Assassin's Creed Odyssey PC specs revealed for 30FPS only

Ubisoft has announced what kind of rig you'll need to get its new ancient Greece-themed Assassin's Creed: Odyssey up and running, but it only revealed details for 30FPS gaming.

By adapting key Greek mythology, incorporating a huge in-game map set across the sweeping Aegean, and a combat-infused story arc set across the Peloponnesian War, Assassin's Creed: Odyssey is shaping up to be something quite special. Thanks to higher-end hardware the PC version will outshine consoles considerably, and now Ubisoft isn't exactly demanding too much from PC hardware...at least if you want to play at 30FPS. Even though the game releases next month, official specs for 60FPS+ haven't been determined yet...but it's likely we'll get updates soon.

If you have a lower rig you can skirt by and game at 720p 30FPS with an Intel Core i5-2400 CPU, an AMD Radeon R9 285 or GeForce GTX 660, and 8GB of RAM. Recommended specs for 1080p 30FPS at High settings include a Ryzen 5-1400 or an Intel Core i7-3770 CPU, an AMD Radeon R9 290 or GeForce GTX 970 and 8GB of RAM.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey releases October 5, 2018 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
