/O panel can be placed on either the left or right side of the chassis, and it includes dual USB 3.1 ports and one Type-C Gen2 port.
TEAMGROUP X2 MAX looks like a USB thumb drive - it's a fast, portable SSD
USB Flash Drives or USB Thumb Drives are still a go-to for many as they offer convenience and portability in a way that is hard to match. The only downside, at least usually, is that this convenience and portability come at a cost - speed. However, that's not the case with the TEAMGROUP X2 MAX USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 Portable SSD, as you're getting SSD technology and speed in the convenient size of a USB Flash Drive.
Available in sizable 1TB or 2TB capacities, the new TEAMGROUP X2 MAX offers transfer speeds of up to 1,000 MB/sec, significantly faster than the 140 MB/s you get from a standard fast USB Flash Drive. With USB Type-A and Type-C connectors, it's compatible with a broad range of devices, from Windows PCs to Macs, iOS devices, and even PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
However, when it comes to current-gen games, the speed here is more for backing up games than running them natively, which still requires a dedicated M.2 solution. The TEAMGROUP X2 MAX is fast enough to store and play PlayStation 4 games on a PS5 or Xbox One games on an Xbox Series console, which is impressive.
